  1. I'm wondering if your stabilizer bar has 'walked' sideways due to the rubbish plastic collars on the earlier Fabias. Have a look to see if it's even on both sides. Later Fabias have welded metal collars on the bar to stop it moving sideways...
  2. No but you can buy GPS dash-mounted speedos on ebay.
  3. They don't have a distributor.
  4. These are symptoms of the very common door lock microswitch failure.
  5. ^ Might be worth a try if there's enough clearance to get them on.
  6. Looks like you might not have them. Mine are clearly visible on the outer side of the bushes....
  7. The part number for Mk1 front speakers is 6Y0 035 411 D The part number for Mk2 speakers is 1Z0 035 411 C According to this they are the same speakers.... https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/5l0035411j-bass-loudspeaker-skoda-14006.html
  8. Same, never had an inner one fail. Mine's a 2003 and it has fixed metal collars on the anti-roll bar, so maybe a year earlier might have them. Worth checking. The splines of the CV joint are usually bonded to the hub from the factory. If they have never been off you sometimes need a hub puller as Wino said. I used one of these from Machine Mart....
  9. The door cards, inner metal panels and regulators are different....
  10. These videos show how to get the door cards off... Front.... Rear....
  11. Check for broken wires inside the rubber door bellows as it's a common issue. If it's not that it could be the door lock unit inside the door. They can suffer with dry solder joints or microswitch failure.
  12. They must have changed it on the MK2 then.
  13. That hissing noise just before it dies makes me wonder if the exhaust is blocked. Worth checking. I once had that happen on a Vauxhall Astra. EDIT: Just noticed where you said it runs with the MAP sensor disconnected, so can't be the exhaust.
  14. Interestingly, what does work with the ignition off is the brake lights. This was even the case on the old rear-engined Skodas.
  15. Neither does mine. It's not meant to.
  16. Reversing lights are not part of the MOT.
  17. Difficult to diagnose something like this over the internet.
  18. Are they aftermarket reverse sensors? Could be wrong but I don't think factory ones were available on the Mk1 Fabia? Check if the reversing lights are working as the reversing light switch on the gearbox might have failed.
  19. Try a set of these, Tom ....
  20. I'm puzzled as to why they'd try and balance buckled wheels. Balancing them is a waste of time because they are toast.
  21. Are you sure those connectors are melted because it looks like someone has slapped some kind of black goo on them? I'd never expect to see those particular connectors melted.
