  4. Remove the door cards and seal the rear door carriers as suggested by Pete. They are notorious for leaking.
  5. In my experience, it's hardly ever the main door rubber seals.
  6. Getting it back on is even harder
  7. It's a combined fuel & vacuum pump (tandem pump) for the brake servo and any other vacuum feeds. You can buy a seal kit for them.

  9. I remember when people used to stuff that silver paper into Christmas light bulb holders when they didn't have a spare bulb This was before the bulbs had shunts in them.

  14. I don't think anyone's going to know that. It's a specific part with moulded end fittings not just a piece of pipe. Part number 6Y0816311
  15. Thing is that sometimes noises on cars can be deceptive and what sounds like the rear can sometimes be the front.
  16. Sometimes defective tyres can make a humming noise.
  17. Are you sure it's coming from the rear? Only other thing I can think of is a dodgy tyre.
