Apparently, they are awful for normal road driving.
-
Certainly sounds like it, unfortunately.

Sad news, for one of our members has passed away.

Only just seen this. Didn't know him but saw his name around the forum many times. R.I.P -
Remove the door cards and seal the rear door carriers as suggested by Pete. They are notorious for leaking.
-
In my experience, it's hardly ever the main door rubber seals.

Getting it back on is even harder

Skoda fabia engine fuel pipe or fuel inlet part leaking
TMB replied to Kelly_Heroes's topic in Skoda Fabia Mk I (1999-2007)
It's a combined fuel & vacuum pump (tandem pump) for the brake servo and any other vacuum feeds. You can buy a seal kit for them. -

They don't seem to list that hose separately but give a part number for hose that you cut to length. Part number N10303504 -

I don't think anyone's going to know that. It's a specific part with moulded end fittings not just a piece of pipe. Part number 6Y0816311

What do you mean, Owen?

Thing is that sometimes noises on cars can be deceptive and what sounds like the rear can sometimes be the front.
-
Sometimes defective tyres can make a humming noise.
-
Are you sure it's coming from the rear? Only other thing I can think of is a dodgy tyre.

I'm really disappointed you didn't get the sweeping ones for extra chavtasticness! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203755405595?
