On the back of Bruntingthorpe I think we should keep this going. So the question is where next?

Spa...

The Ring..

Paul Ricard? LOL

How about Anglesey, Croft, Cadwell, Oulton Park ?

Might be more expensive, but would be worth it ;)

I've gone race circuit. Hopefully there will be more twists there and mine can stand an even better chance! :D

Anybody up for a hostile take-over of an Elvington meet? Just flood the place with Skodas and let someone else do all the organising!

Anglesy... real track.. reasonably priced too.... and a fabia can beat minis round there :D

Cadwell park is slower than Bruntingthorpe, but no less challenging.

Donnington?

cadwell great track..... the mini nurburgring....

oulton.. my local but strangley i havent been

anglesey...yes please...

knockhill along way north but hey its worth it .. and cheap.

donny... would like to bt tbh for briskoda its a bit of a power circuit.. supras would be able to stretch their legs...

i am working on another little event... some low cost slaloming and a grip / drift test anyone... ???????

Donny is great for the St John Ambulance GP after the MotoGP

Circuit would be nice - better surface, more challenging, but more expensive, and less forgiving than an airfield. That said I didn't see anyone on the grass yesterday personally. I guess there were one or two - saw at least one spin, but nothing drastic.

Andy Ellis had a bit of a moment in the fast left hander after the pit straight! Think the car smelled a bit after that! ;)

Circuits can be far less than an airfield.

However they tend to be small sprint circuits. The advantage to these is you can learn them very very quickly, yet never really master them :D Surface is a major plus, especially if you look at the surface down the main straight where the left right cone section was...

You do have less space, but as I hope you all know now it takes quite a bit to make it go wrong, or water...

How clean was the track at Brunters? - one of the things that put me off was thoughts of stone being kicked up and flying around everywhere...

The only problem I found at Brunters was the fact i can now play dot to dot on my front window. This is thanks to flying insect that don't understand that flying into a car which is flat out in 4th :D is a bad idea. Also the dead rabbit on the back straight.

As for what track next. Well I'm still a novice with a small budget so somewhere which is not to difficult to learn the basic line and wont put a massive dent into my funds.

Track wasnt bad... i picked up a few chips from a vx220 who cut infront about 2-inches from my bumper.. looks worse than it is because its black and im a tart about keeping my car clean :D

I think anglesy is ideal.. was in the original running for national day but was ruled out due to it being not really central in the country.

its one of those tracks which is easy to learn, but difficult to master. its almost the cheapest proper track too at about

Oulton Park, nice track, especially on a nice summer's day :)

Dave.

Snetterton,Brands and Cadwell are my favourite tracks, yet to do Donnington and Silverstone but that will all change on Sept 5th,TRAX '04.

Angelsey sounds good to me,good excuse to go out that way for a couple of nights and enjoy some of the other great rounds in the area, put my name down!!!!

1)WrightyRS - Alex

just thought that CHAVYBOY has posted a thread about going to the York Drag strip for a day,we could make that a bit of a meet if there is enough interest.

On the subject of circuits if anyones up for fast but very challenging circuit I can see what dates Goodwood has available but maybe a weekday as they get booked a year ahead.

I think it will be up North to balance venues out ;)

Although there is much to discuss...

I agree with chrish, Goodwood is a superb track. I use to do Goodwood with the Triumph Owners club, I had a tuned Dolly Sprint in my younger years.

Colin,

Yes, that thought had crossed my mind. There is nothing like a proper circuit if at the right price and you have a set of slicks (like yours). Did Jon give yours back?

Chris

Anglesey or Oulton for me please :D Might suit mine a bit more than a high speed circuit.
