Going to look at mk3 superb in red....
That car did not move in those 10 days according to the mileage so perhaps that was the time to arrange rectifying the faults

Resetting Service Interval Light. Yeti 1.2TSI
You a step short. If it like my Roomster you do 1. Ignition off 2.Press and hold (00) button 3. Keep pressed and turn ignition on 4. Press the button next to it which looks like stacked pages 5. Done. That resets the Service Interval. Putting on the hazards while doing the above resets the Inspection service. Note: That resets for a fixed service. Flexible or variable servicing needs a laptop

Middle Rear Headrest
I would like one on my Roomster but you have to order it when buying new at the showroom. I believe that if you feel the back and top of the seat through the material the fittings are there. I have not bothered but that third headrest should have been fitted at the factory as in 2013 it was only £65 to order one.

Lazy starter
The economy is good and yes the battery is the original. I usually get 8 to 10 years out a car battery but this one flings it over with no trouble. Oil change was 3 months ago. I live in the tropical south-east so battery has easy life.

Lazy starter
Slightly slower as the cold engine has more resistance. It has done it since I drove it out of the showroom 8 years ago. It takes about 2 revolutions before firing
-
Lazy starter
What has been a slight irritant with the 1.2tsi is the number of revolutions it takes to fire up when cold. My previous Fiat fired to life virtually instantly and so does my son's Fiesta but the Skoda has to awaken rather like my wife's Corsa B. I guess it in the design as it has not changed since new.

Roomster overwhelmed by choice
I have the original brochure and the 1.2 12V is a 3-pot engine with 4 valves per cylinder delivering 69PS and is the least powerful of the range and is a VED band higher (F). It is not a tsi as it lacks a turbo so is slow. The TSI engines are 8V 4-pots delivering 86 or 105PS. Hope this helps.

Build Times for new Karoq
I see you are also based in Herts. Is Marshalls your local dealer?

Build Times for new Karoq
The whole thing is a test of patience. Are current prices honoured?

Hifi of Yesteryear vs Today's effort!
I have gone backwards. Late 70s I had a Goodmans 110 amp (as I worked for Thorns so got good deal on a refurb) Wharfedale Teesdale SP2 speakers and BSR Quanta 700 turntable. Changed the Goodmans amp for Technics SUV-450 class AAA and found the difference amazing. Bought a Technics SLP-222 CD player and loved my set up. From then on a retrograded by changing the speakers for smaller JPW AP2s and the amp to a Cyrus One. Went to Best Buys as it was shutting down and bought KEF iq10s at a knock down price as the sealed box design of the JPWs lost dynamics and sounded trebly powered by the Cyrus. I then stuffed the separates in the loft and bought a JVC midi-system. Nowadays I have an Onkyo a-9010 with Onkyo C-N7050 streamer come CD player. I need bigger speakers to get more bass but stuck on what to buy as replacements.

Replacement Windscreen
Loose chippings.!! Really annoy me when these flying missiles do so much damage to glass and paintwork. It is a waste of time when a few months later the road surface reverts back to the original condition leaving motorists with the ensuing inconvenience and expense.

new E10 Fuel and Economy
I am finding no difference in my Roomster, certainly no worse. I have put it down to having the detuned 1.2 tsi giving only 86bhp but it seems not.

Superb MK3 - Ticking/Window popping sound while driving
Have you lubricated the door hinges and stay? I know rather random, but I had this with a Nissan Micra. I lubricated the hinges and door stay and the ticking stopped. Worth a try.

Brake pad thickness
My 8 year old Roomster with 43k on the clock is on original front and rear pads. The front have 3mm left and need changing in a month or two.

Noise at start up
Sounds like mine 1.2tsi. Mine has been doing it since new and nothing untoward has happened over the last 8 years. The engine does have hydraulic tappets which requires oil pressure to quiet them and the chain which bigjohn details

Strange noise in engine bay
Sounds to me like my 1.2tsi Roomster. I have had the noise since new, a 'slurping' noise from the expansion bottle.

Servicing schedules too rigid
Prices have risen yet again. Plugs are £105 and filters risen too. I wonder how will they keep profit margins with electric vehicles?
-
Servicing schedules too rigid
Can't help feeling that the services are too rigid in their application. Yes, a rep driving 20k or miles per year, the interim and major services pan out well for him or her. But at the other end of the scale is my sister-in-law who only drives 2k per year and every other service she has plugs replaced with all the filters when those components can last so much longer saving her the expense of really exchanging new for almost new. All it takes is for the mileage to be compared and any technician with the servicing e-book will do and charge accordingly the necessary work. It will bring back the trust and perhaps the feeling of honesty among customers who have ditched the main dealers for independents, or perhaps who do it themselves.

VAG Parts shortage becoming acute Aug21
My sons 15 reg Ford Fiesta has been laid up 2 months so far awaiting for ABS module and pumps. Worldwide problem with parts no doubt made in China

Skoda Kamiq footrest
I thought that but my sons Ford Puma has metal pedals and my shoes gripped the metal surfaces ok. Rubbers can be made polished and smooth by use and then the hassle of replacing pedal rubbers

Manual Air Conditioning
My sister in her Ford Focus had her aircon on constantly but I use mine when I wanted it. She had hers topped up and serviced before me.

Karoq Oil
My Roomster sump was overfilled by an independent garage. A pal had a Sealy extraction pump and he sucked up half a litre so the level is correct. I bought a Sealy extraction pump for £54 from a motor factors as I am doing oil changes myself.

There is a section dedicated to dealers called Skoda Dealer Reviews on the Forum list. Look at that. May include non-franchised reviews and independent reviews

First Skoda in Cornwall
Just returned from Cornwall after been traumatised by the single track roads which traverse the county. Often been brushed by the untrimmed verges or having to reverse because of a dot.com van coming other way. To hell, we enjoyed Cornwall and I hope you do in your pocket rocket but stick on the A roads!!

Thinking of buying a 2014 Roomster Scout
Yes, I have a 2013 SE and it is in showroom condition because I have cared for it. It looks new and drives like new. There must be examples like mine out there.
