Yeti bonnet latch switch.
Got to ask the question ... why are you using a multiple translated handbook (and likely not the correct one) for your Yeti instead of just downloading the correct one (using the vin) from Skoda UK, upshot .... correct handbook for the car., save a lot of anguish and it will have the correct operating information for your model year of Yeti π https://www.skoda.co.uk/apps/manuals/Models Hope it helps if you read it! π

1.2 TSI brake upgrade - help needed
Reading with interest. OP, You mention the brakes dont seem to retard the speed, and if you press harder then you start to get some retardation etc, Question, what type and spec of pads are you using? Sound like it may be "track pads or fast road pads or some type of performance pads" from someone like EBC (green, yellow, red, black.) IME these types of pads are not really suitable for road use, they generally need to be warmed and used very hard to get the "performance" the manufacturers claim and IMO, you cant really get that from just normal day to day driving, you will get squeel, glazed pads/discs and that worrying foot on the brake nothing happening sensation until you brake much harder ... why? thats the way they are designed. I dont know what pad and friction material you are using, but maybe its a step for a hint. Hope it helps π

Drivers seat worn
Find a local car trimmer, these guys can work wonders and can usually match the original upholstery if it needs replaced or can just re foam as needed. Worth a search.π

Fabia III, Thule foot pack and fitting kit - Help
Thanks for that AGFalco, but that is the current updated kit for the Fabia (released in approx 2020.) I'm looking for the previous generation feet/fitting kits so I can possibly use some of my good condition "older" Thule components that I have accumulated over the years and are in my garage. π

Fabia III, Thule foot pack and fitting kit - Help
Afternoon guys, normally I skulk in the Yeti forums, but my sons other half has bought a very nice 2015 Fabia III and needs some roofbars. Thule to their whims, have again decided to change/update their fitting kit/foot packs. Not really an issue if buying new, but I have a box in the garage full of older range fitting and foot kits I'd like to utilise if possible. So parking my ramble, can I ask any Fabia III owner/user of Thule roofbars please tell me the model numbers of their kit. Foot pack and fitting kit etc esp the "older range" ... the current Thule kit is Foot pack 7105(00) evo clamp, and (14)5250 fitting kit, none of these parts are interchangeable with the older range hence my request for info. Thanks in advance Robin π

Goodbye to Yeti
As I said each to his own and while I would never own a Duster I also think the Puma's scores are awful albeit not quite as bad as the Duster and I wouldn't own one of them either. Shame on Ford, all that might and engineering prowess and they cant build a car with a front score of better than 75%, just my own thoughts and opinions. π

Goodbye to Yeti
Each to his own Prezafab, but watch the crash test vids, and look at the driver survival percentage ... scary π¨

Goodbye to Yeti
Do you really want to consider a Dacia Duster, the "new" version .... its got a dismal 3* euro nCap rating π

Skoda Yeti Fixed position roof bars
If you do not currently have OEM Skoda bars, then use Thule bars and the problem is solved as you can place them where ever you like. I have used Thule bars on the Yeti since new (2016) with no issues. Just a suggestion, hope it helps π

Yeti 4x4 without spare wheel.
After having a goosie, if the car is later and has AD-blue, then the tools are in a circular tub that fits inside the spare wheel .... π Its only the moulding for the detachable tow bar swan neck that in the later foam boxes, oh and a hole to allow the refilling of the Ad-blue tank.

Yeti 4x4 without spare wheel.
I dont believe it does in the UK just a can of goo, but if ordered as an option the tools are stored in the RHS foam boxes that surround the spare wheel and make supports for the carpet/hardwood panelled floor. We ordered the spare wheel option with ours. π

ESP Light turns on and stays on until the car is shut down
Hi, usually on the ends of the drive shafts after the bellows (maybe part of the wheel bearing if I remember correctly,) but you should still be able to see them not sure about the 2WD models, the rear ones may be on the inner face of the brake disk.

ESP Light turns on and stays on until the car is shut down
If you can clear the codes and see what comes back, also in addition to an ABS sensor check the ABS reluctor rings for corrosion and or splits or maybe even missing teeth ... just my 2p's worth. Hope it helps π

TDI short journeys
I sympathise, ours ( a 2.0TDI 150 DSG) does the extremes, when my wife was working she used it twice daily on runs of about 1.2 miles, one a month it would do a motorway drive of approx 30miles, if it was used on the summer trips to Germany and Italy 4000 miles in 20 days mostly flat out esp in Germany, all our cars have or have had a very similar usage pattern. The upshot was we never had any issues with DPF, SCR, brakes etc, brakes are always used hard/properly and not tickled to save on wear and tear which IMO means everything just rusts up and instead of replacing the pads you usually need discs etc.... hardly a saving in my book. Everyone will do things differently, but we have used diesels for 35 years including models from Ford, BMW, Volvo, Renault, VW Group Opel/Vauxhall and MB with DPF, and SCR systems, never once have we ever had a problem and the usage pattern has never changed from described above. If it were me, I would not worry, just take your car for a blast every couple of weeks and in my experience that will keep the "alleged diesel issues" at bay. Just my opinion for what its worth. π Should have said no clever fuel additives, but on the tank before the mot or on a european run I put a dose (1ltr) of Moly Diesel Purge in the tank to clean up the injectors, otherwise just Shell V-Power Diesel.

Scrapping ?
Do you trust your MOT garage? I had "rusting rear trailing arms on our XC90 at 8yo, my opinion was its scaling and certainly not structural, which was backed up at my Volvo dealer who declared the opinion and mot fail as Bo@@@@@@ks, they passed the car with nothing being done and no advisories ... their opinion was they were just looking for work. Are you sure its on its deathbed, if not try another mot with a different garage and see what they say as replacement calipers are not a big job. Unless you really want rid. π

Scrapping ?
So has it spent time wading or pulling boats on a slipway .... never heard of that level of corrosion on a 14yo car before unless its been constantly wet, certainly on post 2000 cars πͺ even our Clio2 was rust free at 23yo when it went to meet its maker
