I think these are all things you should be asking the dealer, where's the mat, tool kit and missing lumber support knob. If I remember correctly, sold my Kamiq in August, you get the compressor and tyre gunk, locking nut key and tow eye(s) bolts and probably a wheel wrench. Not sure on the jack and handle, a few cars recently haven't got those in the kit. Yep, I'd be asking the dealer where the missing items are first.
  4. Photo showing it in action.
  5. Hi lee01, viewing the vehicle tomorrow it has the 8.25 inch touch screen with digital cockpit i know if you have the 10 inch you can have a conventional speed rev counter layout, see what it's like tomorrow. Thanks
  6. I mean, I've had the Octavia for 10 years and I just don't need the space now we have another fanily car. I don't drive as much as I used to, and most of that is <100 miles, so EVs make sense. I'm looking at a Cupra Born, which was better to drive than I expected. Infotainment is maddening(!) but I can get used to that, and I think overall it's a really nice place to be.

There are online translation tools available to assist you (e.g. Google Translate) Camshaft/crankshaft position sensor fault (G40) I’m asking for advice to see if anyone has encountered this issue, as I’m at a loss for what to do next and am turning to the power of the internet. Out of nowhere, the car started making a noise like an old diesel engine; it’s a 2017 2.0 TSI (206 kW) with 189,000 km on the clock. The noise stopped after a cold start, but the "Check Engine" light came on the following day. In April of this year, I replaced both camshaft magnets (INA N205 units). Diagnostics showed two errors: 1. Camshaft/Crankshaft Position Sensor Implausible signal Sporadic fault 2. Bank 1: Intake Camshaft Retarded timing setpoint not reached Our first thought was the timing components; we inspected them and found that the previous owner (in Germany) had replaced some parts (specifically the plastic components), though the chain and sprockets had not been changed. When the connector to the exhaust camshaft adjuster was unplugged, the noise stopped, suggesting a faulty camshaft. A genuine Škoda replacement camshaft (complete with the sensor) was purchased. We used old oil mixed with a cleaner to flush the engine (to remove some carbon deposits) and then installed fresh oil and a new filter; we cut open the old filter and found very little debris. We measured the cylinder compression, and each cylinder showed 8 bar. The following were replaced: Oil and filters Sump plug Dipstick O-ring Magnet cover gasket Crankshaft oil seal Coolant Exhaust camshaft Camshaft valve Timing cover plate Sump gasket Sump O-rings Dipstick O-ring BG109 flush After these parts were replaced, the car was started; however, once the engine warmed up and the oil temperature exceeded 80°C, the noise returned and the check engine light came on. Thanks in advance for any advice. I am also attaching the latest diagnostic report.

I've been a long-time lurker and reader but have finally joined, hopefully I'll be of help to someone else. 2016 Yeti 4x4 diesel and a 2014 Fabia VRS Mk2 in the household. Based in Northumberland, England with a fabulous independent VW/Skoda/Audi specialist nearby. Hello to all! I have finally fixed the dreaded clock-sync problem on my Yeti's Amundsen satnav and I'm delighted! 🥳

  10. Sorry, but that is BS. Especially mentioning Seat here, together with Cupra they are very noisy cars. Perhaps something is broken in your Octavia so you find it more noisy, but in general it is the same as similar class VW cars. No modern car remembers settings which EU regulation mandates them to forget. But unlike others, at least in newer models Skoda offers a button to quickly return to previous settings. Not the case in Octavia yet, but show me any other car from around 2020 which is better in this regard?

Hi and welcome to the forums, I'm sure there are 4x4 Octavia owners among our diverse group

  14. I've had my Octavia 1.5 tsi mhev for 10 days now and last night I experienced exactly the same thing. It's got 250 miles on the clock and I've had a dash cam fitted with parking mode. I believe that this may be my problem, as it also gave my last car a few issues with the battery. Last night I got in my Octavia and it wouldn't turn over at all and my yellow battery light also came on. J turned the dash cam offI and tried it again 30 minutes later...... started first time!. I've adjusted the dash cam to only record when driving the car, so am hopeful that this will solve the problem. It's started fine all day today. My dashcam fitter had said that dash cams can drain batteries quite quickly in parking mode. Lesson learned.....hopefully. Love the car though, and still trying to get everything set up on the very complicated (for me anyway) infotainment system.
  15. No, because this problem ocures eaven when is warm outside and car stands on sun
  16. Well, this thread was a bit of a rollercoaster. I've given my car all it needs, and more, yet it keeps throwing up issues. I've now got an issue with the steering system (probably the rack, unless the drop links have decided to suddenly go), and having just spent over £800 getting some jacking point damage on the sills fixed, it''s pretty gutting. What are you thinking of next?
  17. Thanks but none of these address my question and two are related to the IV which I don't have hence my post.
