  1. Hi, I had assumed you would rather lubricate the inner spring / stow mechanism to avoid spots on clothes or whatever you put in the boot, as well as dust 'stuck' with silicone spray on the slots But maybe it's too complicated to spray the inner mechanism? I don't know, I've never glanced at this part.
  2. Hi, Which part do you suggest to spray then ? TIA
  3. There are so complex systems in modern cars that sometimes faults are related to another component that you wouldn't think of... For instance, a typical one is a weak battery, it leads to many errors. The last one I've discovered on a friend's MK3 is inability to set the passenger mirror position upon reverse. Even with gear lever in D position, the passenger was going nuts: moving left when pulling the joystick to the right, moving up when pulling the joystick down and no move at all when pulling right or up. Thus, IMHO theses advises seem to be a good thing to check: Grounding is common to almost all systems... Maybe a reason why... 🤷‍♂️
  4. Maybe installing Scout version springs could increase height, but not sure normal version share the same shock absorbers with scout version. Scout springs coupled with normal DCC shock absorbers could lead to a "bad wedding"... AFAIK, DCC system only tunes the shock absorbers displacement speed, it doesn't play on their length.
  5. Another alternative may be to open one of your old VCDS scans. Normally, you can find long coding which is stored in each Control Unit. Unfortunately, if you used "adaptation" function it's not visible in scans.
  6. That's why they've 'invented' the microfiber screen cleaner, presented as a 'simply clever' solution.😁
  7. Standard values are 365 and 730 days depending if you have non LL or LL oil. I've never seen this "1 year +1 week" value after an oil service reset with VCDS. Curious to know where you get this 372 value from. Maybe a specific case, I'm ignoring. TIA for sharing. Note: Manuel reset also automatically switches the oil quality value to 'poor' (meaning non LL) if it was 'good' (meaning LL) before. And it's quite a mess to set it back to 'good' with VCDS if needed.
  8. I didn't know that. How is the water pump then driven? Just curious to know. TIA
  9. Here is what worked for mine: 36 - Seat Adjustment Drivers Side > 07 Coding Change Byte 3 / Bit 1 - Easy Entry from 0 to 1 Change Byte 9 / Bit 6 - Easy Entry front over MMI from 0 to 1 5F - Information-electric > 10 Adaptation Select channel "ENG 122227_ENG 117556 Car Function adaptation - Gen2 Menu_display_seat_configuration" Change value from "Not active" to "Active" Tick "software reset" box before exiting. Otherwise, Control unit needs to be rebooted (press ON/OFF button from Columbus for 5-10s, exit the car, close the door, lock the car, get back into it) Than check in Columbus / Car / Settings / Seats menu. An "Easy Entry" box to tick/untick should appear Note 1: My passenger seat is not equipped with a memory module, thus I was not able to activate Easy Entry for passenger seat. Note 2: if a MY2023, your Mk3 is a FL version. Coding it may be slightly different. Rather have a look to @MartiniB thread on VCDS FL version options, pinned on 1st page. AFAIK, he gave the 'Easy Entry' coding for both front seats. 🤔
  10. I answered about mpg and DPF. Otherwise, I had 3 issues: - Water pump stuck (not that rare with TDI) @62000 km (supported by Skoda France for 90% though warranty was over) - Front DCC shock absorbers starting leaking @95000 km (15% Off from the dealer). But that’s not related to fuel type and won’t help to decide whether going diesel or gasoline. 😁 - Sun roof side seal torn off @ 105000 Still not fuel type related either. 😉 Note: I´ve been the only owner since new. Now 113000km on the clock.
  11. 35mn is already quite long. And with new water pump technology, TDI heats up quite quickly. My TDI190 is already 6 years old, no particular issue about mpg or regen though I only have a 15-20mn commute drive. The only thing is to full throttle sometimes (when engine has reached its normal operating temp) to avoid EGR issue clogged with soot.
  12. I also have enabled it some months ago on my MY18 (built in octobre 2017). No issue with it. The function can be disabled thru the MMI now. I‘ll give you the coding within the week-end.
  13. Sorry for my ignorance, but what do you call CVT. I may have 1or 2 lettres, but I can't manage to get the complete acronym... 🤔 TIA
  14. Maybe it’s possible to remove the warning when door is open with engine running, but never read that on this forum. AFAIK closing the boot from the inside button seems to be feasible only with VCP. I think @ApertureS 👋 our great guru of retrofiting should confirm these points. 😉
  15. You should enjoy the +40 HP and DCC. I would bet on 🤔 a 360° view cam retrofit...
  16. I think he did his best to try to sell one of the last MK3 out of the assembly line.
  17. I think it depends on the LED. For instance footwell can be dimmed though using LEDs... Unfortunately, I can't answer for fog lights since I've changed mine for MTECH Superwhite bulbs which are whiter than OEM ones, but still halogen ones.
  18. I've a dual dashcam. But I fear I can't help your, since I have no direct wiring. The front one is plugged on the OEM A5 camera, with a "Y" connection. The rear one is supplied tru the video cable, which is routed from the front one.
  19. Interesting video. I noticed some curious things : The left side light and fog light come on with wheels turned on the right. The rear blinker has 2 different dynamic modes. The dynamic effect appears when the blinker come off or when it comes on. I looked at the video twice to be sure... Strange, isn't it? Maybe a special demo mode?...
  20. Good thing, that you didn't keep on driving with these transport blocks still on. However, I would keep the appointment by your dealer to show them what they've forgotten and ask them to perform another complete and exhaustive check. Who knows what they could have forgotten additionally... 🙄
  21. Hi, Is that what you're looking for? https://www.kopacek.com/fr/skoda/superb-iii/superb-iii-original-skoda-rear-bumper-diffusor-sport-line-tow-hook-version This is actually the one I bought to replace the plain original one of my L&K version. Otherwise, if you're after a 'sportier' look diffusor, you should find something good still on kopacek.com
  22. OEM oil, is only an oil with a VAG sticker on it 😉. Thus IMHO, as long as you chose an oil which comply with the OEM reference G052182A2, there should be minimum risk.
  23. We are very good at it !😁 Just to give an idea of the average level of our English skills... Though it has improved a bit over the last 10-15 years... A German, an Italian and a French are attending to an English course. The teacher asks to each of them to make a sentence using the 3 words 'pink', 'green' and 'yellow'. The Italian starts and makes a long sentence, using correctly the 3 words. The teacher congratulates him. The German continues with another correct use of the 3 words in his sentence. The teacher congratulates him too. Finally, it's the French turn... He starts having cold sweat drops along his forehead, feels very stressed... And after a loooong hesitation says... Green ! Green !... I pink up 'ze' phone and say... Yellow ? Sorry... 😁
  24. No pet name for my car. 😂 Autonomie (french word) has actually 2 meanings for us : Autonomy and Range. Range is the one I should have used.
