  1. Discovered that the button to open the electrical boot from the driver's door also works to close it. πŸ˜ƒ Great! This was not the case on my Superb Mk3 (open function only).
  2. @doluck : I don't keep them that clean. I only wash them from time to time with a nylon brush and dishwashing liquid and a bit of elbow oil. ;) The rest of the time, I have to say, they're dirty / dusty 😐 I haven't found yet how to levitate kids on the back row. 😁
  3. Forgot pics of the inside after last deep clean: Not too bad for a 7.5 y.o car with 137000km on the clock πŸ™‚. (with 3 kids 😁).
  4. And 3! 3rd consecutive clean MOT. So happy! Now, I can write the ad to sell my Mk3. πŸ˜ƒ By the way, the inspector praised its condition. It started with a "Uh... You do get it dirty from time to time, do you 😯?!" I then explained that it had just been deeply cleaned to sell it sale. He replied with a "It's really spotless," accompanied by a respectful approving pout. He continued with "One can see that it's very well maintained because seeing the inside of the rims are in such condition, it's rare 😦..." I admitted to him that I have a set of summer and winter wheels and that every time I swap them, I thoroughly clean the ones I take off before storing them. I've driven less than 50 km since I put the summer wheels back on. He concluded with, "If I could do cars in this condition more often, I'd be happy πŸ™‚. I even hesitated to use the windshield washer, it hurt my heart to get it dirty..." 🀣 Even myself, when I saw the windshield washer, I was... 🫣 πŸ˜‚ Well, not a big deal in the end, because I drove home under a light rain and I expect, I have to give it a quick wash when a buyer wants to see it anyway. Of course, I wasn't unhappy that my efforts were recognized. 😎. Small downside: I've had a random message on the maneuver brake system for a few weeks. It only appears on cold starts. I'm gonna make a VCDS scan to see what it is, but I've already booked an appointment by my local dealer to get this sorted for sale.
  5. I feel skeptic about an electrical cause leading to a common fault mode on both horns at the same time... This gets me back to my pneumatic theory, then... πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  6. Hi, I admit this is way too high... Usual oil consumption on TDI engines is less than 1l per 15000km (this is my humble experience after 5 TDI engines from 2004) However, I've often read that 1l per 1000km is still within VAG tolerances. πŸ™„ A good way for VAG not to pay for repairs when an engine starts overconsuming... Considering the total oil capacity is 4.7l (incl. filter) on Superb Mk3 TDI engines, a complete oil renewal just by topping up, way before service or inspection (I never can remind which one is the smaller) due mileage should alert any VAG tech... I cross the fingers for both of you, that's a quick and cheap fix.
  7. I have my MY2022 Kodiaq for less than one month. I didn't have the time to have a close look under the bonnet yet, sorry... But if as on many other VAG models, this could be behind the front bumper, indeed. Other possibility, horn wires damaged by a rodent, leading to intermittent fault...
  8. Hi, I don't think it may be a battery, relay or fuse issue. Otherwise it won't come back on 'hot start' I assume it could be related to the pneumatic part of the horn, having a pressure loss. On 'cold start', the pressure has completely dropped down leading to a horn not working. On 'hot start', the pressure loss is too slow and the horn still works. This is only a theory, not sure it is what really happens...
  9. Hi, This topic may help you: https://www.briskoda.net/forums/files/category/8-skoda-kodiaq/ There's one workshop manual dedicated to diesel engine fuel system indeed. It should give you an idea on how to access the fuel pump and if it implies dropping the fuel tank. Hope this helps. Regarding other issues, can you post the VCDS scan file here? I can have a look...
  10. Hi, Don't you have any USB-C connector in the centre console, close to the 12V socket? I'm in t he same situation, as I'm currently swapping from a MY2018 L&K Superb Estate to a MY2022 L&K Kodiaq. I've just bought this to solve the problem: USB-C Micro-SD card reader
  11. Hi, That would be my approach too. If you plan to DIY, this may help you: Enjoy! πŸ˜‰
  12. After intensive handwash...
  13. A complete day of detailing. Perfect weather: cloudy almost all day long and sunny in the early evening for pictures! Inside: Completely vacuumed (even the spare wheel well), leathers cleaned and moisturized, plastics brushed (espacially door sills and drivers pedals), rubber mats cleaned and brushed with an APC. Outside: Intensive handwash (doors and tailgate hinges, bonnet & tailgate logos, folds of door seals around windows, all cleaned with a paint brush), tar removed, windows cleaned with alcohol. It was my way to be grateful to my Mk3 after 7.5 years and 136500 km on the clock before selling it. As a 'feedback', it granted me all this subtil metallic glitters of its Moon white color 😍, that I had almost forgotten... πŸ™„
  14. Hi, I've noticed my ambient lights only get ON when my low beam automatically light ON. Is there a way to have them ON all the time (as on my former Superb Mk3)? Is there a VCDS mod for that? Thanks for your help. πŸ™‚
  15. Hi, Just got my MY2022 Kodiaq for 2-3 weeks. I've added this Kodiaq to MySkoda App, became the main user. Just struggle with adding another user without creating another account with an email address and renaming a username... Not tried to update anything yet. Thus I can't help you sorry. Before trying to update the map I'd like to update the radio logos because several are missing. I haven't looked how to proceed yet. I've downloaded them (and the latest map as well) from the Skoda portal, but it seems it can be done online too πŸ€”... I don't what the latter means. I ain't sure it will be as quick as using USB C ports. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  16. That’s it. I didn’t pay enough attention. The center back seat can be folded alone. Great! Thanks for the tip!
  17. Skoda recommends changing brake fluid after 3 years and then every 2 years. Might it be the cause of your problem or not, it's time to have it changed anyway. Then you'll see if your problem has disappeared or is still there at some point. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  18. Hi, Since it's a manual gearbox, when was the last time you had your brake fluid changed? Indeed, the clucth slave cylinder is powered with brake fluid. It could then be an hypothesis... among others.
  19. Connected my Kodiaq to my profile in MySkoda app. But once in the car, I can't add or rename a new profile without creating a an account with an email address. At least it looks so. Thus I didn't go forward. Did I miss something? Also discovered that there's no ski hatch in the centre rear seat back rest. Is this an option though on a MY2022 L&K trim? 😟 This was standard spec on my MY2017 L1K Superb Mk3... Otherwise, could be related to the country were it was first delivered? My Kodiaq was 1st registered in Luxemburg, whereas my Superb was first delivered in France... πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ
  20. I fear it might not be related to Android auto, cause I don’t use it… πŸ˜‰I use Apple CarPlay
  21. Hi, It seems ok on mine. Sorry.
  22. How old is you Kodiaq? I had a strange behavior yesterday on my radio system in my MY Kodiaq. No sound at all, though it wasn't muted. I unsuccessfully rebooted the MIB. All finally came back after I switched off and restarted the engine. Strange. Never faced that on the MIB2.5 of my Superb Mk3.
  23. As @leolito said, ti may probably survive the summer, but be prepared to change it when fall will come. With our modern car with all these electronics equipment, a battery failure can be that sudden. One day it's as every former days and the next, it's like christmas tree on your dashboard and very hard to start, or... You won't be able to start at all without external power assistance... Of course, Mr 'Murphy' will make this happen when it's the most annoying for you... πŸ˜‰ I faced that on my former Superb Mk2. Thus I replaced the battery of my Superb Mk3 preventively.
  24. Congratulations! Stunning figures…
