Kodiaq phone connection fails
Hi, Q#1: Have you tried to remove your Iphone from the phone list in your MMI and then tried to pair it again? Q#2: If your IPhone has a Lightning type connector, do you also struggle with charging it at home? If yes, then just clean it with a wooden toothpick to remove all dust (mainly clothe fibers from pants or jacket pockets) accumulated in the connector

Superb estate 2024 se tech advice
I would start replacing both tyres on the axle where your Davanti is. Additionally, I would look at rear tyres. Indeed, if they have a sawtooth wear, this could be the reason why they are noisy. It's a known issue on many VAG models. VAG recommends to swap front and rear tyres to get rid of this kind of wear within 500-1000km. If noise is still there, then VAG recommends to swap left and right front tyres for another 500-1000km. Don't change your 4 tyres too quickly. ;)

Superb estate 2024 se tech advice
Hi, Regarding tyres, maybe you could give us your current tyres size, cause this can impact the noise level, even for the same tyre band & model. Concerning the place to have your oil changed, a dealer could make sense if you plan to sell your car in... let's say 4-5 years. But if you plan to keep it for 8-10 years or more, I think it won't be an issue if your car doesn't a full Skoda service history. The main concern of your buyer will be to have a full history and no missing bill as proofs of what the seller says... For instance, my wife's previous car was an Audi Q3 TDI150. We bought it to her brother. It was then 75000km and 2 y.pO with a full Audi service history. Then as the warranty was over, I made the complete maintenance by myself (oil change, filters, wipers, brake fluid, etc.) at due dates and due mileage (and often ahead of Audi recommandations). The only thing I had done was the timing belt by an Audi dealer. We sold it at 165000km and 9 y.o. with all invoices of every single maintenance operation. The buyer was really happy to have the full history of this Q3. He recognized, he had seen several similar Audi Q3, but none had such a cristal clear maintenance history. Coming back to your question. Dealer or local garage is up to you, but the main point is to have maintenance done at the correct time/mileage and to keep all invoices. ;)

What have you done to your Kodiaq today?
Discovered a new feature today. My Kodiaq is fitted with Virtual pedal to open the boot. Not an option I would have specced, but funny one. However I need to pratice. I don’t get it right every time. A good way to look stupid shaking ones leg under the rear bumper… 😁

@leolito & @travs Thanks for your feedbacks. Don’t worry, I will still be lurking here. The Kodiaq Mk1 forum ´next door’ looks very calm compared to this one… 😁

Questions about Kodiaq FL specs. on L&K trim
Few additional questions about L&K trim. 1) In my Mk3 Superb Estate, the ashtray cover is spring-loaded and closes automatically when needed. On my new to me Kodiaq, I don't have an ashtray anymore but there's the phone box option to let a smartphone being induction recharged. But the phone box cover isn't spring loaded. Is this the standard configuration? 2) In my Mk3 Superb Estate, the luggage cover has a small flap just in front of the roller, to avoid any gap between the roller and the top of the back rest of rear seats. This hides the boot content On my new to me Kodiaq Mk1, there's no such flap. The only solution I've found 'till then to fill this gap is to tilt the rear seats backrests backwards. How is your luggage cover? With or without flap in front of the roller? Thanks. 🙂

What have you done to your Kodiaq today?
Hi, Coming from the Superb MK3 forum, I noticed this kind of thread is missing here. Thus I propose to correct this. Well, today I started tuning my new to me Kodiaq (MY2022): Door hinge covers installed Door hook covers installed Luggage cover handle upgraded with an Audi one (includes a spring-loaded flap to fill the hole and hide the boot content). 2nd Kessy key upgraded with chrome parts (3rd one will remain full plastic). Other mods should come soon. Feel free to share what you've done too. 🙂

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Summer wheels back on my Mk3 again. Brake discs and pads thickness checked. All good for front and rear axles. 🙂 Now just a deep clean of outside and inside before selling it. A MY2022 Kodiaq TDI200 4x4 L&K has arrived few days ago to replace my "old good" Mk3 Estate.

What summer tyres do you drive on 19'' wheels with your Kodiaq?
Coming from the Superb Mk3 forum, the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 often come as one of the preferred options. I know there's no perfect compromise since it really depends on how people drive, what kind of roads the use, etc. etc. exactly as you say. I only would like to see what the most common option option is...

What summer tyres do you drive on 19'' wheels with your Kodiaq?
Hi, I've bought recently a MY2022 TDI200 4x4 Kodiaq Mk1. It's currently fitted with 4 Hankook Ventus evo S1 SUV (235/50/19 99V). I'm wondering what do you drive as summer tyres? I usually buy Michelin or Continental. I had an experience with Pirelli P7 Cinturato on Superb Mk2 and Superb Mk3, but they did not convince me... Please feel free to explain why you (dis)like your tyres: Grip on dry/wet roads; Noise; Comfort; Longevity; Price; etc. Thanks for sharing your experience.

Auto handbrake release problem
No problem! Better ask than remaining in the « fog »… 😉 This acronym stands for VAG-COM Diagnostic System. (VAG = Volkswagen Aktien Geselschaft / COM = Communication) This contains: A cable to plug to the diagnostic connector of your car on one hand and on a PC on the other hand. A software to install on your this PC. This enables you: Either getting the potential fault codes in every Control Unit of your car Or changing some codings in these Control Units Or making basic settings Or making advanced measures on some sensors … Feel free to ask. 😉

Auto handbrake release problem
Sorry, no idea. But I don’t see any obvious reason why it could not work on manual gearbox. Maybe I´m wrong

Auto handbrake release problem
Did you ever try to modify the setting with VCDS? If it’s tuned to « early release » instead of « normal », AutoHold behaves as if it was OFF when you start. 😉

Help understanding the mk3.5 facelift
One other think to take into account with latest MY20 or MY21 is supply chain problems. Many car manufacturers have downgraded the equipment level, to make cars come out from their assembly lines faster and avoid customers waiting up to 18 months for their car delivery. For instance some Peugeot 2008 Mk2 were fitted with needle tachometers and revometers instead of virtual cockpits as specced. I know some Audi were downgraded too. I don’t see why Škoda Superb would not have been impacted too…

Kodiaq Owners Register
Hi, Coming from a MY2017 Superb Mk3 TDI190 DG6 4x4 in L&K trim, I've switched to a MY2022 Kodiaq Mk1 TDI200 4x4 in L&K trim on last thursday. As it was hard to find on the french market (I've seen only 5 on car selling websites since october), I've imported it from Germany. Already done ~1100km with it. Quite happy. Not the same smoothness as in my Superb in DCC comfort mode, on long motorway trips. But still correct. Not fully used to the VC, which my Superb Mk3 did not have, but it will be just a question of days... Some improvements coming soon. 😉 And some questions to ask... 😁

Questions about Kodiaq FL specs. on L&K trim
Thanks for your quick answer! Much appreciated! Q2: Was the original equipped on both front and rear doors? Q4: I'll see what I can do. Thanks. Forgot one question: There no SD card reader in the glove box. Is the only way to play MP3 files using USB-C connectors close to the phone box?

Questions about Kodiaq FL specs. on L&K trim
Hi, I have some questions about a MY2022 Kodiaq in L&K trim. Front doors projects the "Skoda" logo onto the floor. Is it possible to retrofit it on the rear doors? There's the hole in the door trim, but no light in. Both front and rear doors have no red taillights. Only red reflectors on front doors. Was the Kodiaq ever fitted with red door lights on both front and rear doors? If so, could anyone share the OEM P/N for retrofitting please?. Front door sills have a brushed aluminium protections (with "Kodiaq" lettering). Is there an equivalent for rear door sills? I've only found OEM P/N for non FL version. There's a dual floor in the boot. Is there a way to lower/fold the upper floor onto the lower one, to avoid the gap between both floors in order to maximize the available height under the luggage cover? Thanks for your anwsers 😊

How to tell if used Superb has active lane guidance
Hi, Except asking to the dealer, it's hard to know if it's fitted with Lane Assist just based on pictures... All you can see is a specific button on the MFSW to access all driver's assistance functions. However, if ht MFSW does have this button, it's not sure the Lane Assist function will be installed.
