Skoda UK Customer Service

Featured Replies

Agree, in my experience Skoda UK didn't want to help me and were not helpful at all. This is the first time I've ever needed to call upon a manufacturer helpline and it wasn't nice.

I would like to add that I think I do have an excellent dealer in Alex Lawrie in Liverpool, and when my Mk2 vRS broke down with an electrical failure in the first week of owning it, the dealer fought my corner when SUK blamed the fault on me cleaning the engine bay. Cleaned in line with their instructions in the owners manual I might add :D

SUK - totally carp.

Alex Lawrie Skoda - First class service.

I think I only bought the slug instead of another "dsg" equipped car because of the dealership.

Have to agree when I had my Vrs Alex Lawrie were brilliant

So you lot think its just skoda who 'apparantly' have crap customer service helplines?

No.

Firstly, IMO there's something wrong if you get to the stage of talking to the manufacturer or importer rather than the dealership.

Secondly, my experiences with the 2 Glasgow Skoda dealers have been nothing but positive. What else can you call it when a main dealer says "your rear discs are nearly worn out", but doesn't try and persuade you to get them to do the replacement?

Customer care were spot on with the help I received with my Fabia Vrs se brakes, replaced front and rear discs/pads at 11,000 mile due to corrosion, couldnt have been more helpful. Cheers to Westend Garage Broxburn for the speedy repair.

My local dealer has been absolutely brilliant, in that I have had 3 Skodas, all from Adamsons.

Any issue and they will sort without quibble. Here are my positives.

1st Octy , no issues.

2nd Octy, Rattle coming from back of car after 14 months, mech guy found that the rear N/S door lock needed tightening.

Fabia - Bought bulb from them ( cheaper thatn Halfrauds), fitted free form me. Advised Discs needed sorting, have had done elsewhere, Car failed MOT due to 1 of the rear discs not holding, and too much slack in handbrake, stopped off at dealer on the way home to book the fix in, they took the car off me at 13:00, loaned me a car to get home, sorted brakes and cable, took car back for retest for me and only charged £20 to fix.

I cannot fault my local dealer, Would buy another , but NO favbia vrs :(

on a slight tangent, but has anyone actually had GOOD experiances with ANY main dealer or brand customer services?

cos i know that all the ones ive dealt with have been roughly the same :(

Toyota and ford have been great for relatives, skoda seem to have their ups and down moment.

The times I have had dealings with their customer service, they have been fine. I had cause to contact them a couple of months ago, and they replied via email with the answers to my questions within the hour and even sent a confirmation letter via the post with the same information.

Had a Skoda experience today, Was waiting for my car to be serviced, Browsing amongst the cars for sale it been a nice day, A salesman asked if I needed any assistance repeated what was stated above, Hence I asked the question, What would I expect to get for a Vrs Le 8900 on the clock immaculate all round, I was quoted about £7600. Not bad that considering it cost £12.995 Twelve months ago, I dont think I will be doing the Skoda stuff again, Once bitten twice shy as they say, I dont think a pushchair would depreciate that much,
