  1. Yes there are two timing belts if it is the 1.4 16v petrol engine. Here's a video...
  2. Useful and interesting thread.... https://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/473390-lockingunlocking-issues-and-probable-cause/
  3. Driver's side for reference.... ..... Brown Yellow/blue Green/yellow Brown/yellow Blue/yellow Purple/yellow
  4. Don't take these as Gospel as they may vary. ..... Brown Green/blue Blue/red Purple/white Blue/red *Blue/purple (think this one is possibly a misprint in the diagram as the wire colour shown doesn't match the stated colour codes. So could be Purple/yellow).
  5. This is the routing of the wires for the locking on passenger side...
  6. There are wires inside the rubber door bellows for the central locking. It's pretty close to the speaker so you might have disturbed a weak wire(s). I had one broken inside mine that made intermittent contact and made the doors lock/unlock randomly. Also, the door post connectors plugs/sockets can be temperamental if dirty/corroded.
  7. Feel bad that you've had no answers so far but personally I don't know
  8. Thanks for your helpful input Mr. Meldrew.
  9. There's no way you could do it by trying to fit a manual winder handle to the electric window regulator, and there is actually no spindle because it is part of the motor. The manual one is in a totally different place and you would need to swap the whole regulator, metal panel and door card for the manual ones. Manual... Electric (the indents in blue circles are redundant mounting points for the manual winder mechanism)....
  10. Polo 9n/9n3. SEAT Ibiza MkIV. Fabia MkII. All bolt straight in.
  11. Maybe one of them is sticking when the engine is cold. I dunno really. What he describes (running rough for about 5 mins when cold) is not normal for the MPI. Mine doesn't do that at all.
  12. Did you try anything with the injectors? Why not bung a used set from ebay on it and see if it sorts it? They can be had for not much money.
  13. The rears don't fit without significant modification.
  14. Yeah, clean any dust from this little grille....
  15. Ah cool I deleted it as I wasn't sure whether you would have removed the lock unit to do the window regulator.
  16. Another vote for Osram Night Breakers. I find them really good.
