I have got units back in the display. It was due to "menu_display_central_unit_master" not being activated. Thinking back I did not deactivate it but I did have a mishap last year in 5F when I hit the reset button. Some functions normalized after ignition off, but others did not. Hi Gabbo, I cannot get the car to display Km/h or change to l/100km for consumption in continental Europe. When I look at the, I think, adaptations in STG 17 adaptation map, I see all the units displayed and I could change them over with VCP or ODIS, BUT not through the centre display. I cannot see any setting in the adaptations where it allows for "BAP" setting or anything else to set personalisation. I will connect ODIS and play around. I just did not have the time. I am wondering whether a Skoda update has deleted the display in the centre.....

My daughter got back to me eventually. She just swapped the head light fuses and all is working again...... Really just poor contact in the fuse sockets?

I have not changed anything intentionally. I do not know which controller this comes under either. I have also changed to German language but no change.

I do not have "Units" as a subcategory. I had a look through my adaptation maps of STG 09, 17 and 5F as I thought these might be relevant for the Units. I can see a section inthe dashboard that describes all the customer set ones, but no sectio that make "Units" appear in the settings section.

I don't know about the indicator. Side light, low and high beam are not working. I did not think to ask about the indicator.

Hi, My daughter has just told me that all lights on her FII from 2009 are not working onthe left. I do not have access to the car right now, but guessed and googled that it could be a fuse problem. Am I right or is it a long shot to tell her to check fuse 56 or 57?

Hi, I hope someone can help me. We have gone into continental Europe and I wanted to change the units from miles and MPG to kilometers and L/Km. I am sure I have done this once before because we did take the SIII abroad. I cannot not remember but there is no clue in any of the menue buttons in the headunit. I have looked in car and setup, but no unit settings. I only hope I have not coded this out by mistake, but have never intentally changed anything around unts.

Check for any leaks. Hire an ozon humidifier to fog the inside of the car.

Are your electrics still playing up? Did you have a bad battery? All these functions are on different fuses and in different controllers.

My daughter's Fabia had the same problem. There was a broken wire in the door loom at one point, which I soldered in the loom. I added an extra piece of cable in. But the fault came back. Only this time it was a microswitch inside the door lock. I started a thread on this and you will find pictures. Eventually I bought a new door lock.

This is one way of changing CH / LH. You can choose different light combinations. Start / Stop can be turned off on very old models but not on the newer ones.

I noticed that an activation for TSR is available in the Skoda shop for 2022 Octavias. Other models have not been listed. Does anyone know if the A5 camera and other components are different on the Octavia compared to other Skodas of this age? I am still interested in the TSR activation for our SIII from 2023.

I have used engine off for about 40 years. At first in the 80ies and 90ies when engines were really using fuel and I was a student, it was to save money. It worked. No engine, battery, ignition or other issues ever. I usually kept cars for quite a while. I have done this on european - Volvo, Opel / Vauxhall - and japanese cars and when start / stop was introduces I often thought that engines could switch off when the ECU prevented them from doing so. On my last Superb - SII - the battery went after ten years. I never had a problem of not getting off the spot or not being in control ever - how can you not be in control? You have so many controllers on your car that control everything from steering to braking, so effectively on a modern car YOU are really not in control ever..... @Meridion, engine manufacturers have long gone away from the concept of running in new engines and with some diesel engines it can take forever for the engine to be at working temperature. You will have more wear if you stick to mega long oil change intervals.

So sad, I just had a look in my steering wheel if I can fit the KLR Evo. There is no KLR module at all. Mind you I do not have TA in the steering wheel. So I guess they would not have put a dummy holder in there or can the KLR module holder be retrofitted?

OOOOH, Subtle is different... Is this the SEL steering wheel or will that be the one now? I am sure they could have got the lettering even bigger. Software is definitely an improvement.
