  1. Not specialist either, but this is12V DC and red is usually positive (mains)?
  2. There is no need for bending . Matrix will exclude the front lighted object from it`s beam. Shortly said.
  3. If you have Matrix, it`s all automatic. Just wandering, if it`s as good as Audi has.
  4. My Superb 2 had bending lights, I don`t think it`s necessary anymore, as matrix lights are matrix. They do all he focus dimmering LED sections instead of mechanically moving the cluster section.
  5. Yeah. I`ve done it for 38 years, but times do change.
  6. Yes they do light up good as they do also also on mine. The problem I have is that the camera seems to be low end. When car having LEDs is followed by halogen car, the last guy usually gets dazzled by me as high beam assist does not think this is a car actually.
  7. Why I asked that first Seat LED lights were very poor whereas Audi Matrix were superb. So within one concortium the quality could be from bottom to top.
  8. Just for curiosity - are the Matrix headlights any good? I suppose they have updated the windshield camera? The High beam assist I have is total rubbish.
  9. Repeat, NTFS works just fine. USB stick is also ok. Just make sure you copy 3 extracted files (MIB I, MIB II and metadata) directly to root folder, not the folder, which contains these files. Old USB stick took about 40 minutes to complete update, new SSD stick does it under 30 mnutes.
  10. OP has 2018 model. At this time it was totally unavailable. It became available only at 2019 and only for RS. I believe it could be recoded with VCDS, but I don`t have instructions for it. If you have VCDS, start looking around in module 17 Instruments, I believe.
  11. I had a rear bumper damage on my Mondeo once. Went to paint shop, told them only make, model, year and "beige". They had all the databases in their computers, mixed exatly the matching paint. And that was 18 years ago already.
  12. Needs a bit of tin work as well, as far as i can see. Every decent paint shop will pick the right tone up. I have had some issues too, I usually use local dealer. Paintwork always matching the original.
  13. Why don`t you go to local dealer and get one of these? http://skoda-acc.com/Skoda, Touch-up, paint, pencil, RED, VELVET, F3P, K1K1, 000050300AF3P, 000050300A https://eshop.skoda-auto.cz/en_CZ/touch-up-paint-pencil-red-velvet-metallic/p/000050300A+F3P https://eshop.skoda-auto.cz/en_CZ/paint-spray-velvet-red-metallic/p/000050200A+F3P
  14. Suberb had rain sensor with 4 sensors and as soon as it got some water on the windshield, it automatically closed all windows. Kodiaq has only 2 sensors, for some safety reasons they do not provide autamatic window closing anymore.
  15. Never heard Croatia had a lack of internet till lately. Good post from Croat anyway.
  16. Only cars with automatic parking option has front side sensors.
  17. Samsung new models have no more Mirrorlink connectivity. Maybe Huawei too? I believe phone manufacturers will move off the Mirrorlink, as it`s pretty much pointless nowadays anyway. No true screen mirroring, so 20th century compared to Android Auto.
  18. Like I already explained in a post a year ago, Skoda is fiddleing with the systems all the time. For example: 2017 Superb 3 (and probably Kodiaq) adjustes the time itself when travelling accross the time zones. Even adjustes itself the headlights to RHD when travelling to UK. 2019 Kodiaq (and probably Superb too) does not do anything like that. All manual adjustments. Only clock gets right UTC signal from satellite. But no summertime, no automatic clock adjustment when travelling to another timezone.
  19. exFAT or even better NTFS.
  20. No, it will not draw power as it is just a slave device. No charging, no nothing. And even if it did, 5W consumption the USB is capable of, is nothing. Besides, USB sockets stay alive only for 10 - 15 minutes or so after turning ignition off. Only things that are alive all the time are the cigarette lighter sockets.
  21. Go to dealers and let them clear the fault codes. Standard procedure for the Kodiaq after fiddleing with battery.
  22. Maybe the petrol vRS is different, but diesel vRS hasn`t got any spare wheel. It has battery instead of in the middle of the boot just under the upper boot floor.
  23. @roottoot TBH I have no idea, but I suppose it`s according to manufacurer`s regulations. And haven`t heard about Haldex issues locally really, although we have more salt and snow and s.it on the roads. My old Superb 2 is done 430 000 km now (sold to friend) and I remember I only once changed the oil at 210 000 km. Kodiaq done now 200 000 km and Haldex oli changed at 120 000 km and that`s only because I ordered this service. No Haldex problems so far.
  24. At least for my 2019 model it`s 3 years without mileage limitation. Pretty sure they follow the official servicing list and so far no Haldex oil change unless I told them so. But good to know, will let them change more often from now on.
  25. The service interval for Haldex is 3 years. I do it in every 100 000 km just for a case.
