  1. I have it and run few scans, it's nothing fancy and i don't think you can do a lot of things with that. I will post some screenshots to help you but i think i would be better to go to a programmer after setting a new ECU.
  2. If the thermostat housing had problem the leak of coolant would be visible. It's very common problem to Felicia, you can replace the thermostat even by yourself, buy the gasket too to be safe because the old maybe will be damaged. If you buy a VIKA yes you may have a problem after a while but i don't see the problem to buy and install a Calorstat or a Valeo, all of us install after market parts. New coolant, volatilization and you are good to go.
  3. This i meant before (for the previous owner) but i didn't wanted to say it clearly as you did. I wouldn't buy an ECU which looks like this: because many programmers take the responsibility to find the proper ECU for you plus some guarantee so if something happens will replace it for free. If the driver buy a cheap ECU from internet for 40-50 euro and looks like the one above then the risk is huge.
  4. The label of VIn was gone in purspose from previous owner In Greece if you get caught with a car without VIN label you are in serious trouble. I can not guarantee a ''plug and play'' but from my experience a programmer can make it easily work even with the stock immobilizer. The problem is to find a second hand ECU in excellent condition and not a cheap one because those have corrosion problems and have been fixed sloppy and sold as a ''bargain'' on the net.
  5. You are the second owner? There is no sticker on the side of the valve cover? No VIN? Many plastic parts on their back side have the date/year pointed with an arrow and keep in mind that if you are the second owner maybe the first has changed the ECU for some reason (the car will work fine if the programmer is good) so don't expect from the ECU sticker to learn many things.
  6. Thank you for the infos ! What are the symptoms if a 136 Felicia has 0.25 all around lets say for 10.000 Km? There will be some consequences? ............................................... When a repair-shop has a good reputation on repairs, runs with Skoda cars in local races and has guys with 30+ years experience on Skoda cars their advice is valuable. These are the guys which suggest for example to change the Felicia radiator switch with another other ''one click lower'' to prevent overheating or gasket problems or have in mind thet the starter solenoid is frail etc.
  7. Some say 0.25mm intake / 0.20mm exhaust and other post for 0.20mm intake / 0.25mm exhaust Today i asked one one of the most famous Skoda repair-shop here and told me 0.25mm all around ! It's a mess.
  8. Here is another relative video. My first concern is the pressure of the fuel in my car if is good, after seeing those videos i feel reassured because i though i had a problem. Next i have the ''Gas pump" test to see if the fuel consumption is less than with those NGK on.
  9. But suddenly with those spark plugs i had fuel consumption problem plus i don't like so much the way they look. Trying to find if there is a problem with my fuel pressure valve if found this an a Czech forum, https://www.skoda-techweb.cz/forum/viewtopic.php?p=616313&sid=06d9a9fbec84d64e8d397cead42110d5#p616313 Here is the translation: Today I connected a new pressure gauge measuring the current value of the pressure between the hose and the bar with the regulator connected. When the key is turned, there is 3.1 bar almost immediately, after switching off the pump relay, the pressure drops to 2.9 bar. With the engine running and the vacuum disconnected, there is 3.1bar, after connecting the vacuum 2.5bar. So, in my opinion, the measurement confirmed that the pressure with the engine stopped is the same as the pressure with the engine running. Video from the measurement with the engine running here: https://vimeo.com/379263375
  10. Here is the way that those 2 filters work together https://www.drive2.ru/l/466698706599543771/ and these the results especially of the use the DGA 091091 https://www.drive2.ru/parts/vag/dga091001/B-FFwEAAvZM https://www.drive2.ru/parts/vag/dga091001/B-FFwEAAvZM and since for us (the A/C guys) the plastic cover is completely different and cannot be removed so easily i am trying very hard to think a way to filter better the incoming air except that cheap foam filter that i have.
  11. I use Platinum spark plugs for 20 years in my car and they never were in such a condition, i don't see the reason why the mechanic put Copper. My first concern is the pressure of the fuel, few days ago i read 2.5 bar in a product description, at Haynes i read also 2.5 and latter the gauge shown 2.7 bar. Which pressure is the proper one? IF the pressure is not right then no matter the spark plug the combustion wouldn't be good. Some guys say ''don't care about the Fuel Pressure Control Valve, if is damaged the car won't even start or will idle so bad that you will turn off the engine by yourself'' but i cannot rely on this.
  12. Yes, 3.1 was when the vacum tube was off With the plastic cover plus the tube from the filter removed (the throttle was ''naked'') shown 2.7 Is that 0,2 bar responsible for the increase of the fuel consumption? MAP,Lamda sensor, coolant sensor and air-filter are OK. As for the videos and charts with spark plus there are dozens at least for 2 decades, the issue here is to find WHY those spark plus are like this and IF those NGK Cooper plus are appropriate for an old design motor.
  13. Are you sure that must be 3 bar? I have tested yesterday with an analog gauge, 2 times the key on the 2nd scale to test the pump and then turn-on the engine the pressure was 2,7 bar and it was steady after i turned-off the car which means the injectors weren't overflowing.
  14. Those 2 spark plugs are not the same, NGK are Cooper and Champion are Platinum. I saw a increase in gasoline consumption and in cold starts the car was a little bit ''wild" as back in the old days when we forgot the manual choke valve open. I asked for a check on the Fuel Pressure Control Valve (OE Number: 047 133 035) and told me that the pressure was 2,7 bar and stable The Haynes manual says it's 2,5 bar and i wonder who's right?
  15. 16 or 17 years ago i learn about the Alex company,i saw a certificate in the wall of car repair shop (air condition-electrician) and the guy told me that since he was an official Skoda repairman he went among other Skoda mechanics after invitation in the Alex factory for seminars. He told me how the factory inside was,the working conditions,he met the owner,he saw his office etc and immediately start laughing when he remembered that the only thing that they offer to them all day was a coke and a cold sandwich ant they were staving. He said not only the Skoda but many other brands in Europe have Alex A/C units installed in their cars but the customer does not know it. Here is an example: https://www.car.gr/classifieds/cars/view/34934683-skoda-felicia Take a look at the 5-6th photo the 2 buttons in the panel for a/c and the filter on the 8th. The first owner (as i did) bought it like this.
  16. Alexis not a simple distributor,is the maker and it's from israel Not only for Skoda but for many European cars.
  17. Greece, 4T car magazine August 1998, comparison of Skoda Felicia GLX with Daewoo Lanos The car is new with Athens license plates. https://www.4troxoi.gr/4tlibrary/article.php?year=1998&month=8&issue=42&cat=Συγκριτικές δοκιμές&number=308 I translate from the text: However, both the Czechs and the Koreans did not avoid ergonomic errors, as well as in our two test cars the switches for power windows are lowered between the front seats...In addition to electric windows the two "low budget" models of our test, to use a test English term, they have the other electrical facilities, as well as air conditioning systems, for as long as the offers last...Assisted steering, however, is standard.....and in both the safety equipment (airbags, ABS) is charged extra (in Lanos it is available airbag for driver only). However, the light alloy wheels you had are also standard in Felica our test car. In Greece the GLXi edition had ABS and airbags, all the other were similar to GLX, the local dealer could turn a GLX to GLXi at any time (adding ABS and airbags) but the extra cost was too big. Unfortunately NO cabin filter except that lousy carbon foam.
  18. Yes, we have the same car. I don't know if it possible to insert something before the Evaporator till the air reaches the flaps. http://i.imgur.com/0U69hnj.jpg
  19. Here it is: Skoda Felicia Glx https://oil-stores.gr/cik/skoda-felicia-glx-τεμπελησ?page=23&limit=75 and https://www.americat.gr/skoda-felicia-glx-tempelis.html
  20. I bought my Trusty with A/C (i have 2 buttons in the panel with signs) and two front electrical windows installed, there was anther Edition with ABS-airbags but i didn't had the money at that time. Latter a mechanic informed me that this has been done by the local official Skoda dealer. I have the K 1048 foam and i made an extra metal screen as cover for the leaves, small flowers etc. Removing the foam there is a stenosis that's why i can put my hand inside or know what is deeper. Down in the plastic cover there is a square cap (where the arrow points) which can be removed easily,i don't know if it's for cleaning the tunnel and i don't know if i can make a patent there. First of all it's for healthy reasons.
  21. Are from my Felicia 1.3, i had them for about 5200 Km inside town only which means traffic, no hi-way or boulevard over 100km speed etc. 2 photos are with flash. Can you tell me your opinion about the combustion?
  22. He have the almost same and i haven't see any metal clips yet as in the previous photo, things are not so easy. You can remove the whole cover after you take out the strut brace but it's a lot of work. Here is an older photo of my Felicia engine. After all these years i can not compromise with the idea that we haven't a cabin filter and only a foam. There must be a way for a modification.
  23. I can not compromise with the idea that after few drops of rain i must breath air which passed from that foam That's why i am looking for something ''better'' if i can do the modification. I have a problem especially the Spring with pollen, dust from road etc and since i am not a young any more i am starting to have some difficult times with that ''simple" K 1048. I envy the other car owners with cabin filters.
