  1. Coilpack would put it straight into limp mode and mode likely run on 3 cyclinders. For the year and Mileage, it really wouldn't hurt replacing it so you can rule it out.
  2. Sorry: 152417531957 We're talking about the cans which give that textured effect. Quite common to do the front grille (which is what I did) as it's easily removed.
  3. If there's no real damaged to it, get a pressure washer and spray off the rest of the Plastidip (could also use some WD40 to help it along). Then order a few cans and spray over the top once cleaned. Do around 3/5 coats leaving 30 mins to dry after each coat.
  4. Lift up the back seats and give a good thump on the housing and see if the sound changes when trying to start it up. If it does or it springs it back into life then you know it's on its way out. I did then when I was stuck in a car pack and it got my home haha.
  5. Only options I know are the FIS (MFD1) which was Β£1500 optional extra and comes with the Satnav. This mine: You can find virgin units or even order them from Skoda/TPS but they will cost a bomb. So the other options is to go aftermarket with something like the Color3DMFD. Full colour change. Prices start at around Β£250 and you’d need to send the clocks away to get them done or if you’re handy at soldering, there’re instructions to do it yourself. Needle sweep will depend on which type of cluster you have (version).
  6. Probably wrong here, but it's not oil starvation is it while going around the corner, which could mean the pickup is partially blocked?
  7. If it’s the original pump it’s possible that it’s in it’s way out and not uncommon. A spare can be had for Β£50 and easy enough to swap out. I would also check the whole assembly to while it out making everything is secure.
  8. I ignore these altogether now. It’s not hard to pick up a sub 100k for about Β£1200/Β£1400. It would have to be very special and in absolute mint condition to be asking good money. You’ve got this one and two estate near 3.5k at the moment and they won’t sell for that. A decent estate will go for 2k. There are few common people that are selling Fabia’s and Octavia’s for top money and making a song and dance about it. For now, it’s not quite there yet. Give it a few more years with the way that they’re getting broken every week.
  9. Hi Haylzz. I found this with others facing a similar problem - and
  10. Hello and welcome! Be sure to post your project in our projects area.
  11. They must love me with how much I use them. I’ve been to 3 different stores. Even a random one in Coventry once as I was passing buy to pick up parts. I hear stories of people not being served and then the communication from HO not to serve joe public. But even in lockdown I ring up say the part number, book a time slot and pay over the phone. Don’t know what I’d do if I lost them at trade prices! πŸ₯Ί
  12. All the best for the future!
  13. It’s such a hit and miss with them. Could you not try the local Skoda dealer and ask to speak to the parts dept? (Same thing really)
  14. I think the diverter valve is on revision 'P' now, but it doesn't matter. Quote the numbers above to TPS and they'll tell you what the least revisions are. Then come back and let us know!
  15. There’s load for sale, just have to be willing to travel. I traveled over 500 miles there and back to pick up my VRS.
  16. It seems @Evil is having the same issue... Not sure if he's fixed it yet.
  17. It just means the battery has been taken off, the code can be cleared.
  18. Good job on the carpet! I got mine dirty as soon as I got in it... I was so annoyed as I rested my foot on the foot rest and I had a bit of dirt on my boot. πŸ˜’ Car coming along nicely. πŸ‘Œ
  19. PlastiDip works well to for the DIY'er and can easily be removed!
  20. This isn't a feature to the MK1. This can be activated via an after market control unit (Alientech) or a KVW100 unit by ECS. However, these are quite old now and hard to purchase one. But I did find this link - https://www.ecstuning.com/b-ecs-parts/kvw100-window-roll-up-down-flash-load-module/kvw100/ There was a way to flash the VW convenience control module to control the windows via key fob remote around 10 years ago. Again, this CANNOT be activated by VCDS.
  21. Wow what a bump. You can now try eBay copies, or go to a scrap yard and take them out of any Octavia. Always worth taking as many as you can, so you’ve got spares.
  22. Makes a world of difference on the long journeys. πŸ˜πŸ‘ŒI think I said you could just buy a replacement leather on on eBay which would save on having to retrim a spare.
  23. I can’t remember, but I’d only buy genuine from TPS/Skoda if I’m honest. Never had an issue.
