Bizarrely, my left foot repeatedly started going numb on a long drive from Surrey to Scotland and back. Maybe it was this offset mentioned earlier in the thread? Never had an issue for shorter journeys though.

Usually takes me a maximum of 2 minutes to enter a post code and get moving. Although the boot up time for the system itself is rather slow and frustrating!

It's a new 'long life' belt, in theory every 100,000 miles or so? Personally I'd do it sooner than that but think that's the official line.

If a 2007 Honda Civic can do it there's no reason a modern Skoda can't

For me the big seller was the new entertaintainment/sat nav system. So much better than the Mk2, which is still early 2000's technology (imo)

There's also no space behind the screen for a 'normal' ICE unit's depth, I believe. The Skoda 'unit' is in the glovebox, not behind the screen.

Not saying it's the same thing but my old Golf used to make a noise from that area - was a fuel line rattle!

Depend on the deals they are offering. What's the finance rate on HP? TBH cashback for PCP isn't ideal as you end up paying interest on the whole loan - unless you can beat the loan % with investments?

Well you may be right. I guess my point was there's nothing stopping you going to another dealer asking about that same 'stock' vehicle you were negotiating on with another dealer. Whether or not you get a good deal is another question. In my experience I agreed a price with the dealer before looking at whether there were stock vehicles available, so it would have made no difference. However, that's a sample size of 1 so don't read too much into it

Think 'stock' vehicles are available to all Skoda main dealers? The ones coming over on a boat but not yet assigned to a customer etc. Unless you are talking about a car actually on the forecourt of course, when you are stuck with that dealer!

Plus the fact that you can't buy Mk III wiper blades anywhere... very odd as car has been out more than a year now!

Well it's not a question of affordability really as I have already got a car. Just pointing out that there's not as much room for negotiating as there is with other manufacturers. For example Ford will easily offer you almost £6k off a new £23k Focus or Audi will take the same discount off a £25k A4 I don't see why you are being belligerent.
