  1. @meeks78 Chip or remap. From time to time give it some beans Install Fuelio app - or something similar - to record fuel and other expenses. Install DPF VAG (free) app to monitor regens - higher idle revs, fan running, smell of burn rubber at the back of the car.
  2. @JezHarper Why don't you buy and keep space saver in your car - and additionally full size in the caravan? Yes, twice the cost but space saver will leave you some extra space. I don't have foam insert and nothing moves around
  3. @Big Lee I hope you are aware that you'll have to inform your insurance company? Looks good but don't think it will be smooth ride
  4. @JOHN-DYNOSTAR Cheapest way to check engine code would be to use VAG DPF (free) Android app - will also help you to monitor regens. You should also check if and when it was fixed - dieselgate updated software - so there will be extra 2 years of warranty for engine / exhaust parts - EGR is prone to fail after the fix.
  5. @Danny 57 I hopy they've fixed it for free?
  6. Why can't you do it the right way - drain at the bottom?!?!
  7. @kunalvaidya It can be built-in into your radio unit - to be sure you need full scan using VCDS, VCP, ODIS or something else.
  8. @Badgersurfer The next step for you is to remap or chip it you'll feel BIG difference Was your car fixed - dieselgate?
  9. Shouldn't new injectors be coded? https://forums.ross-tech.com/showthread.php?3396-Coding-injectors-CAYC-engine-1-6TDi
  10. @superbdreams You can say "OK Google" then "send text message" - you'll be asked to whom - then dictate content, and confirm - 100% voice only no clicking / pressing any buttons If you have Spotify - you can say "play Robert Miles Dreamland on Spotify" then you'll have to say "yes" to confirm
  11. Try Waze instead much better than Google Maps.
  12. You should buy OBD II Bluetooth dongle and install VAG DPF app - it will let you monitor regens. RPMs can be a bit higher right now due to cold weather.
  13. Install VAG DPF app - as long as you have ODB II Bluetooth dongle.
  14. You can install VAG DPF app - it let you monitor progress and predict when to expect next one.
  15. @spartaans As long as size is approved by the manufacturer - there won't be a problem, but call to the insurer should be made - just in case so they won't try to invalidate your insurance.
  16. Search forum - was discussed many times.
  17. @J.R. "@" is just a special character that tells this website to send you a message that there is something related to you.
  18. Instead "to tuningmania" you should write @tuningmania - this will tag recipient properly.
  19. Thank you, but I've queried again today with the mechanic and he checked his "Alldata" software - Auto Parts (?) - and he gets 4 years :( Do you have a link to some official confirmation? Edit: OK I've just called local Skoda Dealer and they've confirmed that it is 5 years
  20. If you have DSG then there is 2nd thermostat - for the gearbox - search forum for more info.
  21. I think you have 3 options: 1) leak into coolant, 2) goes into tailpipe, 3) leaking outside of the engine.
