@Lofty Cheers mate, I got the PDF file and I'll change it and get some printed up. Absolute star, thank you!

Skoda dealer or showroom plates - does anyone have any?
Yeah exactly like that. I'm looking for an Octavia VRS plate. If I can find a close up picture of one I can remake it on Photoshop as I have the fonts. I'll take a look at your project, thanks @Lofty!

FMIC kits for vRS
I have a THS setup. A very small amount of modification to the slam panel, I didn't want to hack it up as it's obviously quite important. Small cut here to allow the top pipe to sit in You'll see how it all sits here

FMIC kits for vRS
I believe it's due to the front slam panel as there're a few differences between the VRS and the MK4 Golf. A popular upgrade would be a Welly cooler, or a Forge. Personally, I went for a more stealth setup and used a twin pass intercooler. The means both the pipes are on the left hand side so when goes into the TB and the other joins up underneath where the original intercooler was. This was nothing can be seen from the bumper (no ugly pipes/joins).

A warning
I hate the one to be bumping an old topic but I thought it might be worth answering this. As per Adrian Flux insurance (read the small print/or ask an agent), your car WILL be covered if you state that your car is parked on your driveway (if that is what you declared at the time). You WILL NOT be covered however if you're at home between the hours of 10pm-6am and your car is parked outside on the street and not parked on the driveway. This would invalidate your insurance as it's a higher risk of parking your car on the street. You would need to sort out additional cover for this.

Exhaust system
Cherry Bomb? Jesh, do these things still exist? Was the rage back in the early 2000 with them being on the Saxo, 106’s and the Polo’s! Depending on what you want, I think a fair few of us on here have gone for a ‘slightly louder then oem’ sound. Milltek have been very popular and are one of the most quietest sounding exhaust system (even the non-res ones). I’ve personally got a Milltek Non-Res with a Milltek Sportscat and it gives a nice burble sound. The great thing about these systems is that they don’t hum or drone on the motorway. On my other VRS I have a piper system (it came with the car) I don’t personally like the look of it but it’s a nice sounding system from cat-back. Again, only slightly louder then stock.

Swapping Stereo Console
You shouldn’t have any issues replacing the stereo, most common single din radios come with there own ISO harness. In all my years of changing radio in my MK1 Octavia’s (and my MK3f Polo’s for that matter), I’ve never had to go out and buy any adaptors or harnesses. The only thing you have to do is swap the yellow and red wires around in order to keep radio settings. This video may help.

MK1 Octavia Estate TDI - Something different
Welcome aboard! I thought you may get pulled for the rear lights. Nice steady build, be good to see that front bumper sprayed too.

K&N or cone filter.
With modern software we don't need to use image tags or bbcodes. Simply pasting the direct URL of the photo will auto embed and display the picture. The link above doesn't appear to work so it hasn't embeded.

Why oh why did I sell my beautiful MK1.
I have the same estate in the same colour, but just a 1.9TDi L&K.

Windscreen Severely Misting Up Or Creating Film On The Inside Of The Windscreen
Condensation will build up in this kind of weather, and it happens on all cars. If you really want to fix it, try pulling up the carpet and check the sound deadening to see if it's wet. It will probably be worth checking that the grommet is there behind the pollen filter behind the scuttle panel. For now though, pressing auto on the climatronic will set to 22 degrees, this is the best temp in order to rid of condensation quickly. However, only having one middle vent (stupid design) takes a bloody age to do anything. But, you could always buy a Pingi Dehumidifier Car, it's like a small pillow and helps reduce moisture, that or cat litter too for a while.

**Door lock actuating with window switch
And as above again, don't just assume it's fine by looking at it. You'll need to inspect the wiring behind the tape. Also, check the pins on the motor and into the block connect and the block connectors in the A pillar and B pillar.

Rear washer pipe location under bonnet from the short hose connected to the pump
I went to do this for you but I have Xenons on mine so the washer bottle is 5L and I have the level sensors in the rear of the lights so I can't see anything. But from memory there should be one pipe leading to behind the scuttle panel and it splits off down the passenger side.

MK1 Door handle inside and out not working, can’t open door..
I took off the Bowden cable from the handle and pulled it to try to release the latch but nothing was happening. Very strange indeed. I even pushed from inside the door on the arm but that didn't work either.

MK1 Door handle inside and out not working, can’t open door..
Well I finally got it open, it appears the black plastic part that hold the handle at tension is quite worn so the plastic lugs came out of the groove. So I need a new inside handle part which I’ll source tomorrow. I’ll update this topic later and move it into my build thread and make a small repair guide. However it doesn’t explain why the inner handle wouldn’t work either as the arm was moving which pushed down the metal pin within the lock to release that latch. So I swapped the lock over and it does the same.

MK1 Door handle inside and out not working, can’t open door..
So the door handle decided to break today, also the inside door handle wire broke. Managed to get the door card off but I cannot open the door at all. I can pull the wire, door locks and unlock fine but pulling the wire or pushing the metal arm is not allowing the door latch to open. Any ideas how I can get the door open?
