  1. I got mine delivered from Euro Car Parts.
  2. Oh, I see. It was difficult to interpret exactly what they meant.
  3. Sounds like a nasty health condition
  4. I liked Maplin too
  5. Czechoslovakia hasn't existed since 1993.
  6. No probs. And welcome to the site
  7. You need to remove or pull back the passenger side front wheel arch liner. It has T25 Torx screws.
  8. The MK1 is now old and, like any old car, they need constant fettling to keep on top of issues. If they have been looked after they can be decent. Common issues that I can think of at the moment are... interior water leaks faulty central locking faulty electric windows broken suspension springs (common with a lot of modern cars). suspension console bushes power steering issues steering rack boots failing with age CV boots failing with age assorted electrical issues alternator wire breakage rust making an appearance
  9. There are two 1.4 models, the 16 valve and the 8 valve. The 8 valve, which I have, dates back to at least the 1960s and was used in the rear-engined Skodas. VW did some modifications to the engine such as hydraulic valve lifters and increasing the capacity. They are torquey but pretty slow overall. Having said that mine holds its own on the motorway quite well once you get used to it. I would advise to go for the 16 valve though.

  13. BLT is the code for later vRS engines. Earlier engines were ASZ. The code is on a sticker in the front of your service book and on a duplicate sticker under the boot carpet. Example...
  14. At least we got there in the end
  15. Damn, I said the wrong one didn't I It's 03G 906 051E
  16. I think it will do if you can't find any other sensor in the intake.
  17. 04C 906 051 03G 906 051E is the one you probably need if it's got the temp sensor built in. Yeah, am thinking that too.
  18. ^ The part number for that one comes up as 'boost intake pressure sensor'.
  19. It is not the clutch thrust bearing but usually the gearbox input shaft bearing. They can go on for many, many miles like that. The flywheel is not dual mass on a 1.2
  20. The last one just looks like a pipe connection.
  21. I don't know how that could be possible
