  1. Have you checked the ARB drop link joints, they are usually a prime suspect.
  2. If it's got the in-tank fuel pump under the rear seat, check it is pumping fuel ok. It should run for a few seconds when the ignition is turned on, then also while cranking the engine & when running.
  3. It sounds like the calliper or handbrake cable is partially seized. You will need to have a look to determine which is the problem. Might just be the cable/ lever mechanism needs lubricating. If it's the calliper it will need servicing with new seals or a new/ exchange calliper.
  4. It will keep trying to regen on every journey until it is able to complete. Probably best to take it on a longer trip to let it complete a regen so the fans don't run when you turn off the engine. Every attempted regen adds a little diesel to the engine oil which can cause other serious problems. Best check the oil level isn't too high .
  5. Don't know if it will help, but about half way down this post Few Little Problems - Skoda Fabia Mk I - BRISKODA is a diagram of the vacuum pipes. May not be your engine though.
  6. If that is the case you should get a message to " press clutch " when the key is in the start position. Can you hear a click from the starter relay when the key is turned to start & clutch depressed ? If not, suggest the ignition switch is intermittent.
  7. You can fit one of these 11. EGR Diagnostic Simulator Plate for VW Audi Skoda Seat 2.0 TDI CR II Euro 5 | eBay if your engine code is suitable. It disables the EGR but doesn't affect the DPF operation. If you are happy with a bit more Nox exiting the tailpipe ( certainly more in it's present malfunctioning state ) it's the cheapest way out.
  8. Look at the DPF gas temperature & Post Injection 2 & 3, it's trying to do a regen now, even though is says under " Distance Since Last Regen 11Km " so just finished a regen. The output gas temperature is lower than input gas temp so nothing is in the DPF to be burnt. The DPF Differential Pressure ( bottom right box ) shows 226 which is very high if the engine was just ticking over. I would guess that your DPF differential pressure sensor is probably faulty & giving out incorrect data.
  9. Do you have the DSG gearbox, in which case it will have 2 thermostats. It's usually the DSG stat that fails stuck open or opening early. This overcools the engine.
  10. Once mine gets to 90 it stays there, no drop off at all. There is no electronic water pump on the CFFB engine, they only started fitting it to the EA288 engine from 2015. There is an auxiliary electric pump that circulates coolant to the EGR. Had that fail on my previous Passat, but it made no discernible difference to the engine running or temperature at all when failed.
  11. I have the same car as you, same year & engine, manual gearbox. I've been over it with a fairly fine tooth combe in the past & never found a second stat. It does take a good 5/6 miles to get up to temp ( 90 on the gauge ).
  12. Your DPF input gas temp shows 65C, output gas temp shows 192C. If they are giving correct info the Cat/ DPF are working & trying to heat up. It could be your EGR is partially stuck open cooling the exhaust. When the engine is cold check both gas temps again, they should be roughly the same.
  13. Very difficult to advise without any codes. Did the garage that checked it have VCDS ? But as a start, what is the engine code.
  14. That silver band in your picture about 2cm wide connects the turbo to DPF & should be gas tight. It's probably come loose allowing exhaust gas to escape. The EGR is an expensive fix. Or you can fit an EGR Emulator for about £100, DIY in less than 1 hour which disables the EGR & doesn't affect the DPF. But the engine will emit more Nox, depends if you are ok with that. Nox isn't tested during the MOT.
  15. You need a diagnostic scan to find out why the emissions light is on, then post results here. Otherwise you're fishing in the dark.
  16. Sounds like the rear pads are sticking to the discs due to the damp atmosphere at the moment. If you are parking on a fairly level road, leave the handbrake off when parking but in 1st or reverse gear, which will prevent the car from moving.
  17. I would find someone with VCDS to do a code read first. DPF's can get blocked up due to other items on the engine failing, the DPF is then unable to regen itself. A stuck EGR or Throttle Valve can stop the DPF regen. Have a look at the VCDS Owners map to see if anyone local to you. List of VCDS Owners (Previously known as VAG-COM) & VCP Owners - Diagnostics & VCDS - BRISKODA
  18. Batteries don't like going flat & can be permanently damaged. Are you able to connect a battery conditioner charger or trickle charger for a few days? If so, charge the battery for 2/3 days. Then check the battery voltage with a meter after a further few days standing, before trying to start it & let us know the readings. You don't really want to spend out on a new battery if this one can be recovered.
  19. It sounds like water is getting into the wiring somewhere. Check the sensor plug for any Verdigris shorting the pins. If not, check back further along the cable for damage & that water isn't being trapped in the outer covering somewhere. It's quite important to get this sorted, as the sensor's value is used by many different modules in the car.
  20. May be just connect one EGR stub to the other with some rubber pipe & clips, that will stop any exhaust leak. EGR is an expensive thing to change, & not the most reliable part on the car even from new.
  21. If there are no codes, make sure the in-tank fuel pump runs reliably. They can become intermittent.
  22. Yes, brakes have been perfect since I changed the MC & flushed all the slave cylinders through.
  23. I would say the garage is spot on. Get the Master Cylinder or even just the MC seals changed. Then have all the fluid changed to the slave cylinders. I had a similar thing with my Superb about a year ago. MC seals weren't available, I had to buy a complete new MC, about £130 from ECP. You may be able to get just the seals for yours.
  24. If you have a look at this link you will see the part No TH575 from BEHR down the list. coolant cooling system - Superb(SUP) [EUROPA 2011 year] (7zap.com) So yes, this is the correct part for your Superb. Alternatively it's available even cheaper here :- Coolant Thermostat fits AUDI A3 8P 1.8 06 to 13 Firstline 1K0121113A Quality New 5038068512468 | eBay The same part if you look down at the compatibility list.
