272 Superb OPF stageIII
Roscio - How many miles did you cover between fitting the new downpipe and your stage 3 remap? Most adverts for downpipes say you must go to stage 2 when fitting an uprated downpipe, however on the golf r forum, a lot of owners on there said they haven't done a stage 2 tune. Some owners report the mil light coming on, but this doesn't change engine performance. It's been a good few weeks since I did any modding and i'm itching to get a downpipe on and worry about the next map some other time.

JB4 VS APR Stage 1 tune
I went for the low torque stage 1 apr map. It wasn't long before I wanted more. Eventually I did get the higher torque stage 1 for free, but you need to run higher octane fuel to get the benefit. If you go apr, and decide to go stage 2, if you buy the apr downpipe, the stage 2 map is free.

putting diesel in a tsi
Stupidly this morning I wasn't concentrating at the fuel station. I picked up the wrong vpower pump at the shell garage and put 20 quids worth of diesel in. I should have known something was wrong when refueling was slow. Naively I thought I had broken the filler neck when shoving the pipe in. I should have relooked at the vpower sticker on the pump. My paranoia over the evap canister got the better of me. I could have sworn I did relook at the pump. I obviously didn't see the diesel sign. What a tool. I paid for the fuel and drove four miles. I already had 80 miles worth of petrol in the car to start with. I went about my business and got back in the car about an hour later. It wouldn't start. I pushed the button to start it, and it started, then cut out, with a message on the dash saying 'please start the car manually'. I tried one more time, and it did the same again. I left it 5 minutes, went on google and I couldn't find the answer. So I had 2 more attempts, and then the penny dropped. I looked at the fuel receipt on the passenger seat. Clear as day - Shell vpower diesel. That reminds me - I need a swear box for the car. I called the AA and they sent out the Fuel Doctor. 2 hours I had to wait. He shoved a flexible metal tube down the fuel filler neck and siphoned off all the diesel. He disconnected the big pipe to the airbox, and he disconnected the fuel line to the hpfp and connected that to a tall plastic container/pump, so he could draw all the fuel out. Once all the diesel had been sucked from the fuel tank, he tipped some petrol in from a jerry can. He squirted some easy start in the air filter tube and then got in the car, pressing the start button a few times to prime the fuel pumps. I could see fuel being pushed out into the container. The fuel line was reconnected to the hpfp and he made 2 attempts to start the car. The first one immediately cut out, but the 2nd attempt ran for a few seconds before cutting out. I got in the car and tried to start it, whilst he was squirting easy start in the air filter pipe. Eventually it ran smoothly, after i'd upped the revs. The air filter pipework was put back together again, and the doctor sat in my car for a few minutes giving it some revs. There was a little black smoke coming out of the exhaust to start with, but this eventually went completely. 200 quid lighter, I got my car back and drove home without issue. I think I've been lucky. And that's what the doctor said too. I hope someone finds this info useful, because when I needed it, I couldn't find anything on the 'net relating to an idiot putting diesel in his petrol skoda. And it was all fixed with the simplest of tools. I feel like I've had my pants pulled down and been slapped.

The 280PS Thread
Has anyone got a dtuk pedal box attached to their remapped 272/280? Some of the parameters on my 'individual' mode are set to sport, some to normal. I would like a quicker pedal response time, but I don't want sports mode, and I thought a pedal box may be the way to go. Have you any thoughts on this please. Thanks

Superb Estate MKIII Rear Bumper Removal
The guide says its a 2 man job, and I vaguely remember helping my fitter with the bumper.... but I do remember that both the exhaust back boxes were removed from their hangers to help in this process. The hole that you cut in the bumper is on the underside, so it wont be visible from the top. Check and re-check all the wiring and screws before you refit the trim panels. Some of them are fatherless to refit.

Caravans / towing limits advice?
Yours is 300 brake isn't it now? Don't forget the 20 odd mpg when you're towing. That's very handy for travelling the world with a van isn't it! And as someone else has suggested - I wouldn't ever buy a new van - i'd buy one that's a year old and had the warranty work done. My mrs came out with a cracker the other day. She suggested we take our van to Turkey, if we can't get a holiday abroad this year. ffs I can't get my breath some days.

Superb 3 damper change with DCC
Op - why do you NEED to change them, if I may ask...…….. Is there a problem with them. Is it a mileage issue, or are they leaking?

- Inspection Reset
I managed to reset the oil inspection warning with this method, but it wouldn't do the spanner inspection now warning. To clear the spanner inspection now, I put the hazards on first, and repeated the whole exercise. I was asked 'clear inspection', and I pressed the little wheel on the right hand side of the steering wheel. I then turned the ignition off and back on again, and the warning has gone. Thanks for the link Gus755- What have you done to your Superb III today?
newbie - I see a cardboard box, but alas, no swear box. Where is it?- Inspection Reset
Does anyone have the answer on how to reset this display? I'm pulling my hair out trying to sort this ****er!- More changes to the sleeper..intake & rear
You need to look for the Urban Styling Pack 👍- Anyone had a remap 280 4x4 ?
I've come to the conclusion that when my apr stage 1 remap was done, they didn't unlock the 'limiters' Today I noticed on the sport information screen, that 206kw is the maximum it will show, even though the revs were still climbing in the same gear. 2.5 bar was the highest boost pressure seen.- More changes to the sleeper..intake & rear
I see you've gone for the 2020 look on the front foglights 👍 You're tempting me to get black paddle shifters, and I do like the rear black badges and glossy diffuser. I want one but with a cutout for my towbar. I've bought some black plasti dip to play with to do the badges and door handles and maybe some stripes somewhere. Keep up the good work DE - it's always interesting to see owners play around with things to get the results they want.- What have you done to your Superb III today?
so looking at thrupenny bits costs 65 quid - i'll remember not to look anymore if costs that much wheres me coat?- 272 Superb OPF stageIII
According to their description, that vibrant resonator is 5 inch deep. Considering the standard resonator has a concave in it to fit under the prop shaft, I think you're onto a loser Roscio - but I admire your ambition and determination to find a solution. 👍 - Inspection Reset
