  2. Just a thought; If the car is unlocked and then locks is it possible the delay on the hatch might enable you access IF you are quick enough! I always keep my key with me after leaving it on my drivers seat once.
  3. My rear wiper had acquired a 'set' and only squeegeed in one direction then juddered in the reverse direction after about 800 miles. I fitted the Bosch replacement and it has gone nicely ever since. I suspect the sprung arm was too powerful and needed to relax.
  4. It no longer gives the responder the information of cars owned by the poster or responder, for instance my Fabia has a DSG gearbox.
  5. I had just been told that there is adjustment but I have chosen not to say anything because it can affect other settings and should only be adjusted by a Skoda Tech (I am told)
  6. Just curious is there any adjustment height-wise on my Fabia Brake pedal? I occasionally catch the welt/edge of my shoe on the pedal.
  7. I have not fitted this Fabia with mudflaps but I did fit them to the estate version (Kombi) and all my other Skoda. I remember the genuine Skoda Flaps fitted where the wheel arch liner screws were already fitted and the flap screws had to be longer to take the extra thickness of the flap. This was the same ,back and front.
  8. I have a mk.4 SE L I have no idea what the entertainment unit is but I use Media player, and a 256gb SanDisk Ultra stick. I did have a problem with SD cards but it turned out I had recorded with random tracks selection on and the system did not like it, Not much of an explanation, sorry, but my sons usually put me right, I hope it gives you food for thought.
  9. usb A to usb C right angle cables work well and don't put too much strain on the cars usb ports
  10. I have used one of these cables with all my Skodas It has a switch which powers off the dashcam after 5minutes It can be switched to keep the dashcam on. Rearmaster universal OBD power cable for dashcams, 24 hour surveillance with mode switch button mini USB. Amazon about £15+ Nextbase do a similar cable 4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 1,070 ratings

My late Brother, bought two smaller (cheaper) crates an joined them together to get one the right size for his two Springer Spaniels. Bars were cut and joined with tubing to allow adjustment, sliding in to install and out and locked to maximise space. Have a look here https://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_nkw=used+dog+cratesLarge&_sacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p4432023.m570.l1313
  12. I have been very happy with all my Skoda cars, problems have been few and my dealers Tech Team have sorted anything that arose (Platinum Bath) So that is two Yeti, a Fabi Kombi Monte Carlo, a Kamiq Monte Carlo 1.5 and now a Fabia SE L (and I do like the wheel trims )
  13. Torn anti vibration mount / engine mount there must be two nuts about somewhere, the bolts are captive welded.
  14. Tyre pressures too low for the load carried?
  15. Look after your battery, keep it fully charged or you will get odd things happening (as has been said already)
  16. I use one of the new style sandisk ultra flair 256 gb memory sticks. works well
  17. Tracker I saw was in the boot drivers side
  18. I nearly bought a Suzuki Swift hybrid but it was not as big as the Fabia.
  19. My frost screen protector had wing mirror pockets, I bought it after one mirror (the windward side froze up) If frost were forecast I put the cover on and stuffed the mirror pockets with dry J-clothes.
  20. My heated seat (drivers) stopped working, dealers techs. said Kneeling on the seat caused it. Luckily another guy said they had just replaced something and it all worked fine. It did for the 3 years I had it.

I was ferrying beer to a party and one of my passengers knocked a plastic flagon and spilled it in the rear footwell, I was stopped by the police who were looking for info about an RTC they thought it was hilarious. I mopped up, wrung out and once dry, sprayed with a pet product that a policeman recommended then left to air The smell lingered for a couple of days then faded away.

I bought a hose dispenser for my Yeti which stopped when the correct level was reached. I can also remember a smaller quantity ad blue bottle that came with a rigid spout that cut off when the correct level was reached. Have you tried either option.
  23. I had the Monte Carlo Kamiq in a strange grey/green colour (which I grew to like) It was brilliant on petrol and sooo comfortable I loved the performance esp the acceleration and dsg gearbox. I have had to cut back to a Fabia SE L 1L which suits me and my reduced mileages.
  24. I had a cool box that I bought to run in the boot of my first Yeti but I couldn't as there was no plug I may be a little mixed up but there was no plug or a light that was not connected or a variation of this a plug but not connected but a light that was.
  25. I cannot recall having a rear power socket or boot lights in any of my Skoda most have been top models,
