Thanks, should have said tho - Mk2 pls.

Fronts on the Octy II RS are still 312mm but 5x112 and with a different offset to MKI.

Red and Green calipers on MKII are the same except for the colour.

What dictates red or green? (car colour?)

ALso how do these compare to std Octy?

Red was introduced on MY2007 and later cars.

I thought red calipers dictate a diesel and green a petrol, or maybe dealer lied to me!

He did.

Both my petrol cars have had red.

 Nothing like a dealer that knows his product.

... and that is nothing like a dealer that knows his product!!! :P

As Stu said above MY07 change. :)

..............although why Skoda changed from Green to Red has never been established but rumoured to be a cost saving exercise.

I would think so, parts from the VW parts bin.

As important as the colour is... :)

Have we established the difference in rotor size vRS vs STD??

280x22 5/112 Front Teves

288x25 5/122 Front Teves

312x25 5/112 Front RS Fitment

255x10 5/112 Rear Lucas

260x12 5/112 Rear Lucas

286x10 5/112 Rear Lucas RS Fitment

well done Stu; knew we could rely upon you to come up with the goods!

May I put it another way;-

Standard - 280/255 or 288/260

vRS - 312/286

All in mm & front/rear.

The next question will be; what is the difference with the two 'standard' sizes? Is it just how they come off the production line or is it, say, the larger for TDI models?

As a matter of interest is the x12 x10 x22 x25 the thickness of the disc?

Yes it is. The thicker ones are the vented discs.
