  1. As above, looks like the manual diesel is gone, but there should be a manual TSI
  2. Your dealer should be able to give you some info, from the info it looked like the TDI wouldnt be available to order until december. Orders for the vrs have been closed for some time so it may be a stock vehicle you’ve ordered which will mean very quick delivery.
  3. Interesting read, nice to know the VAQ diff will be standard on the TSI, but the single exhaust is a strange one.
  4. There will still be some in the dealer network, but finding one, and finding one that's right for you are different things. If you want specific options or colour you may get lucky, or you may need a factory order. For example my local dealer had a Quartz Grey manual TDI VRS in the showroom couple of weeks ago.
  5. Well said Pittsy From what I've been able to google Opti-Coat Pro + is ceramic coating, so it's a fairly common product these days. It needs to be cured or you will get the water spot issues. Definitely walk away if they think they can do it within a day. Have a look at at detailers offering similar products such as Gtechnic or Gyeon.
  6. I don't think the Black design package being standard has been mentioned before...
  7. 15k seems a lot for an engine replacement (750 / 5) * 100 = 15,000
  8. Am I reading this right? After the 95% contribution your still paying £750?
  9. I'm not sure Rybu, sorry... But I went into my local dealers and managed to order one from there. I didn't need the part number in the end, they put my reg in and found it on the parts locator, £23 and I can collect on Thursday so happy with that
  10. The petrol has been saying "available from stock only" for months, and the diesel went that way about a month ago. As others have said the MY19 changes are coming very soon. What they are and when remains to be seen, but either hang on or get your dealer to see what stock is available, my local dealer for example has a Quartz Grey manual in the showroom.
  11. I’ve managed to wear a hole in the drivers side original VRS floor mat. I’m sure I read the mats have individual part numbers, so can someone check for me please? It’s the drivers side with Silver trim please. I would check myself, but I removed the labels because they were occasionally visible when input the mats in :( Thanks in advance
  12. The Petrol VRS has only been available from stock since February, and the Diesel went the same way a month or so ago - there is a model year change coming up so it's probably due to that. There is a fairly big change to the engines coming up, so the MY change is looking to be week 31 i think. The rumors are orders will open up again in August for deliveries September/October.
  13. IIRC if it has black 19" extreme wheels it's the 230. If has 18" or anthracite Extremes it's a 220.
  14. Things may have changed, but there was an old post kicking about showing a charging matrix for damage. I've found one on a Golf R owners forum from 2016 - https://www.vwroc.com/forums/topic/13765-damage-charges-matrix/ Someone on here may have a newer matrix they can post up? Back then it was £110 per body panel needing paint, £36 per alloy wheel and £65 for the windscreen. At 3 years/65000 miles I'd expect some kerbing on the wheels and a few scuffs on the bumper. This is inline with the fair wear guidelines too - http://issuu.com/bfwsn67/docs/fwt_volkswagen_financial_services_2?e=2001091%2F12361092 I'd be tempted to risk
  15. I had a very similar feeling in my old insignia, i ended up having the pedal box replaced under warranty (twice)
  16. Looks like it's been cleaned frequently with a strong TFR - something like solution finish will help. I wouldn't put it on the rubber of the ice scraper though, I wouldn't want to risk it getting onto the glass.
  17. I’ve seen this kind of rusting on high end Audi disks too. It’s not uncommon at all.
  18. The standard kits come with everthing needed, the t-track fixings slide into the rails and are an upgrade to the standard U bolt fittings.
  19. I’ve got the Kamei Husky XXL with Thule wingbars on mine. The box is great quality and really spacious. The 510 looks very similar, I think the only difference is it’s dual opening and the husky is one side only. I’d go for bars you can get different foot packs for, so not the Skoda ones or you’ll have to change the bars when uou change car. Also the T track fittings are well worth it.
  20. Unless your doing weekly trips over 30 miles i’d definately avoid diesel. I’ve got a diesel and I’m doing lower mileage and more short trips now. I’ve noticed a lot more regens going on, so the fuel consumption’s gone way up.
  21. I’m not sure the brochure is talking aboit UK spec. It’s called the VRS because Ford own the RS trademark. The brochure only mentions the RS so until it’s on the UK website I’m not taking this as right.
  22. It’s to me and to my neighbour. We both managed to get them off eventually but it was annoying.
