  1. I keep looking for a small Skoda Hybrid, like a Fabia but they have rejigged a Scala model (Scala reminds me of a failed electrical store) Does anyone have any positive news?
  2. I prefer a spare, having seen people getting no results from a sealant bottle, (I suspect the sealant was out of date)
  3. If you have a breakdown subscription AA, or RAC or similar surely a phone call to them would get help to sort your charging problem given your post op condition? Gentle coaxing would probably the order of the day, possibly a little fib or two!
  4. Remember to take damp coats, dehumidifiers, clothes etc. out of the car when you get home. The dehumidifiers need warming to dry the crystals out and don't put wet kit, or windscreen covers in the boot and leave them they all connect to the cars cockpit. PS the car is not necessarily airtight so in effect the dehumidifier packs will try to dry out the planet!😄
  5. I had a fright or two with the auto braking operating when cars have approached from my left or right as I emerged from a supermarket car park one car stopped at a postbox across the road, the other gave way to let me out.
  6. Oooops! sorry no plagiarism intended, I just have no system .
  7. I was sent this , please delete if not of use https://www.skoda-storyboard.com/en/skoda-world/innovation-and-technology/tips-tricks-windscreen-wipers-and-sprays-deserve-care-and-attention/
  8. I originally bought a cam with a rear facing camera plug in but I didn't like it I now want to fit a cabled rear screen camera. My first choice would be bottom centre but top centre might be quicker and easier. I can run the cable along the edge of the roof lining right from front to back. Can anyone see any snags? practical or legal.
  9. This is interesting and I will use some of these ideas. If I could contribute one idea, take strips of the tough but flexible bubble part of a bubble packaging fold it equally over the cable and tuck the folded plastic in under the edge of the headlining. I do this because I hire my cars and need to remove it without mess. I evolved this method to run my wifes' radio aerial and power leads along the tops of kitchen splashbacks safely and easily.
  10. Why don't you ask (as it is only 1 mile) if you can use the company car?
  11. Thank you very much, I will get it tattooed on the inside of my bottom lip!
  12. I cannot remember how to park my wipers ready for the snow , could the explanation be fixed so as I can always find it please.
  13. This is one of her videos, I posted a separate response earlier in the week, https://www.youtube.com/shorts/yLZryPRP26E
  14. Perhaps they need the money to pay for the "couple of things" ask them why?
  15. Not much help, but I was watching a you-tube "short" and the young asiatic lady was expert in getting cars running. Bad starting was dealt with with minimum tools and a little cleaning very quickly. Perhaps worth a search?
  16. Previous cars have occasionally had cable loom , that should be held in place by a sticky pad, has come adrift and the whole lot tat, tap ,taps. Squeaks, the plastic trip joints spray or wipe some silicone polish or similar between the joints.
  17. Is it showing a low pressure or just a change in pressure? when I was towing and the tyres got warm I would get a warning. You still have to check all four tyres to see if you do have a problem though.
  18. My first car with Air Conditioning I drove from the dealers to my local supermarket, I shopped I came out to the car and there was water all over the floor, eek! I checked all the hoses and for puddles in the engine floor pan then drove back to the dealer. A technician came straight out to the car took one look and put a finger in the water then tasted it. Air Con condensation he said but checked the hoses anyway. Phew! I see people get worried for the same reason and just taste the water and tell them it is

  20. I have a similar noise at speed, partly solved by removing my C-tek charger bag from the glove box
  21. I drove my last Yeti from the dealers to Norwich and found I had lost all sensation in my left hip, I hobbled around a truckstop vehicle park a truck driver said "take your bl00dy wallet out of your back pocket you will get on better" and so I did and have done so since.
  22. I came across this and thought that it may be useful to someone on here
  23. I always wipe the mirrors, its an old habit, same with the windows modern car batteries work hard enough so a quick wipe won't go amiss.
  24. I bought a little RFID pouch from Amazon. It works very well. I put my kessy key in it and tried to start the, car nothing! as long as the pouch is velcro-ed shut.
  25. inadvertently pressing one of the fob buttons for too long , I remember a similar incident and had to juggle ignition key to reset.
