  1. I think I'd be suspecting the brake pads. The anti-rattle springs on the back of them might be missing/damaged. Not sure what your pads look like but some of them have a spring clip which pushes inside the piston and can rattle if it's not a firm fit. Also it's not unheard of to have pattern pads where the metal backing plate is a tiny bit too small. I somehow doubt the cause is the actual caliper as I've never come across it before with these types of calipers. There is a tiny bit of flex built into the rubber inserts that contain the bushes.
  2. The rivets are just aluminium, so most metal drills will do it.
  3. Check to see if your brake lights are working too.
  4. P0727 relates to the crank position sensor or its wiring. Check you haven't disturbed the wiring while you were working on the car.
  5. Penny-pinching/quicker to install on the production line is my theory. The buggers 🙄
  6. The ABS one looks potentially cracked but it's hard to tell. Give it a poke.....
  7. You need to look at the big strip fuses on top of the battery. Post a photo here if possible. These....
  8. That's because his Fabia is an earlier model and has bolts holding the panel to the door instead of pop rivets.
  9. You have to swap your existing speaker to the new regulator panel as new ones don't come with speakers. There are four pop rivets holding the speaker to the panel & ten rivets (bolts were used on early models) holding the panel to the door. These have to be drilled out and new rivets fitted. Suitable short nuts and bolts can be used for the speaker instead of rivets if preferred - they must be short enough for the glass not to catch on them. Speaker rivets: Size 4.8x15mm. Part number N90765701 Door panel rivets: Size 6.4x10mm. Part number N91078801
  10. Sorry, looking at Fabia. Wrong car 😋
  11. Fuse 36 comes up as licence plate light when I look it up?
  12. Du hast den Motor kaputt gemacht.
  13. Couple of old pics from the briskoda wishbone guide. Sorry about the photobucket watermarks.
  14. Glad it's fixed 🙂 Fuse might have been making a bad contact if it wasn't blown. Or maybe removing the fuse caused something to reset.
  15. Fuse 31 & 49 are the central locking.
  16. Seems strange how it only happened after you changed the window regulator though. Seems more likely that it's related to that rather than a module. Have you checked the fuses?
  17. You can get them in Halfords if you don't have one.... https://www.halfords.com/motoring/roof-bars-roof-boxes/roof-box-accessories/halfords-essentials-5m-ratchet-strap
  18. You can use a ratchet strap. Only usually needed for the standard bushes but it will work for the PSB ones too.
  19. Have you checked if the plug is pushed onto the lock unit properly inside the door?
  20. Do you find being a plonker amusing? This place is for people to come and seek helpful car advice , so if you have nothing constructive to add, why not shut yer pie-hole, eh? You probably made this new member feel about as welcome as a hedgehog in a condom factory.
  21. Had a really annoying intermittent buzzing/vibration coming from the rear of mine, which I thought was inside the car but turned out to be the rear exhaust heatshield rattling due to corroded fixing holes. Decided to bin it as it's not really needed on a food-mixer powered 1.4 MPI.
  22. I can't wait until you tell us that when you press the rear window switches, the front ones go down and vice versa
