Have some quotes but not in front of me, full colour both sides (depends on design) and colour one sided for whatever batch sizes work out best.

Re designs, as discussed no skoda logo, feel free to use the site's logo and font.

Sam or MAS of sticker and badge fame is working on some designs, but the criteria I laid out is pretty much what you have all acheived above.

With emphasis on global resource and not UK. I admit the UK is biased but working on that this year to open up other areas, so multilingual equivlents might be a bonus

Space for a left by members name is vital!

I work at a printers, printing on a digital printer so should be able to print small batches if req.

Just need a suitable PDF file to print from, when a design is finalized.

Ideal size about 85mm x 55mm (can print 25 at once) so 2500 cards wont take long, will ask my boss if I can do a cash job.

Can print on a nice business card board, or a smooth matt or glossy board aswell.

How about this for an idea ?

I can get the card adjusted over the weekend ( by Mon 6 June), as follows.

Remove ' english language ' from the text, and put who the card is from , between the last line and the car outlines.

Decide on colour spec.

( IMHO the logo should remain as seen on the site & is displayed on the card.)

Post your ideas for colour layout.

All of you that can provide a quote for printing, post your quantities and cost...

( we then take the cheapest )

Could we then decide on Fri 11 June, the final spec of the card and who wins the order .

Here are 2 attachments of the cards as specified. You can have them in whatever format you like as its been done in illustrator.

They look good. I think the logo looks better as white on black, i.e. the one on the left.

I realise this is semi group thing here, but what if you were to say print off the finalised design, then take it to a local printer and have then done with the background of your car colour with say silver or black text?

Much like the old eyeball cards we used to have in the days of CB radio ( yes I was part of the 25 group)

I meant to say that if you went with the finalised edition, but had them done yourself rather than group then you could have the background in your car colour and text in say silver (my case) then you could have your "handle" printed on the cards as well.

This was just an idea that came to me and in no way is an attempt to undermine the good and hard work put in by those involved.

Well in a way yes.....you use the final agreed design, just inserting your name/nik/handle in the space allowed.

Could even then swap between yourselves to make recognition easier at meets.

I suggest one large print run, to keep costs down, most people will only need a fairly small quantity of cards.

The backs of cards should be blank so brief messages can be left on cars.

Distribution via the rather good Briskoda "network", then only those on the extremities of the network would need cards posted. Especially as we are in the meeting season at the moment.

Think we also need tax disk holders, or some other way to ID Briskoda Members to prevent business cards being put on cars for no reason.

Okay I have a few designs sent to me by email aswell.

I'll take copies of all the designs and print out; aswell as publish here.

re Print runs, I don't mind having a selection of cards and print costs are still quite low.

Unless anybody has any contacts I'll call the chaps I last spoke to.

Re Distribution my assessment was for me to have a large pile of cards. Any user wanting any could send a SAE to me (address will be published later) and then they should get a selection back; say 5 of each i.e. 15 cards.

We can have mono single side, mono double sided and colour of single and double sided aswell.

Let me get the designs together and I'll come back to you
