  1. I'm on my fifth Kodiaq and, yes, they do grumble a little when they've been left standing a while in the rain but they soon clear. Oh, and your car is a mk 1 not a mk 2.
  2. They don't 'alarm constantly' I turn them off. Everything else is as it should be. Other than that my car is totally, yes TOTALLY without fault. I can't feel aggrieved that others have problems when I don't. You must be a real joy at parties.
  3. Why? Mine has been fitted since about day 3 and no problems whatsoever. It's not fully coded but, as i've said before the fact the reverse sensors aren't isolated when towing matters not as I don't tend to reverse when towing and let's be honest, turning them off isn't exactly taxing. I've never heard so much tosh and so many wanting to hate on an upraded model of a car they actually own. I've had 4 mk1s and wouldn't go back for a gold pig.
  4. Mine has been fitted a few weeks back but the VAG coding hadn't been cracked at that point. Maybe it has now i'll have to call my fitter and check.
  5. Spare always used to be an option, then it was standard, now it appears to be an option again. A spare WILL fit but it will be a spacesaver not a full size spare. If they didn't give you the locking wheel key how would you or anyone else get the wheels off? Agree the open areas at the sides of the boot floor that are now open are a bit odd and the mk 1 lids were better. Had a Fabia with the velvet red and in the sunshine it really popped.
  6. Not sure of the button but yes, they are easy to turn off.
  7. It's not fully coded yet. They did inform me of this before they started. The only problem it causes is the reversing sensors are not isolated if reversing whilst towing. I try to avoid reversing whilst towing anyway.
  8. Sorry, can't help with your question but you're in the wrong section. This is for the mk 2 and yours will be a mk 1.
  9. Had mine about 5 weeks now and it's great. Had aftermarket towbar fitted and that's great too.
  10. I'm currently on Kodiaq number 5 a mk2. I've previously owned a 150tdi front wheel drive, a 150tdi 4 wheel drive, a 190tsi, a 200tdi and currently a 1.5tsi e-tec. I've never used paddles despite a few models (and a vRS Octavia) having them. The Kodiaq is a large, quite weighty SUV and behaves appropriately in that role. Paddles and 'sport' mode won't alter that fact. I believe Mr Clarkson made 'flappy paddles' fashionable but very very few drivers ever use them. A bit like self parking.
  11. Not really sure what you're asking as it's not exactly difficult or has many stages to access it.
  12. Mine, and it appears all early models, have predictive, adaptive cruise as standard. Mine had it listed on the order form as an extra but at zero cost.
  13. They're horrible. And they have the lovely plastic inserts too.
  14. My cam works fine plugged straight into the usb c port. It's a nextbase.
  15. All the early cars appear to have adaptive, predictive cruise as standard. At least my SE L has.
  16. Not sure if it's equally as ugly as it's electric only brother or even uglier.
  17. I have just colllected a 1.5tsi SE L Kodiaq and it WILL break the £40k barrier.
  18. It will probably be 'safe' but for £700 this 'trusted' fitter hasn't done you any favours and has apparently taken you for a ride. My bar was fitted by a reputable company with large premises that have been around for a number of years. Mine is fully coded to the car so no problems with any of the safety or other electrical systems.
  19. Firstly wrong section, this is for the all new Kodiaq. Why didn't your 'specialist' use dedicated electrics? I've just had a towbar fitted to my 24 reg and everything works just fine. Mine was £660 did you save much by using universal electrics? If not why were they used?
  20. I've just bought one of the last mk 1 Kodiaq a 200bhp SE L Exec and it is rated to tow 2000kg braked 750kg unbraked same as ever.
  21. What country are you in? UK dealers don't have any for test drives until the 20th June.
  22. I think you haven't got any replies as your question is a little vague. I'm on my 4th Kodiaq and don't really understand what you are asking.
