Insurance for Octy vRS!

Featured Replies

More Than have done mine for £309 including guaranteed NCB and European break down cover.

It does get better as you get older, but it's a bit of a bugger when SAGA won't cover you because you're not old enough.

A little bit of advice from John The Insurance in town - put an older driver on as a named driver, it 'often' lowers the premium...........

Adrian flux wouldn't quote me!! Well... they said they couldn't compete with £1051. Shame...

Nice one, the extra cash could go towards that new exhaust ;)

Did you have to ring em or can you do it online?

Have to ring them, if you fill out the form online they just ring you back ... so might save a bit of time.

Chuffed...

The only thing I might do is ring them up tomorrow and say I have a full silicone hose hit and a CAI (haven't got them yet, but planning too in the next year) because if I decided to change them mid policy they add an admin fee.

Will see if they'll do it first, but because the policy doesn't actually start till next month I think they will.

Good idea? :)

When I changed a few bits with them they said fine, but there might be a admin fee for some changes, so get it done before as it shouldn't bump the price up at all.

I've just got a quote from MoreThan...less than 1/2 of anyone elses quote!

I got a quote from morethan for £350. However personally I would not touch them with a bargepole. They took the money but never actually insured the car! turned out the quote failed to turn in to policy (checking the internet this has happened a number of times to people) leaving me uninsured for the best part of a week, they neglected to bother to tell me this though! I called, they said they sorted it, next day I called to verify only to find out still not insured. Went with tesco, £467 quid and worth every extra pound after my lessthan experience. (Still waiting for my money back).

If you do go with morethan make sure you get a policy number from them, not a qc number which apparently is just a quote reference. I received emails and a "thankyou your policy starts on.." webpage but apparently that means nothing.

more than quoted me 600, then took 150 off when i added my mother, A frequent user of my car....(3 miles this year!)

not too bad considering i live in middle of beirut, sorry, i mean glasgow.
