  1. My second (new) Yeti lost its Air Con coolant after a stone shot through the air con radiator. After replacement I made and fitted a mesh screen to give some measure of protection.
  2. I don't consider this car has a history of 'bad luck' by any means! I put diesel in the tank and that issue was quickly resolved: caused by my inattention nothing to do with the car.
  3. I have tried that (thanks for the suggestion) I am now trying prayer, as I could not find the reset hole for my paperclip ☚ī¸đŸ˜„
  4. Uneventful trip to the local health centre and back home, on arriving home there was no info in the MFD but there had been on the outward trip. Is it something that just needs resetting or is it a dealer job?
  5. Uneventful drive to my local health centre and back. On arriving home I was about to get out of the car when I noticed the MFD was not displaying anything, any ideas why? It was fine when I went out.
  6. Non Digital Speedometer, MFD shows average speed as a large display ..... Why can't I use this large display to show miles per hour? Or can I?
  7. Could it be a "key" battery low or out of range / shielded in some way?
  8. I am not in the habit of forcing mechanical bits, in fact with apprentices it was one of those things along with safety that I uttered until they understood, Don't Force Things if you have to there is probably something wrong.
  9. Super service, drained the tank flushed. put in a couple of gallons checked the fuel line which was good and clean. I refilled the tank with petrol and drove home he followed me until I turned off. A load off my mind. Worth another mention if I may, www.wrongfuelassistence.net 07456 229 071 If I had, had trouble I would have been alerted! but it just went in as normal. Perhaps Skoda opted for a universal fuel tank neck?? The Garage is an ESSO station, the Diesel came from a Supreme pump.
  10. Judder, injectors not working dirty fuel or wrong fuel?
  11. I have a someone coming to clean out the tank https://www.wrongfuelsos.co.uk/wrong-fuel-petrol-in-diesel-from-120-00-chewton-keynsham-somerset/ Then do I just fill with petrol and hope for the best?
  12. Thank you for the information I ordered the Bosch Rear Wiper A303H from the same source, it arrived very quickly and fitted with no problem.
  13. I read tyre reviews they normally include noise tests. For instance; https://www.autoexpress.co.uk/product-group-tests/91856/tyre-reviews-best-car-tyres-buy-now other reviews/tests are available.
  14. Heated screens have come on leaps and bounds, my first heated screen (I think) had two wires, and the first time I drove the car at night it showed delamination areas, not visible in daylight! The screen was changed without a quibble.
  15. Make sure the scuttle drains are free of dead leaves and similar detritus.
  16. Have you looked at the gromet in the spare tyre well? my gromet was there but not fitted
  17. My last couple of cars I used an OBD cable of the type that can be switched, which in my opinion makes a fuss free installation but you must make up your own mind as others say it should not be used?
  18. Thank you for that.
  19. Keynsham, today, seen in Bath Hill car park a Fabia with personalised plates. A badge on the back said All Electric! Anyone?
  20. I had a similar problem and drained the reservoir then refilled it with hand hot water then bled it through after letting it stand for a few minutes. after I got it clear I was recommended VW own washer fluid and I had no further trouble. The problem apparently was "curds" (you tell me!)
  21. I had a problem with the fuel tank cap on one car I owned, removing the cap caused a little sigh as air rushed in! the car was fine afterwards. Don't forget to replace the cap. On my Ford Focus the problem was again a fuel cap but this one left me crossing a roundabout with my caravan it took a long time to sort out, finally by a car tech reading all the alerts put out by Ford over several years! the car was fine towing and cruising just idling under some circumstances the engine would stop, by the time a breakdown van arrived the engine would restart and no fault recorded.
  22. Don't do what the bloke behind me was doing, looking toward the roof lining talking, instead of eyes on the road !
  23. I watched a local garage use the 'easy method' this is for interest only I do not recommend it.
  24. I would take someone to watch the fuel gauge while you add fuel, pause, add fuel.
  25. Have you got a parking wheel clamp on that side?😁😁😉
