Panaromic sunroof?
The opening panoramic sunroofs can be troublesome with seals The motors might need occasional oil-grease as well to run well. The fixed bonded type (that was fitted to cars like roomster) are just like the windscreen, very unlikely to leak The sunshades (blinds) do block out lot of the heat, but really glass roof is better for countries where it is not as hot, or daylight is restricted in winter months as they do make car light and airy when blinds are open.

If not Touranzas, then what?
If you live in Suffolk, you won’t get as much cold rain. It is very easy to spin the front wheels if you leave these summer tyres on in the winter, they are very poor in the rain below about +7c and grip is very poor the colder it gets as tyres go very hard.

Betria 21" Alloys - Kerbed
That’s the risk with large wheels and low tyres. Unfortunate I don’t want to sound negative but if you choose to park where you have high risk of hitting kerbs, might be better to buy smaller wheels to avoid further damage If you choose to go down alternative wheels route, here is link to catalogue https://www.skoda.co.uk/_doc/639a0118-4da5-446b-a786-86e1f789b57b

Unable to choose service partner in app
Does your dealer have a collection service, why not play along and book it in if they will collect and then give them your new address miles away. Then point out you told them months ago you had moved.

Delivery times?
“pencilled” as a delivery date means nothing All it means is someone probably put 12 months in the estimated delivery date field, because at the time they had nothing more accurate to enter. What you need to do is ask (ring up, don’t email, as answering email is patchy) your dealer (or pop in if close by) to send you a screen print of your current order status on Skoda system. Don’t let them just give a date over the phone because lazy staff will just make up a date. (It isn’t instant to login in, look up your order number, and retrieve the data). The status system doesn’t notify dealers of changes, at the early stages, so unless they go and look they won’t know if it has changed since last time they queried it. Therefore a quick answer where they last pencilled it in might bot be current.

Skoda Karoq - tailgate mystery
Do you have powered tailgate, and the virtual pedal. Even if you have manual tailgate and kessy, you can approach it and tailgate will unlock so you can put shopping in. My guess is you inadvertently opened the tailgate, then started the car, and tailgate gradually went up. From memory if you have a reversing camera that image displays, so will stop the image with doors etc displaying. Have you tried to replicate it with unlocking and opening slightly before starting and putting into reverse

What do I replace my Skodiaq with
I am trying to decipher the Ops list of requirements which seem to be spaces for dog crates, but rear seats not important. Sounds to me more like a boxy vehicle, or a van. However with current difficulties of getting a replacement vehicle delivered promptly (or in some cases within about 15 months), I would seriously contact your finance company / lease co and ask for price of a years extension or even buying outright (if you like it). And if don’t like it, why did you choose it. If you want something similar why not look at VW Tiguan allspace, or Seat Tarraco

Considering buying a 2018 4x4 Karoq, are there issues I should know about?
At 40k check the Haldex has new fluid, and the filter cleaned (sometimes they don’t touch clogged up filters). Ensure both done if buying Check the tyres, if previous owner has swapped them (and 4x4 versions require them swapped around as per handbook), could all be original summer tyres (check date codes, a 4 digit number, 2 digits week 1-52, second 2 year). If it has mixed tyre types the Haldex will have had harder time. The Karoq really needs all season (or winter) tyres in cold weather, if summers used during cold there is likely to be lots of surface cracking Wheels : UK spec comes with large wheels, great in a showroom, useless for good ride on poor tarmac, and prone to damage on potholes. The tyres for these are often weird sizes which means limited choice and expensive tyres. Consider changing to smaller wheels (link has full range) https://www.skoda.co.uk/_doc/639a0118-4da5-446b-a786-86e1f789b57b Then check everything works, put it in neutral with someone standing behind watching the exhaust, and blip throttle. If engine accelerates slowly or smoke comes out of exhaust then you might have clogged exhaust filters (virtually impossible to fully clean without removing from car, as a DFP regen won’t fully clear out existing ash)

Window washers not working
Can you operate the tailgate wiper (pushing the stalk away), if not does it work when wipers are switched on, and then select reverse gear. The wiper stalk operates in two directions (up/down & to/from driver) and trying to isolate if stalk contacts have failed in one direction (even if still working in other switch unit) If so, then new stalk required

Delivery times?
Baffled by your statement lots of Enyaq waiting for buyers Skoda UK website showing 837 new cars available, zero of which are Enyaq. And used car page showing just 22 Enyaq for sale (under 3k miles) I suspect they don’t have enough cars available to play with sales to get average CO2 down at current time.

Delivery times?
In UK now have July car sales figures Skoda sold 4157 cars (July 2021 was 5196) down 20% on year before Year to date (Jan-July) 7 months Skoda 26,962 cars (2021 : 38,102) down 29.24% I don’t subscribe to SMMT data so can’t check pre-covid 2019 figures , however whole year was 75,200 (per Skoda storyboard on second link) so 7 months would be 43,866 which suggests there are at about 62% of pre covid sales in UK https://www.smmt.co.uk/vehicle-data/car-registrations/ https://www.skoda-storyboard.com/en/press-releases/skoda-delivers-1-24-million-vehicles-in-2019/

Delivery times?
Sorry to be bearer of bad news, but it looks like Octavia ordered now will be Q3 in 2023, so allowing for Transport time to UK should expect 12-15 months https://www.marnet-mobility.de/aktuelle-lieferzeiten.html

Maybe in the market for a 4x4 estate – but are there any pitfalls?
Basically have extra cost of Haldex servicing and extra fuel (due to extra weight). You also need to swap the tyres around (can’t take the just wear out 2 and never move them approach). Having said the above, do get better traction, useful if you live in the mountains, but there is a question about if it is much improvement over having dedicated summer and winter tyres. When new the 4x4 system costs a premium of (roughly) £2000, but for much less can by set of winter wheels and tyres. I never really understand why so many in UK buy the 4x4 version, then leave it on summer tyres all year. If there are more available unsold secondhand it suggests people subsequently realise they bought something they choose not to keep. If there are lots available you have to think, why are they still unsold, whereas the 2wd have already sold.

fuel consumption
As it has a virtually identical engine to my 1.0 tsi DSG in my Arona, I suspect most people will be getting about 8% better mileage (open road) to 14% (urban) by using E5 premium unleaded (97-99ron) instead of normal E10 95ron unleaded Where I live premium is 8-12p more per litre, which is about 5-8% extra price, so using premium is a no brainer (pay about 6% extra, gain about 11%)

At what tread depth do you change tyres?
Why not swap them front-back Unlikely to slide the back out with 3.7mm of tread Might get another year out of all 4 that way If you want to buy all seasons, I would suggest October is bit late to order them as prices always jump in Autumn. Try and order by mid September (even if don’t get them fitted for 1-2 months)

Tailgate camera not working
As long as you have notified all the faults then they can be fixed after warranty expiry date. However I would ensure the list is booked in for repair (booking made, even if workshop date is later) before expiry, otherwise not going to be able to confirm fault existed at date of expiry.

Skoda All-in-one Heads-Up - price reduction
Even with 20% off the Skoda price is £29 meanwhile Seat UK is discounting virtually identical all in one plan to £26.39 per month, (or roughly £60 cheaper over 24 months)

Plastic on wheels !?
There is now a much bigger choice of alloys for the Karoq if you don’t like the default ones https://www.skoda.co.uk/_doc/639a0118-4da5-446b-a786-86e1f789b57b
