Wiper speed / Oil topup lid
Sorry I misunderstood. My wipers always rest in the same position as far as I can recall. If it rains tomorrow I will investigate.

Wiper speed / Oil topup lid
I would not know I have not used the park as I never remember it exists, I just have long enough arms to reach each in turn. The same goes for the alternate park positions, my boys tell me I am a technophobe!😄

Wiper speed / Oil topup lid
I give my wiper blades a frequent wipe with wiper wash on a cloth and keep the wiper parking area clean. It helps the initial take off when the wipers are turned on until you can give a squirt from the washer bottle.

What tyre brand/model did your Fabia came with
I like to tramp on and the car corners predictably and accurately, I do tone it down in the wet but that is only sensible. Other traffic respected in all conditions of course.

Parking brake non-functional, ACC not available
Many Car Manufacturers use the same parts from the same suppliers, search online with any numbers on the part you have. photographs help with reconnection as well as finding the part

Goodyear Efficient Grip, I find them very good, wet or dry.

Best car cover for Skoda Felicia when left outside during summer?
The only notable damage I have ever seen due to sun damage was across the back of the rear seat and it had been left parked with the rear of the car facing the noon day sun for three weeks in the South Of France! The dark cloth upholstery had all but smouldered.

Tyre pressure warning light
People should check their tyre condition before every trip (in theory) it is when all is said and done your only contact with the road (and life!) I checked and logged tyre pressures on the works van I drove with 5-6 people aboard. I took it for an MOT and the inside of one tyre had a long bubble (about 8") The tyres were new 3 months previously and my daily checks had shown pressures were checked daily so all tyres were replaced free of charge by the suppliers. With another make!!

EmilyFabia Did you resolve this issue? if so how.

Tyre pressure warning light
*ugger, I left my car in the sun while I did some shopping (20 to 30 minutes) When I came back I drove the short distance home and the tyre pressure warning came up. I took tyre pressures and the tyre in the sun pressure was highest. Reset warning after the tyres cooled and away it went. I will check my tyres all round when I can find the space to park on the road. * Leave Nothing to Chance*

I thought it sounded like induction noise

Front Assist Faulty?
Being good drivers, you are already taking charge of the braking so the system merely acknowledges that it was ready to apply the brakes

The most comfortable 225/50/17 tyres ?
I always liked the Goodyear Efficient Grip, I towed with them and did a lot of solo miles, I really rate them.

Is the Fabia a good or bad car to own?
I'm on my second Fabia , like bluntsteakknife I keep them 3-4years, the performance is good and the interior is as well.

High pitched sound coming from dashboard
I don't hear it and my hearing is very good. Could it actually be your tinnitus? probably not (hopefully) but worth considering. As above for isolating any noise tracing. Could it be a warning sound like seatbelt not done up, window not quite shut or door seal allowing wind noise. I had an awful noise once, someone had not fully closed a rear window. I could not place the direction. Fanbelt, water pump . leaf or similar in the heater system ?

mpg
The 20mph speed limit has meant that people no longer use crossings, they now expect drivers to give way wherever they feel like crossing. They (the pedestrians) no longer take responsibility for their own safety as being *their responsibility* it is all upon the driver.

Does the 1.5 TSI Have Rear Disc Brakes?
I saw a beautiful new looking dark Blue Fabia today , I could not see any obvious badges, the rear had large drums but the front had huge discs something like 10" diameter.

Beeping on hard acceleration
Perhaps its the autopilot trying to bail out, do you get traffic speed restriction warnings, or perhaps the cruise control is set?

Aero covers removed
I had the 1L monte estate, manual g/box and thoroughly enjoyed driving it, I now have the SE-L 1L d.s.g and after a period of caution I really love the performance. I had a 350 Viper and 500 Venom Velocettes but having worked with bikers who have had run ins with car drivers I will stick with the slick new Fabia mk.4

Why doesn't my non-digital speedometer show 30 mph
I have the non digital speedometer in my 2024 reg. SE L, it does not show a 30mph position and as 30mph is about 48.280kph it is just a tad difficult to estimate the needle position when driving. Is this legal? could I use it as a defence?.

Blind Spot Mirrors
Are blind spot mirrors worth fitting, I refer of course to the small rimless mirrors that are stuck onto the existing wing mirrors. I think they might help with reversing but have no experience of them.
