  2. Hi, If your filter actually looks like the pic, I'd say it's not the right one. I've changed the fuel filter numerous time on both TDI150 and TDI190 engines, the right one is not like that. The last one I've changed was in april this year. It's higher, diameter is smaller and there's no pipe. Besides I don't remember it has a plastic part on its lower end. OEM reference for your car is 5Q0127 177B. Check if you've ordered the right one or, if you've made no mistake, maybe the website didn't send you the one you've ordered... ๐Ÿ™„ it unfortunately happens.
  3. 3 Kodiaqs? Wow, a real Kodiaq fan! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Was the #2 in velvet red?
  4. Hi, Today's, or rather...this afternoon's activities (after the final plates installation this morning): 1) Deep cleaning of the bodywork. First pass with pressure washer to remove the biggest part of dirt, then shampooing with my foam lance, rinsing with the pressure washer once it's been sitting for several minutes, then hand wash with microfiber glove. And fine wish with a paint brush in the narrow spaces (e.g.: door and tailgate hinges, folds in the window seals, logos, honeycomb cells on the lower grille and the small strip under the tailgate too, etc.) BTW, honeycomb design is visually quite nice, but cleaning and especially drying it, takes a bit of time.๐Ÿ™„... I might end up replacing this strip under the tailgate with the red reflector strip (Kodiaq RS-like). ๐Ÿ˜Ž. This way, I'll gain at least... 5 to 10 hp ๐Ÿคฃ! And finally, drying with the MF. I didn't need tar remover and nor ferrous decontaminant, because it was so clean in the narrow spaces such as hooks and door and tailgate hinges, I assume it had recently been detailed and/or had been sleeping in a garage. It was really very clean in those areas, even though they're usually quite dusty. I even wonder if it hasn't had a bodywork treatment, because the paint is still well water-repelling. Or maybe it's simply because it's been sleeping in a garage, which has preserved its paint. 2) Removing the model (KODIAQ) and transmission (4x4) lettering. All that remains is the "ลก K O D A" lettering on the tailgate. But I think I'll remove it and replace it with the plain round Skoda logo, like on the pre-FL versions. It'll probably give it a slightly less modern look, but it'll be definitely better for washing, because the "ลก", the "K", and the "A" quickly ruin your MF. 3) Installation of the rear mud flaps. I didn't have enough time to put the front ones on because it was too late, as that would have required to remove the front wheels to drill the wheel arches (per Skoda instructions). So I'll do that tomorrow, ๐Ÿ™‚... Tomorrow, if everything still goes good, I'll wash the interior and install a few parts I bought. Monday, I'll have its new summer wheels installed; it should have a lot more character. ๐Ÿ˜ƒ! Yes, I promise. Pics will arrive, but I'm currently doing my best to clean it as it deserves to show it off properly. ๐Ÿ˜‰!
  5. You probably used this for the 5F DTC : https://forums.ross-tech.com/index.php?threads/36824/ Well, which codes are left?
  6. Received my registration certificate. Importing process has then come to its end. Only need to get the plates, now. ๐Ÿ™‚
  7. Hi Graham, I think a reset process is described in the owner's manual. For this second point, I would make a VCDS scan (or any equivalent tool) to see if there's no fault code about the boot latch. It may be faulty or simply the proximity sensor close to the hook.
  8. OK. I think @JR RS may be right. Do you plan to erase all fault codes and make another scan?
  9. Thanks a lot! I've already done steps #1 to #3. I had in mind to do steps #4 to #5 as I did formerly and I had guessed step #6 was the way to process. However I'm a bit surprised by step #7, which states: "For proper updating, we recommend to leave the USB Flash Disc plugged into the vehicle connector each time you drive". Really? ๐Ÿ˜ณ I had imagined the complete new map was uploaded and stored on the MIB... Lucky you! It doesn't on mine... ๐Ÿ˜• I'll see if the upload fixes it. The strange thing is that some radio stations broadcast both in FM and DAB/DAB+. For some of them, I have the logo for FM version, whereas DAB doesn't...
  10. Wow, 3 sets of wheels?... it seems logical when living in Scandinavian country, but what a budget! ๐Ÿ˜ฏ I think caps for ISOfix hooks were standard on mine too, but simply missing. But I don't know why (it's a second hand car).
  11. Hi, What symptoms do you face? I mean, what were you looking for when making this scan? I understand, you tried to erase fault codes in module 75-Telematics and you looked int the long coding on this module too. Did you intend change something? Considering there are a lot of DTCs, and some of them already have several months. I would suggest erasing all of them and making a new scan to see which ones actually remain. I feel module 75 may not be the culprit. BTW, did you ask on the ross-tech forum (assuming your HEX-V2, is an original one)? They saved me 3 or 4 times or at least they helped me checking that my dealer did not try to fool me... ๐Ÿ˜‰
  12. Hi, I don't see why you couldn't. Have the read the owner's manual? As a TDI owner, I won't explain how it is on mine, because it may be a bit different from an iV version...
  13. I closed VCDS while doing it. But I made the mistake to let the radio on and driver door opened. This battery was very low, when it was time to restart the car. Note: I only replaced rear pads, discs were still fine.
  14. Hi, I've done it once with VCDS. I don't know VAWS 3.0 and if there are any difference. Here is the procedure with VCDS: 1) Ignition on, engine off, handbrake released, foot NOT on brake pedal, open 03-ABS > Basic setting. Then look for "Start lining change" or something to that effect in the drop down menu. 2) Piston is then pushed back, do not wind, you'll break it. 3) No tool needed, a lever bar between disc and pad or flat screw driver, G clamp or any other tool will work to push back 4) Once pads changed and caliper refitted (and spring as well), pump the brake pedal lots till full contact is made 5) Ignition on, engine off, foot NOT on brake, open 03-ABS > Basic settings. Then look for "End lining change" in the drop down menu, wait till its done (roughly 40 seconds). This enables the handbrake learning the new rear pad thickness in order to adjust the correct pressure to apply, when handbrake is ON. 6) Cycle ignition, put handbrake on and off a few times, done. Don't forget to brake gently for 200km or so to bed the pads... ๐Ÿ˜‰ Hope this helps.
  15. Hi, I was used to Columbus MIB 2.5 on my former Superb Mk3 and all updates could be done thanks to a SD card. Now, on my MY2022 Kodiaq, I undesrtand I have a Columbus MIB3. But I have no SD card slot in the glovebox anymore. I've already made some online updates directly with the MIB3 menu, BUT : Radio stations logos aren't uptodate. Some are even missing. Online update doesn't fix it. I don't know how to update the GPS map. I've downloaded it from the Skoda portal (with my VIN) on my PC. I was just wandering if I could upload it with a SD card reader and USB-C cable. I don't know if it's possible to upload POI (using the same method) TIA. Cheers.
  16. Hi, I also have a MY2022 Kodiaq. If you canโ€™t supply an owner manual, there is a digital manual, which you can access from the MIB. Better than no manual at allโ€ฆ ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  17. There's not so much difference legroom for rear passengers. I had feared it would be tighter for my 3 kids (sorry I shouldn't say kids, since one is a teenager now and another one is about to become one too... Time goes fast ๐Ÿ˜). The tallest one is 5'6" and does complain though most of the time sat ont the central seat. Since the seats are a bit higher from the floor than on my ex Mk3, the difference is not a big deal I would say. However the comfort mode with DCC on Superb Mk3 is way smoother than on my Kodiaq Mk1 on long trip (though the latter is acceptable). I don't regret my Mk3. I wanted to go for a change...
  18. Hard to hear... All I can hear is that it sounds a bit like a V8... Strange...
  19. IMHO, this does not make sense at all. Wearing is something physical that you can't avoid. Thus sooner or later, belt change will be necessary. Just to give an idea, on TDI190 Skoda recommends a belt change at 210000km. The thing is to find the corresponding mileage for this iV engine. Could it be the same as for TSI150 (classic petrol engine) since this engine is the basis for iV version ๐Ÿค” ? Maybe I'm wrong, just guessing. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  20. I had the tiny lights on my Superb Mk3 and now have side lights on my current Kodiaq. I have to say the latter are much more visible and safer indeed. You can't miss the side lights whereas you can miss the tiny lights depending on how the sun light reflects on the rearview mirrors...
  21. Fully satisfied with this double-sided one. I highly recommend it too.
  22. I had no mean to measure. But I would say less than 5 mph (maybe 5 km/h) ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. I let you make some tests... ๐Ÿ˜‰ My Mk3 has just gone with a new owner this morning, thus I can't check anymore. I'm doubting about their lighting on upon lock/unlock. But I'm sure both BSD icons just light on, when you start the engine (or at least put the contact ON, I can't remember).
  23. Hi, I've also feared the BSD did not work properly on the passenger side, when I got my Mk3. But once the dealer checked it and told me there was no error, I finally understood that it takes the differential speed into account with vehicles you're overtaking. If this differential speed is high enough, it doesn't light on. It only lights on when you overtake with only few mph faster. Hope it helps. ๐Ÿ˜‰
  24. @Colin170CR You're right. It's the car I've kept for the longest time compared to all others I've owned, and somehow it has become a little part of the family. When you think to past holidays somewhere, there is always an anecdote or a memory that brings you back to this car. And I understand your hesitation regarding what could be the next one. It took me something like 18-24 months to define what will be the next one. And even 2 weeks before I bought my Kodiaq Mk1, I was still hesitating for a Q5 Mk2. I wish all Superb Mk3 owners many safe and happy miles with their car ! Take care to all of you (and your Superb ๐Ÿ˜‰). No worry, as said few posts above, I'll still be lurking here from time to time, though I've moved to the Kodiaq Mk1 forum next door. Cheers!
  25. Hi, My Superb Mk3 Estate has gone this morning with its new owner after 136500km and 7.5 y.o. He's really happy and so am I, since he told me his new Mk3 will sleep in a garage, which I couldn't do.
