  1. Aww yeah I used to have the proper mesh window blinds for the rear ones but I sold them.
  2. Yes, I saw that too. Must be their scrapyard cat. Window came from a breakers yard in Norwich. Guess I could always get some tint film for the other windows 😀
  3. ^ Haha, bugger that for a lark 😄 I just realised in comparing the pics that they have swapped the window I ordered for a tinted one. The swines. This is the one I ordered and is obviously clear glass...
  4. Window arrived today. Only thing is that it's green tinted and the car only has clear windows. Didn't look tinted in the ebay pic and wasn't listed as tinted. Will drive my OCD mad 🤪 Oh well, at least I'll have the car back as I'm lost without it.
  5. I didn't think there was any difference in sizes, just differences in whether they are manually adjustable or electrically adjustable and heated, etc. https://skoda.7zap.com/en/cz/fabia/fab/2001-225/8/857-857040/
  6. When I first got my car, as well as checking the battery to body earth, I gave it an additional earth strap between engine and body just for good measure. You can see it here on the left-hand engine mount....
  7. I would suggest that the OP checks that his battery light comes on with the ignition (engine not started) too. If it doesn't it's a sign of the famous broken alternator wires.
  8. Haha, I was about to ask you how you fixed it. Good fix 👍
  9. Too strong for your own good 😁
  10. ^ Yes, definitely worth checking the earth lead to strut tower.
  11. How about the battery? If the battery is dying it can throw up spurious fault codes.
  12. It is strangely cheap but looks exactly the same as one I paid £40 for.
  13. The trouble is that if the regulators are old, you might repair the clips and then the cable might snap as commonly happens. It's often better to fit a whole new regulator. You can buy the whole panel with regulator already assembled. You just have to swap your door speaker to the new panel. Bargain here!..... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/224406469613?chn=ps&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1mA95nWYySK-ofsOiywOJOg43&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&itemid=224406469613&targetid=1394639519947&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=9046823&poi=&campaignid=14476166345&mkgroupid=124975630045&rlsatarget=pla-1394639519947&abcId=9300650&merchantid=119262068&gclid=Cj0KCQiA4b2MBhD2ARIsAIrcB-Q64xafnOcmLz7i9vT896qabt7GQhqGLJCcwYfoXE4hfjW7kly8WtIaAu8iEALw_wcB
  14. Damn, sorry about your windscreen Ryan 🙁 How did it happen?
  15. Thanks bud. I will have it sorted soon, hopefully
  16. ^ It's a pig of a job Ryan. Last thing I wanted to do was break the window but I was totally stuck and somewhat panicking as I suffer with bad anxiety to start with. The pain of it is that I had the same door apart not that long ago to fit a new regulator
  17. Made a better window cover so I can get the door open to work on getting the carrier off, etc.
  18. Nightmare this morning. Was 15 miles from home when I got out of the car to get something out of the boot and the car decided to lock itself with the keys in the ignition and the engine still running. I am in the RAC but my RAC card and phone were locked in the car so I had to smash the passenger side front window so I could drive home. Just as well it wasn't raining. When I say I had to smash the window, I mean I tried about ten times to break it but it was so tough that I couldn't smash it. Eventually, a young guy passing by used an ice skate blade to smash it, but it still took him 5 goes before it went. Spent three hours this afternoon cleaning glass out of the car. Had to take the seats out as the glass was absolutely everywhere. Have bought a used window from ebay. Seeing the interior covered in glass was quite upsetting as I always keep it spotless inside. When the window arrives I will have to clean all the glass that will be inside the door when I get the carrier off. Nothing has gone right for me lately.
