The New Ibiza

Featured Replies

What Car came in the post today and it had the new Ibiza, the new interior is amazing much better then the Fabia's which is boring.

Ones a Seat and ones a Skoda...

i did envy their new climat control facias and that glossy stuff, its got a bigger boot too than the fabia...hmmm not so keen on the exterior tho.

I was really surprised SEAT showed the production car so soon after the concept. Seems a bit weird that.

The car does look good though, but I think the interior still looks a little cheap and plasticky although the design is quite funky.

It has slight touches of 1 Series Beemer down the side....

No it doesn't, the SEAT looks quite nice :D

it still looks too fat like the old ibiza... errgh :( and the grills a funny shape! looks like its wareing braces and has had an extreem face tuck haha!

they should of made that black mouth concept instead!!:P

That's what I don't get. Why release a concept then two weeks later say "haha it's not going to look like that afterall, here's the real one"

At least they kept us waiting a couple of years for the Roomster!

For those of you who don't know what it looks like........

THE NEW IBIZA

They say its the first model to use the new VW small car platform... looks like skoda missed the boat on that one.. :(

the Fabia was the first to use the last generation platform.

I prefer the fabia interior. That looks gash to me - but as Seat are supposed to appeal to the "younger" drivers the fake bling will probably do it's job.

I really like the new Ibiza from the pics I saw on Seatcupra.net. Not seen the magazine article, but did it mention when they might start making them?

Looks MUCH better than the fabia mark 2.

The sporty ones could be promising.

Looks like a corsa to me.

It would look better if it had smooth sides and not 'creasy' ones (sorry, couldn't think of a better word at this time of night). I think it's one of those I'll have to see before I make my mind up.

I'm liking the interior of the concept though.

Thats a tidy motor

I like it....

I like it, it does have a touch of BMW flame surfacing (IIRC) but it looks really good. If the new B Segment car looks similar to this it could be my next one!

Similar lines around the back.

I'd still go for the Mazda myself, awesome little car, very very light and handle very well indeed.

i think in reality the new beezer is much bigger than the M2..... but the M2 is a cracker... guy down the street has one.. lovely looking car.

that looks nice, much much nicer than the fabia and is it just me or does that concept look virtually the same as the real thing other than the black bits, to me that concept is simply the cupra to come.

One of the Skoda techs I used to work with has bought one (in that green as well). Lowest emissions in its group and really shifts as it weighs under the tonne iirc. Very well put together and hasnt had one issue with it yet.

Ahh I dont like SEATs big grilles that they use now , I like the Mazda 2 though , and the new Fiesta looks promising also , I assume there will be a carry over of bits between the Mazda and Ford.

According to Autocar the new Fiesta is based on the same underpinnings as the Mazda. No evidence that you'll be able to get either with a diesel motor that has similar power and torque to an ordinary 1.9 TDi Fabia. Oh well, another Fabia for me then...
