Fuel reserve
I meant only remaining range was only 5km with my empty tank, after 958km. Sorry it's 'false friend' and I've made a bad translation . But it's only a human mistake, not a chatbot issue. I use them as less as possible to keep improving my English skills.

Additional Jack Points
I fully agree. I rather read a well documented thread with many Q&A than several short and hence 'superficial' ones.

Fuel reserve
Oh... I think I probably missed this episode... π€ π Back to the initial question of this thread: 69,54l tonight for a full tank. Autonomy had just reached 5km after 958km since previous refueling.

Fuel Flap Actuator Change - Flap wonβt open
Hi, Have a look to the manual. If I remember well, there's a kind of backup opening system in the right side of boot. A kind of red plastic cable to pull... At least I've seen this on several VAG models. I'm guessing our Mk3 are also equipped with this system too. Otherwise, you can search on this forum. I remember 1or 2 threads "fuel flap won't open" or similar.

Fuel reserve
The max I've driven with 0km autonomy remaining was something like 20 km. I didn't try more. 'Diesel roulette' may be risky for your engine and for yourself (depending on what kind of SWMBO model, you have... π€) Joking aside, since autonomy is an assessment based on the way you've driven on the latest miles, the real remaining autonomy once dashboard displays 0, can vary significantly. Regarding fuel tank capacity, the maximum volume I've topped up is around 68.5 l

@ApertureS May I ask what you're retrofitting for such a spaghetti dish? π―π

Easy fit dash cam
Yes, this exists. It mainly depends on the dashcam manufacturer that you chose. Those who propose OEM looking dashcams often use this solution. Indeed, mine was delivered with a "Y" harness, which I had to insert on the A5 camera wiring to get a power supply connection. This way, I didn't have to plug on the fuse box.

is dpf/egr still an issue with newer diesels?
Frank acceleration at motorway entry is not for DPF, but it avoids EGR valve accumalting too much soot as it happens with engines driven at low revs all the time. Regarding regen, you can force it if you drive above 2500 or 3000 rpm for 5 to 10 minutes, I canβt remember the exact minimum time. But it can be forced. I did it once on my Mk2 TDI140 powered (common rail engine)

The actual enemy of DPF / EGR is short trips and low revs driving all the time. My current MK3 is the 5th TDI at home over last 20 years. They've made something like 400000 km ++ in total. None of them had DPF or EGR issue. A 25-30 drive per tank, and sometimes full throttle at montorway entry helps keeping them healthy.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
AFAIK, EFB can be replaced by AGM, but switching from AGM to EFB is not possible, or at least not recommended. Upon my battery order, the website had replaced the AGM one I had chosen without telling me (because there was a shortage on the first one). I've made searches to check if I could keep the EFB one, but I never found the information saying it was OK. Even the website page of the EFB battery they sent me, clearly stated: compliance not warranted for your car. Thus I returned the EFP battery to get an AGM one.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Battery coding is a joke! I've replaced my battery few months ago. The original coding had wrong battery manufacturer 3-letter code (JCB instead VAO) and code was 1111111111. The only thing which you have to pay attention to is : - Setting the right autonomy: 68Ah or 70Ah if you install a stronger one. - Changing the code. 1111111112 can be enough. It's just to warn the ECU, that battery is new for power management.

7P0915105 is an OEM reference from VAG for batteries. Thus, good chance, this is it's original battery.

I agree with previous diagnoses above. Another possibility could be that S&S has been deactivated via VCDS, if the battery is OK. π

OK Thanks I didn't know about this option. Never heard about it before. I don't think it was ever proposed in France.

DCC driving in sleet/snow
Then, why not using 'Individual mode' with everything set on 'Normal' but the engine and/or gearbox (sorry, I can't remember exactly, what can be tuned) on 'ECO' or so ?... Your front all-seasons may be worn out before your P7 on the back... Especially with a FWD. It's already the case on my 4x4.

Wow! It seems that you have now a nice 'peace pipe'... π Sorry, not funny. I would make same same suggestion. Probably the "cheapest" way to sort this out. π€ I wish you can find a solution .

I understand it the same way.

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Since G13 used to be the standard spec when "Mit Silkat" is written on the coolant tank. Thus it is to last 210000 km at least. This is at least my understanding. However, as a non native English speaker, I may miss something. π€

What have you done to your Superb III today?
Considering the timing belt has to be replaced @ 210000 km and that water pump is usually done at the same time. I think the answer is 210000 km... π€

Superb Mk4
Hi, I've discussed with the Director of my local dealer. Mk4 orders will be opened around april or may for France. First delivery should happen around summer. A point I had not noticed in first presentations, he said diesel engine should be in mild Hybrid version to reduce overhall CO2 emissions.
