  1. Sorry to "welcome you to the club"... Mine stuck at ~62000km. But I agree, it's too early. I had imagined I would not need to replace it before cambelt replacement (@ 210000 km, upon VAG recommendations on TDI190 engines). I would probably not have waited to reach 210000km, but something like 150000 would have sound more reasonable and realistic... Note: I had been granted a 90% support from Skoda France on water pump replacement (though the car warranty was over), but cambelt replacement was 100% charged to me (only spare parts, since labor was already included in water pump replacement). Just a tip for you, if it can help...
  2. There's a long thread in Octavia 3 forum on this issue. But sorry, I can't find it back. AFAIK, the letter at end of the OEM reference for the latest version doesn't have the hight rank in the alphabet. E.g. : latest version may be an F, whereas G or H version exist. Maybe @MartiniB or @ApertureS do know the reference of the latest version? 🤔 On my side, I finally reinstalled the back armrest in the ski hatch. Happy not to have this wide hole in the rear backrest. My Mk3 is now fully operating. Just on last thing to solve, my rear dashcam displays a black screen since Xmas. I think there's a bad connection int the video cable. But I'll wait for temps to get higher. -7°C this morning here. It 'stings' too much for DIYing. I fear I can get numb fingers and may break plastic trims. I'll wait a bit and I'll take the opportunity to make a housing around this rear dashcam to make it look OEM-like.
  3. Sorry, I can't help you for the coding. But honestly, this greenscore is really strange. I can have an average "mpg" of 6.3 l/100km for a short daily trip but only get a score of 83 pts. And some hours later, I can get a score of 92 pts with a 8.3 l/100km on another short daily trip. 🤪 Recently, I also noticed that a 88 pts score on a flat Motorway could drop down to 52 pts only upon DSG gear shift switched from D to S mode, though rpm did not change at all. Sincerely, I've stopped trying to understand how it works... 😁
  4. I think it shouldn't be a problem. I did it recently with a simple Micro-CAN on a MY2018.
  5. I think G13 is not sold anymore in VAG network. I believe G12 evo is the new standard. But I let those who really know confirm this.
  6. Do you mean your TJA (Traffic Jam Assist) doesn't work anymore? Normally, if the car ahead doesn't move within 3s, your car won't move. You'll need either to press the gas pedal, or pull the ACC slack to resume the selected speed.
  7. I succeeded to put my rear armrest back into operating conditions. But what a mess to open it and disassemble both plastic shells 🤯! It took me more than 2 hours! And... less than 10 seconds to clip them back together. 🙄 Bad news is: I've unfortunatley broken small clips inside Good news are: These missing clips won't be an issue. And... I have not broken the plastic shells, though they are very stiff. I just need to screw the armrest back in the car now. I'll post some interesting pics in the right thread.
  8. It's funny statement, when yourself, you don't trust someone like @ApertureS who works everyday on VAG cars AFAIK. I've never changed my rear pads on my Mk3, but I should need to do it soon. I think I'll follow @ApertureS recommendations to use VCDS rather than listen to someone who only did it twice on a Skoda, with all due respect.
  9. That doesn’t make sense at all. If car is still under warranty, they shall not charge you for diagnostic. This being said, I hope the way they do diagnostics is not limitated to plug diagnostic tool and wait for software scanning result, because: 1) Diagnostic tools can’t tell all 2) othetwise everybody could be a garage owner… 🙄 Just one tip, change for another dealer. This one furiously looks like a stealer… 🙄
  10. French Skoda configurator finally includes Superb Mk4 and Kodiaq Mk2. But prices are not yet available and I assume all options are neither available in the configurator. Currently, you can only chose: bodywork color, rims, and interior type (leather / textile) and color
  11. I've made a test yesterday, since we have negative temps in France these days. Thanks you guys, I discovered that front tear drops wiping is disabled by low temps (btw, I haven't found the minimum temp that disable this function yet. 4°C is possible) On the contrary, tear drops wiping on rear window is not disabled (at least above -2,5°C, I could not test below yet).
  12. You lost me! 😂 Which function should low temps disable? Side view mirror swinging down upon reverse or tear drops wiping?... 🤔😂
  13. Same for me. It seems to be the process described in service bulletin applied by official dealers.
  14. I'm not sure to catch you. IMHO, upon low temp, you can only disable side view mirrors folding function. But you need to make it mannually by unticking the box in the MMI setting menu. Low temps don't disable the side view mirror to swing down upon reverse AFAIK. 🤔 😐
  15. Did you use VCDS to refurbish your rear calipers for Electric Parking Brake deactivation?...
  16. You can tune the Auto-Hold behavior with VCDS. There are 3 possible settings: Early / Normal (default) / Late This modify the way the brakes disengage upon acceleration. They will release early / normal / late. Here is the mod: 03-Brakes > 16-Security Access : 11966 > 10-Adaptation - Select channel "IDE05055-Hydraulic brake assistant" - Change value to "Early" for smoother starts.
  17. @plamen_333 Thanks. Never seen such a mod (but I don't say it's not possible... ) . However, front fog lights do turn on upon reverse.
  18. Sorry for my English, but do you call mirror puddle lights? 🤔
  19. @enisz Did you check if the mod was successful using your wipers, while your car was idling or did you try while driving? Because, I think tear drops wiping doesn't work when the car is stopped and idling, only working while driving. If I remember well, I had been fooled by this important ´detail’ and thought my mod was unsuccesful.
  20. There's no decision! 272, that's it! 😂
  21. @enisz For tear drops wipe on front wipers, maybe you can try this: - 09 Central Electrics > Security Access (31347) > 10 Adaptation : - Select channel "(6B)-Front_wiper - Traenenwischen Front Status" - Change value to "Active" - Click on "Do it" Then, - 09 central Electrics > 07 Coding - Select 2nd line form drop down menu "1-3V1 995119-48x LL 70726" - Byte 0, tick bit 3 "Adaptative Post/Tear Wiping Active" - Byte 2, tick bit 5 "Post/Tear Wiping Active". Your code shall change from 16xxDD to 1ExxFD For tear drops wipe on rear wiper (if equipped), maybe you can try this - 09 Central Electrics > Security Access (31347) > 10 Adaptation : - Select channel "(8B)-Rear_Window_Wiper - Traenenwischen Heck" - Change value to "Active" - Click on "Do it" Then, (only if mod on front wiper is not already done) - 09 central Electrics > 07 Coding - Select 2nd line form drop down menu "1-3V1 995119-48x LL 70726" - Byte 0, tick bit 3 "Adaptative Post/Tear Wiping Active" - Byte 2, tick bit 5 "Post/Tear Wiping Active". Your code shall change from 16xxDD to 1ExxFD Done on my MK3 estate MY18 (built in octobre 2017), works fine.
  22. We often come back the RTFM acronym... 😂 It happened to me recently...
  23. It may also be a consequence of safety norms in case of accident with pedestrian. Design constraints on front bumpers must integrate knees average height. Indeed front bumper height has already been modified theses last years because injuries on knees are very complicated to treat. Maybe safety norms trend to push even further this point. A flat surface enable better energy dispatching…
  24. Hi, When you stop in the parking lot, if you put the gear selector in P first and then activate the EPB, do you still face the same thing when you come back to the car and try to leave?
