Well, for those that read "evo" magazine, they have a forum, and it wasn't bad once....

I post on it, and my sig mentioned the octy, and I had a PM from "some bloke" about the octavia. I gave him my moby and told him to come up for a run. This primera SRI owner came up to one of the "thursday night" meets and within a week had his very own octy.

Thats how I met Colin....

Huck, Manny, Jon were all on Vortex

On Vortex we had one catagory, and was a bit stifling.. we bounced around the idea of a seperate community and one day on MSN colin said "take a look at this url" and he'd gone off and written the first version of this forum in one evening!

We told Huck, he started using it and (being the PR whizz he is) he began promoting it on vortex, slowly but surely the "vortex" crowd moved over here.

Oh, and the name you can blame me for, it was this or "peppy-skoda" in a pepsi cola style font!

And now they let anyone in lol ! (YES ME TOO !)

I think the name is brilliant... so much better than www.stowners.co.uk (that's ST owners if you hadn't guessed ).

Well we needed something unique for getting the URL and also a word that would work on yahoo \ google etc...

Wonder just how BIG and for how long BRISKODA can go. Notice we are getting close to 3000 members now! Of the 'car enthusiast sites',who has the largest membership...if anyone knows?

Thing I like in here is the fact that you can discuss all manner of subjects. Havn't really studied the others too much,ain't really got the time or inclination...spend most if not all in here!!

Mrs cj reckons I've become an internet junkie since I got this machine,and complains I don't talk to her anymore Told her that I admit to not watching the rubbish she watches on tv much anymore,but denied that we don't still have some good barneys normally instigated from in here granted!

On the 7th day god (well ok, Ian, Colin, Huck, Jon etc) created Briskoda. Followers were many, the word spread quickly. Meetings were plentiful.
