  1. We took the SIII abroad recently and as usual with my old car I just used tourist mode. I also have LED headlights with dynamic light assist which is brilliant. I have HBA too but this seems a bit more aggressive. The manual describes that enabled tourist mode automatically disables dynamic light assist. The DLA is described that it sweeps the light cone around oncoming traffic and always ensures that the sides of the road is lit. Is there a point of still using tourist mode when DLA automatically darkens areas where oncoming traffic is detected, so effectively never really blinds other drivers.
  2. HI, Have a read through here - I put plenty of pictures on.
  3. Thank you for the link. It did not work. Neither with the registration, nor with the VIN. Maybe a just over 1 year old car is not on the database.
  4. On the same note, is there ANY generally utilized location to find the colour paint code?
  5. Hello, I am looking for the sticker I had on previous Skodas that contain most of the PR codes, engine code, colour code..... and more. I have just emptied the boot gone round the car with a torch .... and cannot find this sticker. Where would this be applied in a SIII these days?
  6. My daughter's FII had this problem, but in the passenger lock. Use the search. It was a small circuit board which I temporarily fixed - for 1 year. Then put a new lock in. But also check for broken wires by wriggling the loom in the door space.
  7. My superb is now on sale by a dealer in Durham for ................ ..................... Yes ................ £10495
  8. I do not have a mobile phone. I have installed the skoda connect on a android device but cannot really find anything exiting in the program.
  9. I have been reading across different forums and it seems that some experienced coders seem to favour the VCP lead over VCDS particularly for the MIB3 car - which mine sadly is. Are there any VCP coders on here who have used the VCP on MIB3?
  10. I don't think I was aware of this. Never had any issues with indicators though.
  11. Added a picture with the engine running. No warning lights. Thanks for the comments. Also thanks for the PM. The recall warning - if you do a DVLA search on my car - is re. the software upgrade following the diesel gate. I did not do the software upgrade because of reports of increased EGR failures and a more sluggish engine. Also Euro5 did not bother us really because we live far away from any congestion zone. I bought probably one of the last few SIII estates at the wrong time a month ago - just before the Skoda website site changed to have the configuration live for the new SIV. If I had seen this, I would have not bought one and kept the SII to then go and order a new Superb IV estate L&K 4x4 TDI. I have been living in the hope to find a SIII estate TDI 4x4.... since 2020 when Skoda decided to stop selling it in the UK. Never mind, maybe my new SIII may be up for sale soon.
  12. Do I need to be so suspicous of the dealerships these days? Does the sat nav need it for traffic updates?
  13. On our "new" 2023 S3 the Skoda Connect subscription has expired. I guess it came with the car. Can anyone tell me if a Skoda Connect subscription is a useful thing to have and probably pay for?
  14. I am selling a set of 4 original Skoda Propus Aero 18in alloys removed from our 2023 Superb with Continental EcoContact 6 tyres as I am fitting my own 19in alloys. The wheels are in pristine condition with NO scratches or scrapes. The tyres are 235/45-R18 W and have covered 9000 miles. For tread see the pictures. They are a DOT 1522. The alloys are 8Jx18 ET 44. Price: £650. Collection is from LE18, Wigston/Leics.
  15. I was reading a little on Ross-Tech. My SIII is using MIB3. Apparently MIB3 uses a FOD system rather than FEC/SWaP. Is VCDS-Hex2 able to code with this any more? Is OBDeleven a better and more cost effective opton?

The tyres have plenty of tread. The car comes with 2 original keys and the V5C in my name. There is no finance on the car. It has never been involved in any accidents. The car has been garaged all the time I owned it. The Superb is a very comfortable car. It has covered most of the mileage on long distance holiday motorway trips. It has a vast boot and plenty of leg room for passengers. The Superb has never left us stranded. It is also very capable in snow. The car can be viewed in Wigston / Leicestershire.
  17. Can you tell me what parts you needed and the part numbers please. Does it need coding? What year is your Superb? I do not want to get a whole new mirror casing. When did Skoda drop the autodimming on the left?
  18. I have just clicked through the configuration. When did that appear online????? This is making me quite angry as I have just bought a SIII estate L&K - of course only FWD - as dealers kept telling me that the new Superb for 2024 will most likely only be a) petrol b) FWD and definitely NO AWD.
  19. Good evening I have eventually changed to a Superb III from 2023 from a SII. I have looked at SIII before but have not noticed some things I seem to finding out after buying it. The SIII does not have an autodimming passenger mirror. The old SII had..... I found out while driving in the dark and constantly being blinded. Can the passenger autodimming mirror be retrofitted? For information I have memory mirrors, courtesy lights, side assist and area view. Skoda has dropped the torch in the boot. Really miss this. The side pockets in the boot have shrunk and the simply clever ideas do not seem so clever. Skoda have dropped the glasses holder in the roof lining. The wallet flap below the light switch is smaller and too small for my standard wallet. Or my wallet has grown. While the new entertainment is more modern, I cannot save routes / tours anymore and I do not get TMC / traffic information. Does the Head unit have a HDD still? Can I still copy MP3s onto the car? The DVD and SD access in the glove box is blanked off. Can the rear screen washer jet in the top brake light be adjusted? Mine seems to dribbling rather than spraying? Thanks
  20. Hi, Pete pointed me to the relays after I had removed and tested the wiper motor and got stuck for options. I got a second hand one.
  21. Hi, We had the windscreen wiper fault. I tried soldering first and then changed the BCM. You will not find a fault code on read out for this as it is a relays fault
  22. I have changed one side and never had a leak on the other side. The pressure in the system does not change just because it now "more" contained. There is nothing to amplify thee pressure. The second leak would have been bad luck.
