no satnav means you will have to add an antenna if you go for a MIB2 Upgrade. Maybe PAB has one. Android head units are nice but can get you a headache to be set right. If you don't care about call quality and don't mind loosing a few features, android head units are the way to go. If not, go with an MIB2 upgrade, swap the usb port for the one that allows android auto and carplay, add your gps antenna and you are good to go

Yes the remote must have a button for just the boot. If you have keyless system then pressing the boot handle will unlock only the boot

Iy you have the small handle, you need yo measure the plug and you will need to build a clamp to hold yue AliExpress handle. If you have the bog handle then you ar good to go but go for the stock Octavia camera on AliExpress, it will have all the options

Yes mib upgrade is the best option. Therefore you won't get wireless android auto or carplay, the units are not meant for it. They are dongles for wirelessly but won't recommend theme as they have speech recognition delay and don't quite understand what you say on Android auto. I can't pronounce for Apple carplay. Stick with the mib upgrade and wired connection. It works Great and charges your phone at the same time.

You will see the options but it won't do s...t the RAISE canbus has limited interaction with the car. Mainly streering wheel control, climate conbtrol, drive options, reverse camera and voila, don't expect anything else. If you can go with crappy phone calls and limited acces to the car settings, these units are in deed very good for the reste, no doubt. But if you want to retain all the functionalities, they are juste not ready yet. And for android auto on the stock unit, you may also need to change the usb socket. Contact @pab567 and ask him about it, he is the expert here

Yes stearing all the wheel function and others will work. You will have limited access to car settings but car status will not show, so tmps will not work. You can get a usb sensor and wheels caps to have tyre pressure. Also voice recognition is not working on the units for android auto. It will not understand what you are saying. It is the greatest drawbacks. Honestly if you really want Android auto, go with the 150 pounds or contact pab to see if he can fo something for you. It will be hastle free and you will retain all the car functions.

No car tyre pressure monitor will work with an Android head unit. If the unit can read the car status then it will show the low pressure alert. This said, My previous unit could not read the car status.

Man went past this Post, @pab567 can help you with the retrofitting. Send your unit back and Contact him. The USB port is the yellow plug for data and you must send 5v from the unit to the quadlock in order to power the port. As far as I know, only Alpin makes such an adapter. When I was on my Android devices, I had to build my own in order to have the USB port work. Splice and re-pin the USB power from the unit and pin it to the quadlock

yes. the black connector is the car DAB antenna, plug it to the fakra then the cable to the usb dongle. You will have DAB reception without having to stick the antenna on the window. It is cleaner and more efectiv this way

The unit in the glove box become useless ad you unplug the quad lock from the unit to plug it to the Android one. O. The other hand, if your car has Stock gps, you can use a fakra adaptor to hook the car gps antenna to the Android unit (works great). The same goes for the dab antenna, fakra to the USB stick format and you are good to go. Only the microphone can't be used as the car had a powered mic

You can see my earlier comment on these head units. If you décide to go this route, stay away from the 2g models and go at least for the 4g's

Does your stock usb work? if not then check the huge poste on android head units, another user and I poster hox to rewire the plug going to the head unit. when you press the driving mode button does it show up on the screen? + how is the call quality?

This should be standard no? at least it is on mine. speedo and rpm swype every time on startup

Strange, normaly it under reads by about 7 km/h... Maybe a VCDS coding can solve it
