  1. Hi, Made one of the most favorite VCDS mod : "Stop and Start settings" tuned with VCDS to make it less 'invasive'. Coding will be shared in the dedicated thread. 😉 But I still struggle with 2 VCDS mods : Needle sweep when putting contact ON. Coding is accepted, but nothing happens on my VC... 🤔 Activating Easy entry on both driver and passenger seats. Errr... Possibly I forgot to open the bonnet. 🤭 Not used to this. This is the 1st VAG car I own, which requires this. I owned 5 other VAG car before this one. Never had to it. Will try another day... 😄
  2. This setting only deals with turning on the Headlights. It's different from the High Beam Assist, which automatically switches from low beam to high beam and other way round. I think @brettikivi is more looking for the latter point, I guess.
  3. Hi Graham, Good news! And.. Sorry for my ignorance, but what does this mean? (maybe just something I can't translate properly): 🤷‍♂️ And what is this ? I've never heard about this feature... 🤔
  4. Just have in mind that roughly 10000 aircrafts fly everyday with digidashes and some of these A/C have more than 20 y.o. This technology appeared in the 80's... For sure digidashes in cars are not dual-channel ones as in aircrafts to improve reliability and safety, but I think one can easily say, that's now a proven technology. 🙂 The first digidashes appeared in Superb Mk3 in 2018 for instance. They have now cumulated enough lessons learnt thru all VAG models to improve their reliability, I guess ;).
  5. Maybe my English was not good enough. But I don't see why your Superb would not work correctly. BTW, I did have to replace both front shock absorbers on my ex-Mk3 too... I just wanted to say that the comfort offered by a Superb Mk3 is high standard one. Thus don't be surprised if the Kodiaq is firmer. It's a SUV, it's not a 'mile-eater' as the Superb is... Otherwise, this Kodiaq seems to be well equipped and matches many of your search criteria, doesn't it?

  7. Be prepared to find the Kodiaq firmer. I had DCC on my ex-Superb Mk3 and have it on my current Kodiaq Mk1 too. There is a significant difference between both cars, whatever 'normal' and 'comfort' mode. The Superb was a 'magic carpet' on long trips. It absorbs all small road imperfections and bumps. You could hear them in the tires, but barely felt them. On some speed bumps in the neighborhood, I barely needed to brake. On the contrary, you can both hear and feel them in the Kodiaq. And on those same speed bumps, now it's better to brake, otherwise, you can get a bit juddered around. Nevertheless, it doesn't mean the Kodiaq isn't comfortable. The Superb is simply smooth where the Kodiaq is a bit firm. A test drive sounds a kind of GO / NO GO for you.
  8. Hi, Few new VCDS modifications tonight. But I didn't took time to check that they're working: - Display of the fuel tank top-up quantity on the VC - Display of the G-meter (very useful for my TDI 🤣) - Changed the corner lights cut-off speed (40 --> 60 km/h) I still have 3 more in mind, plus a 4th that seems stubborn (the coding is accepted, but nothing's happening 😬, I keep searching). Truth test tomorrow for today's 3... If they're OK, I'll update the dedicated post with VCDS mods. ;)
  9. If that's the point, then you should focus on FL version. Led headlights were not available on non-FL. BTW, I think AFS was available with Xenon, but once they introduced LEDs, the moved to matrix LED which replaces both AFS and Smart Light Assist. AFAIK FL version started in late 2021 or early 2022. I ain't no boy racer either, but as I wanted a 4x4 from 2022, TDI200 was the only solution for me. TDI150 4x4 was not proposed in FL version (at least in France). Thus, looking for a TDI150 4x4 with matix headlights may sound like looking for a unicorn 🙃. I fear you have to choose between Non FL TDI150 4x4 with Xenon headlights and AFS and FL TDI190 / TDI200 4x4 with Matrix LED headlights. Hope it helps refining your search criteria! Glad to see you soon in the Kodiaq Mk1 forum 😉 !
  10. A 500km trip today. I can confirm my "blue bear" behaves much better, when I need to rev up on lower gears. No more "groaning". It sounds like it has been "freed" a bit 😄. I guess this SW update has reset the DSG to factory settings and erased the self learning from the previous owner... Very pleased with that! 😃
  11. Hi, How old is the battery?
  12. Hi Graham, Also moving to the Kodiaq side? 😉😄 Do you really mean Mk2 or only FL version of Mk1? Mine is a MY2022, and thus a FL one. And it IS in L&K trim. I have to say I was lucky enough to find one with many options and very well equipped and therefore I fully understand you're hesitating to go from a L&K Superb Mk3 to a stripped down car... you'd regret your Superb... Otherwise nothing to add to recommendations above. Just one thing, what diesel engine had the one you've missed? Was it a TDI150, TDI190 or TDI200?
  13. Hi, Had the engine oil and oil filter changed today by my local dealer since my 'blue bear' has now 45000km on the clock. I had also asked for a Haldex oil change with Haldex pump strainer cleaning but there was a misunderstanding and they forgot to stock the Haldex pump o-rings and screws kit. This is thus postponed by the end of August. Not so bad... They also made an ECU recall action to update the SW. I'll pay more attention on next drives, but I feel like engine is less 'groaning' when I accelerate in lower gears. It's like it can accelerates more frankly, it's less linear. Since I've got it, I had sometimes the impression, that the handbrake was on (to some extent) when starting off at stop signs or traffic lights. As I also had trubbles with DriveGreen menu, I asked them if I was doing something wrong, since I had succeeded in activating the menu, but it didn't display anything. They told me it's normal, because the DriveGreen menu is not available anymore on Kodiaq Mk1 FL. The menu can be activated, but the SW code lines may have been removed. It doesn't display any score value anymore. No histogramms waving depending on foot pressure on the throttle. Neverminds...
  14. I've found it but not tested myself. I can MP it to you so you can check and confirm, if you want.
  15. Surprising that ACC might not be installed. AFAIK safety systems such Lane Assist, Front assist and ACC should be mandatory on brand new vehicles. Am I wrong... Or is it only applicable in EU? 🤔
  16. So am I... Curious that it grinds with all new...
  17. IMHO fear it's a bit more than "minor details" In the Superb MK3 forum (also MQB) there are 2 distincts threads for Non-FL and FL versions. I had noticed that some mods on FL aren't doable on non-FL. 🤷‍♂️
  18. As far as I understand your Kodiaq is a pre-FL, isn't it? Then if you intend to share your codings (which would be great 😃!), I suggest creating a dedicated thread, since codings may be different between Non-FL and FL versions. This has been done this way in the Superb Mk3 forum. I think it makes sense to find the right coding more easily and quickly. ;) TIA
  19. Hi, The 'new' one seems to be an older version compared to your original one: 11S vs. 12S on yours, as well as QFSD504B vs. QFSD504D. It may work, but you'll probably need to make SW update to get at least same performances as your original one. Note: I'm not an expert. Just guessing...
  20. Hi, Here are some modifications I've made with a genuine VCDS Hex-V2 on my MY2022 Kodiaq. /!\ DISCLAIMER /!\ I've made these mods alone. Some may be irrelevant for your Kodiaq (depending on MY, control unit HW or SW version, equipment, etc.). Don't attempt to duplicate them on your car if you don't know what you're doing. I'm not responsible for any damage on your car. If you're not sure, don't do it. Any changes are done entirely at your own risk Always save the original settings before attempting any mod!
