You only need a genuine Skoda card for the satnav if you have it. Any card will do for playing music and updates. How many sd card slots does the unit in the glovebox have?

It's not the easiest of systems to navigate your way around (excuse the pun) but you can just enter a postcode. There are threads on here with details on how to put in a postcode.

There are a few threads about the bonnet release. It's flexible enough to be pulled out sideways to clear the speaker and then pulled to open the bonnet.

We'll need to know what unit you have. Best thing is to take a picture of the screen showing the software version.

My garage is just wide enough for me to get in and out of the drivers door with the n/s almost touching the wall. If the emergency lock was on the passenger door I would have no access to the car. Why is the design bad for left hand drive cars?

I agree a re-boot may help if you've been having problems, but how would you just keep the radio only powered?

Looking on the positive side, if he put the wrong part in the car maybe he also put in the wrong oil bottle.

OP needs to post a pic of the p/no and software version then someone call tell him if it's MIB1 or MIB2

I'd start with the fuses. Also check that no wiring or connectors have been disturbed.

Do you get the doors open warning on the MFD? If you do, it would suggest the door switches are ok.

Is the problem with all doors? Does the rear roof light come on? Do they come on when unlocking?
