  1. Here is the way that those 2 filters work together https://www.drive2.ru/l/466698706599543771/ and these the results especially of the use the DGA 091091 https://www.drive2.ru/parts/vag/dga091001/B-FFwEAAvZM https://www.drive2.ru/parts/vag/dga091001/B-FFwEAAvZM and since for us (the A/C guys) the plastic cover is completely different and cannot be removed so easily i am trying very hard to think a way to filter better the incoming air except that cheap foam filter that i have.
  2. I use Platinum spark plugs for 20 years in my car and they never were in such a condition, i don't see the reason why the mechanic put Copper. My first concern is the pressure of the fuel, few days ago i read 2.5 bar in a product description, at Haynes i read also 2.5 and latter the gauge shown 2.7 bar. Which pressure is the proper one? IF the pressure is not right then no matter the spark plug the combustion wouldn't be good. Some guys say ''don't care about the Fuel Pressure Control Valve, if is damaged the car won't even start or will idle so bad that you will turn off the engine by yourself'' but i cannot rely on this.
  3. Yes, 3.1 was when the vacum tube was off With the plastic cover plus the tube from the filter removed (the throttle was ''naked'') shown 2.7 Is that 0,2 bar responsible for the increase of the fuel consumption? MAP,Lamda sensor, coolant sensor and air-filter are OK. As for the videos and charts with spark plus there are dozens at least for 2 decades, the issue here is to find WHY those spark plus are like this and IF those NGK Cooper plus are appropriate for an old design motor.
  4. Are you sure that must be 3 bar? I have tested yesterday with an analog gauge, 2 times the key on the 2nd scale to test the pump and then turn-on the engine the pressure was 2,7 bar and it was steady after i turned-off the car which means the injectors weren't overflowing.
  5. Those 2 spark plugs are not the same, NGK are Cooper and Champion are Platinum. I saw a increase in gasoline consumption and in cold starts the car was a little bit ''wild" as back in the old days when we forgot the manual choke valve open. I asked for a check on the Fuel Pressure Control Valve (OE Number: 047 133 035) and told me that the pressure was 2,7 bar and stable The Haynes manual says it's 2,5 bar and i wonder who's right?
  6. 16 or 17 years ago i learn about the Alex company,i saw a certificate in the wall of car repair shop (air condition-electrician) and the guy told me that since he was an official Skoda repairman he went among other Skoda mechanics after invitation in the Alex factory for seminars. He told me how the factory inside was,the working conditions,he met the owner,he saw his office etc and immediately start laughing when he remembered that the only thing that they offer to them all day was a coke and a cold sandwich ant they were staving. He said not only the Skoda but many other brands in Europe have Alex A/C units installed in their cars but the customer does not know it. Here is an example: https://www.car.gr/classifieds/cars/view/34934683-skoda-felicia Take a look at the 5-6th photo the 2 buttons in the panel for a/c and the filter on the 8th. The first owner (as i did) bought it like this.
  7. Alexis not a simple distributor,is the maker and it's from israel Not only for Skoda but for many European cars.
  8. Greece, 4T car magazine August 1998, comparison of Skoda Felicia GLX with Daewoo Lanos The car is new with Athens license plates. https://www.4troxoi.gr/4tlibrary/article.php?year=1998&month=8&issue=42&cat=Συγκριτικές δοκιμές&number=308 I translate from the text: However, both the Czechs and the Koreans did not avoid ergonomic errors, as well as in our two test cars the switches for power windows are lowered between the front seats...In addition to electric windows the two "low budget" models of our test, to use a test English term, they have the other electrical facilities, as well as air conditioning systems, for as long as the offers last...Assisted steering, however, is standard.....and in both the safety equipment (airbags, ABS) is charged extra (in Lanos it is available airbag for driver only). However, the light alloy wheels you had are also standard in Felica our test car. In Greece the GLXi edition had ABS and airbags, all the other were similar to GLX, the local dealer could turn a GLX to GLXi at any time (adding ABS and airbags) but the extra cost was too big. Unfortunately NO cabin filter except that lousy carbon foam.
  9. Yes, we have the same car. I don't know if it possible to insert something before the Evaporator till the air reaches the flaps. http://i.imgur.com/0U69hnj.jpg
  10. Here it is: Skoda Felicia Glx https://oil-stores.gr/cik/skoda-felicia-glx-τεμπελησ?page=23&limit=75 and https://www.americat.gr/skoda-felicia-glx-tempelis.html
  11. I bought my Trusty with A/C (i have 2 buttons in the panel with signs) and two front electrical windows installed, there was anther Edition with ABS-airbags but i didn't had the money at that time. Latter a mechanic informed me that this has been done by the local official Skoda dealer. I have the K 1048 foam and i made an extra metal screen as cover for the leaves, small flowers etc. Removing the foam there is a stenosis that's why i can put my hand inside or know what is deeper. Down in the plastic cover there is a square cap (where the arrow points) which can be removed easily,i don't know if it's for cleaning the tunnel and i don't know if i can make a patent there. First of all it's for healthy reasons.
  12. Are from my Felicia 1.3, i had them for about 5200 Km inside town only which means traffic, no hi-way or boulevard over 100km speed etc. 2 photos are with flash. Can you tell me your opinion about the combustion?
  13. He have the almost same and i haven't see any metal clips yet as in the previous photo, things are not so easy. You can remove the whole cover after you take out the strut brace but it's a lot of work. Here is an older photo of my Felicia engine. After all these years i can not compromise with the idea that we haven't a cabin filter and only a foam. There must be a way for a modification.
  14. I can not compromise with the idea that after few drops of rain i must breath air which passed from that foam That's why i am looking for something ''better'' if i can do the modification. I have a problem especially the Spring with pollen, dust from road etc and since i am not a young any more i am starting to have some difficult times with that ''simple" K 1048. I envy the other car owners with cabin filters.
  15. Yes, i have changed he factory bulb plus added extra Led light in my Felicia and that's the way to test them if they close properly (otherwise will drain my battery at night) Gently lay down the 5th door and when touches the latch you (barely) see the light turn off, then you are sure and push the door down firmly.
  16. The alternator cover is the first thing that you scratch if you lowered the suspension even for 3mm in bad roads. It was too low for the roads i was on at the time and one day i hit it in a puddle. My first visit to a workshop was for this and i paid 1000 drachmas for a new hole few mm higher, new screw and plastic housing. Alex here in Greece. I have seen the certification on the local Skoda mechanic which was beside the local Skoda dealer.
  17. As for the Bilstein Black we say here ''are for taxi drivers" because they are for normal use in city. Then Sachs with Kilen coils which are a little bit better. Better options are the Kayaba and Monroe with Apex or MAD coils. If you want some Sport you can go to Koni Orange and Yellow with Eibach coils but keep in mind that the Yellow are stiff.
  18. No problem, we answer in older topics because «Verba volant, scripta manent» and via google search anyone can get help in his problem. What spark plugs do you use now? Did you clean the MAP sensor with a specific spray for this task? Your wheel bearings are OK? Did the hoses from filter to throttle have a small gap? The throttle itself is cleaned with a specific spray for this task? The diagnostic test isn't an insurance that will find every problem.
  19. Has anyone used synthetic oil as Amsoil 10W-40 in his Felicia? I change mine every 7000 Km,in the beginning i was changing them at 5000 Km but my technician said ''that is too early".
  20. No LPG my friend My technician says ever 2 change of oils which means 7.500 x 2 = 15.000 Km, many times i have asked him to make it earlier but insists ''no need to".
  21. I already have the FILTRON K1048 installed but i don't thing is enough I would like to have a better filter like this: https://a.allegroimg.com/s1024/0c4aac/e19a649d445e87c9c5c94b17c484 It's the K 1100, i envy this guy: http://www.motofan.pl/tutorials/jak-zamontowac-filtr-kabinowy-w-skoda-felicia but i don't know if this modification can be done.
  22. My concern was the ''Every 12 months, regardless of mileage" that Haynes wrote so i asked here to see what other Felicia owners do.
  23. Yes i have but it's not look like the above photo here is my engine bay:
