What have you done to your Kodiaq today?
Hi, A few mods made with my VCDS yesterday evening: - Activation of the Teardrop wiping function on the front and rear wipers - Activation of the A/C fan speed display in AUTO mode - Deactivation of the DRLs when the handbrake is applied (engine off) - Activation of warning lights upon emergency braking - Activation of the "Heart Beat" mode on the START button (Kessy system) --> Totally useless and therefore absolutely essential! π - Activation of the "Drive Green" menu. --> I should come back to it because it's displayed, but there's no score displayed... And the good news is, I was able to check the number of Launch Controls performed on my Kodiaq: 0! That's great. Otherwise, I still have 9 other VCDS modifications in mind. But I'm not sure they're feasible. Anyway, I didn't struggle with the SFD protections, that was the good news. Once I've finished with these VCDS mods, I'll make a dedicated thread. Stay tuned! π

Gearbox in emergency mode
Hi @Ootohere, My engine code is DTUA. According to your screen shots, it could be a DQ381 actually. Thanks! Anyway, I should go to my dealer soon, since my Β΄blue bearβ is about to have 45000 km on the clock. Iβll ask them to confirm the right DSG7 type. π

Gearbox in emergency mode
Hi, I've recently bought a MY2022 Kodiaq fitted with TDI200 4x4 DSG7 Official PR codes list states its gearbox code is UDC. But I don't find anything with this code, and can't define wether it has a DQ381 or a DQ500 DSG7. How could I determine this? Thanks.

Has my MIB3 Alzheimer's?
Hi, Strangely, it worked fine today. π Actually, I almost never select music files from the MFSW. I may be a bit old school. I systematically use the MIB buttons. If I remember well, my micro SD card is FAT.

Pollen filter
Hi, OEM P/N for cabin filter on a MY2017 Mk3 is 5Q0 819 653 Than you can find several ones complying with this ref. Depending on the manufacturer, you can sometimes find ones with activated carbon. I usually go Bosch, or Valeo.

Has my MIB3 Alzheimer's?
Hi, Coming from a Superb Mk3 which had a MUB2.5 and SD cards slots, I've transferred all my .mp3 files to a micro SD so that I can still read music with the USB-C ports and a MicroSD card reader. It works, but: Many album jackets are not displayed anymore, whereas they were in my Superb Mk3. I don't understand that point since I didn't change the files, just copied them. The last file I've read does not start again, when I come back to 'MEDIA', it starts with another .mp3 file but I don't know why this one in particular (different album, different artist, a different one each time this happens, no obvious link)... Is there a box to tick somewhere, to read the last selected/played file as per ACC (keep last selected distance) for instance? I've looked for such a box, but found nothing. Thanks for your help!

A Haldex oil change going really wrong...
Hi, If some of you intend to DIY their Haldex oil change. I've made this "How to guide": I had willingly not mentioned the drain plug of the rear diff to avoid this kind of disaster as shown in the video below. Both drain screws of Haldex and rear differential are unfortunately the same and close one to each other, indeed. Thus be really careful on what you're doing. This video is really interesting in its last third in particular, because it shows all damages on a differential, that has be driven for 9000 miles without oil in. As said in this video, this a DIY fail, that finally leads to huge expenses. If you nevertheless do this mistake, 2 things should warn you, you're on the wrong way: 1) When you remove the Haldex pump to clean the strainer, you'll finally see an important amount of oil flushing, just because, you're actually draining the whole Haldex which was still... full of oil. 2) If you don't remove the Haldex pump, Oil will almost overflow instantly and you'll be able to fill a very small quantity of oil. And there's a good reason for that. Of course you've drained... But you've drained the rear diff instead of the Haldex! Well, better look twice, or the bill may be very steep! Take care buddies!

The Kodiaq I picture thread
Hi, Here after a deep cleaning (bodywork and inside), more or less as it arrived at home: And now with its new summer rims (original ones will be used for winter tyres) π. I didn't chose the real 20" RS rims, but only the 19" replica (also OEM ones) to save a bit of money and comfort. π

Brake pedal noise in traffic - related to the handbrake being applied
Hi, Only feasible on MY18 and onwards: 03-Brakes > Security access : 11966 > Adaptation 10 Select channel "IDE05055-Hydraulic brake assistant" Set new value to "Early" instead of " Normal" as factory setting. Then tick "soft reset" and save. Done. Enjoy at next stop sign or traffic lights. π

Brake pedal noise in traffic - related to the handbrake being applied
When do you ear this 'clunk'? Is it when you precisely lift your foot off the brake pedal, or when you start pressing the gas pedal and exactly when the brakes disengage? If it's the 2nd option, it may be related to the factory setting of the auto hold. I had modified it with VCDS to set the release of the brakes to 'Early' instead of 'Normal'. This enables smoother start and also avoids similar 'clunks' or 'creakings', when the car starts moving with brakes still on with the 'Normal' setting.

Fuel filter change
Hi, I just take it out and drop the new one in. On the very 2 or 3 first times I did it, It emptied it en refilled. But I finally assumed that Skoda mechanics by dealer would absolutely not waste their time this way. This is why I ended up doing this way, and do it the simplest way now. Regarding priming process, I don't use VCDS. I do it the "old way": 1) Set contact ON for 10s to let the fuel pump raise pressure. 2) Set contact OFF for 15s to let pressure drop 3) Repeat steps 1 & 2 4 to 5 times 4) Start engine and feather throttle up to 2000-2200 rpm for 40-50s to get rid of potential remaining bubbles in the fuel injection circuit I've proceeded this way about 8 times. Never had a problem.
