  1. Don't mix everything. Handbrake uses electric motors on the rear pads only and there's no switch connected to the brake light on this system. We were talking on the main hydraulic brake system with brake pedal, which has a switch behind the brake pedal.
  2. Because coding is not the orginal one, I guess... Additionally, some people think they can play being wizzards wich VCDS or ODBeleven, but they do make a mess... They probably don't only deactivate the brake light with autohold... A bit like Mickey Mouse playing sorcerer's apprentice and try to have the house get cleaned by brooms and buckets. But in the end, he only makes a huge mess... πŸ˜±πŸ˜„ It sounds a bit abrupt. You may be right for most of the trafic conditions, but I can't help thinking that in some severe weather conditions (heavy rain, thick fog, night, or even all at the same time... ) , it's safer for me and my passengers if these brake like keeps being on once stopped.

  4. Why do you want to have them off? IΒ΄m not judging, just trying to understand a point of view which is different from mine. πŸ˜‰
  5. If you ask how TJA control logic is, it's quite simple actually. Once the car in front of you stops, it stops your car too. Then there's a 30s timer. If the car ahead moves within these 30s, your car will moves forward on its own. Otherwise, you need to either press the gas pedal or use the resume function on the ACC stalk (just pull) to make it move forward.

  7. It's my turn today! Black series currently with my Mk3. 😬 I don't understand, I pulled with normal strength... But handle falled on the back seat. I've also found a small spring. What surprises me is that nothing looks broken. I didn't have time to take a close look, but I've seen a small hook and the handle, where I suppose the spring should be connected to. But on the backrest, I don't understand where spring has to be attached. I can post pics if necessary.
  8. Thanks for the warning. IΒ΄ll take a look to the workshop manual
  9. Thanks @ApertureS ! This is the left side on the rear part So it should be this reference, I guess.
  10. The very same thing happened to my Estate this morning will applying silicone spray (with a microfiber towel) on the seal... 😱 @z1ts How did you fix the problem, did you buy a new seal? What was the OEM P/N reference then please? TIA.
  11. All glad to have switched to winter wheels this morning, I also decided to apply some silicone spray (with a microfiber towel) on all door and tailgate seals. I then decided to do the same care to the sunroof seals of my Superb estate and when doing the very last part of the rear window seal… A disaster! The seal has torn off! 😱 Does anyone know the OEM P/N reference please? IΒ΄m not sure I do get the right one on an online ETKA. TIA!
  12. See above, double negative. Thus I believe it will! @SurreyJohn Don't mix version and engine. 'Sportline' only defines the equipment list. It doesn't means which engine you have. On Mk3, you could buy a TSI280 L&K as well as a TDI150 Sportline indeed...
  13. I can't believe a Sportline version won't be proposed before end 2024... I had a quick look on german Skoda configurator. Only 2 engines are proposed though 5 were announced.
  14. Look is fine, but cleaning is boring, especially if you want to wax them... I'm glad when I put mines on as summer wheels at spring, but I hate when I get them off at fall adn time has come to clean and wax them before storing. I don't like Propus Aero for same reason as you. But fuel saving seems to become a key design driver nowadays. And it's now becoming nuts when I see latest Skoda model with alloy wheel + plastic covers clipped on to lower aero drag and thus save fuel... It's awful and a complete nonsense. Why not coming back to simple steel wheels, then weight saving on rotating mass would improve engine time response and help saving fuel... As we say in France: "We're walking on the head"...
  15. Same for me. I was amazed when I came from my halogen equiped MY2009 Audi A3 to my MY2012 Superb Mk2 fitted with Xenons as standard spec. Still satisfied with my current Superb Mk3 also Xenons equiped. But I agree, when you compare to another car fitted with OEM LEDs. It's almost the feeling a boy scout proud of his swiss knife seeing John Rambo coming by with his big guns... πŸ˜„ Yes, I know... talking about Rambo gives an idea of my age. I should have spoken of any Marvel hero to look younger... 🀣
  16. Hi, I've tried this mod this evening: changed 32771 into 14, but still No TMC. Then went back to original coding. 2 possible reasons: - My Mk3 is a MY2017 (1 year 'too old') ? - I don't live in UK. It may be different for France...πŸ€” Neverminds...
  17. Well, I got the answer this morning. They do! But... $36... This means ~ €96 to get it... Weel it hurts, but probably the "cheapest" I could find in a version at least as recent as mine. Thanks a lot @JR RS πŸ‘ for the tip! Much appreciated!
  18. I don't know about these bushes. I would start asking what kind of tires size and reference do you have. In my case, I simply chose new tires with firmer sidewalls (though already with 19" tires). I went from Pirelli P7 Cinturato to Michelin Pilot Sport 4 and this was already night a day about the feedbakc in the steering wheel. Since that time, I can really better "read" the road and my steering is much sharper. But maybe you've already 19" 'sport tires' with stiff sidewalls? πŸ€”
  19. @Dieselgate This may help you to understand this filter story on Haldex pump: I agree, no mileage is strange Haldex oil replacement. Every 30000 miles seems wise, I do it every 45000 which is similar. Depending on what kind of roads you drive (e.g.: mountains, twisty and/or slippy roads) you may like to reduce the interval. If you drive most of the time on motorways, I think it's a bit luxuous. Regarding DSG oil change, if you have a DQ381, the interval is twice the interval for DSG6 DQ250 and most DSG gearbox. It can be wise to replace oil earlier. Replacing filter is also wise. I agree with @Rooted
  20. I've just contacted ECS Tuning to ask them if they ship to France.
  21. Inner rearview mirror housing ordered in black colour (for less than €10) to make a small housing around the back cam. I hope I can find some time to install them quickly once received
  22. C version is still produced by Hella (at least). They're available on automotive spare parts websites in France and sold as new parts. I don't think they're fake ones. πŸ€” I've just had a look on LLLparts.co.uk, it has now raised to $107 at least 😐.
  23. The problem is that I don’t live in UK and since Brexit, there are extra custom taxes which significantly increase the price. IΒ΄ll have a look nevertheless and thanks for your suggestion.
  24. What do you mean by Quicly for instance on a C version? Currently I can't find any F version for less than Twice the price of the C version. 😬 My D version lasted 5.5 years. if a C version can last 3 or 4 years, that suits me. πŸ€”
