  1. Quick cleaning this week-end !
  2. On maxi DOT, just click on the steering wheel button to change the reference: since start / since refueling / long term. Note that ‘long term’ display automatically resets when time exceeds 99h59mn.
  3. Just kerbed my RR black Trinity rim... Turned too tight (though I didn't have the impression of doing so) while driving out of a parking lot. 😬 Will have to wait for switching for winter wheels to restore it. 🙄
  4. Hi, Does anyone know the reference of the OEM harness repair kit? I mean, one with a long enough cable to do the same mod as in this thread? 😁 TIA.
  5. Another one if needed for Mk3:
  6. Here is the right Aliexpress link: https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/1005005136875262.html?spm=a2g0o.cart.0.0.3cfd378dROwlSf&mp=1&gatewayAdapt=glo2fra 3D printer could be an option, but I don't have one. 😁 I was more thinking I might buy a set of the original rear view mirror housing, where the hole the mirror arm could be the hole for the rear dash cam lens... https://www.skoda-parts.com/spare-part/3v08586349b9-foot-cover-for-right-wing-mirror-skoda-42277.html The pair doesn't cost more than 10€... Do you mean a 4K front cam hasn't got a good enough resolution?
  7. Additionally, if someone has an idea to make an OEM looking integration for the rear dashcam, feel free to explain. I'd be very interested. 😃
  8. Hi, I wondering whether I'm gonna buy and install a dual dashcam (front+rear), since the number of driver thinking they're on a track or downing something else (texting SMS, etc.) is increasing too much these last years. I'd like something OEM style as much as possible. Thus, here are 2 possible kits (probably exactly the same product): https://www.aliexpress.com/p/shoppingcart/index.html?spm=a2g0o.detail.0.0.50cd8aor8aorWQ https://fitcamx.com/products/fitcamx-dash-cam-for-skoda-superb-iii-2015-2019?variant=42631939555500 4K front cam + 1080p rear cam + 128Go SD card looks a good choice. Does any of you already has a dual dashcam installed (OEM looking)? What have you chosen? Are you satisfied with it? TIA
  9. I use the same method. Works perfectly! Have a look on cardiagn.com. You can download workshop manuals for free. One is for bodywork interior. You should find the way to do it.
  10. This will become a common option soon with climate change.... 😙🎵🎶
  11. I didn’t even know they exist 🤔. Or… Do you intend to make the first prototype?
  12. Won't it lift a bit your boot floor?
  13. I can't remember, which oil, I used when I did it and wrote the 'How to' guide, but 2 other brands also regularly pop up when you look for DQ250 oil: Mann Oil / VAICO.
  14. Do you know if this 'how to' also apply to a MY2017 Mk" (non FL version)?
  15. If they suit you, that's fine. But I'm convinced that Michelin Primacy or Continental PremiumContact are also good (better?) alternatives.
  16. @ZacDaMan72 GoodYear seem good too, but I don’t want to talk about things I just don’t know. Anyway, GoodYear, Michelin, Continental or Vredestein are good. But Pirelli P7s are one step behind.
  17. I think it should be feasible if you replace all specific parts but at a huge cost, since you need to replace the rear windsreen for a drilled one and big housing parts at least.
  18. Very disapointed with these. There ok until 15-20000km and then the grip in wet conditions is downgrading pretty quick. The sidewalls are too soft for me. That’s better for comfort, but awful for steering sharpness. The sidewalls can bend so much that markings get worn… I switched for Michelin Pilot Sport 4. Much more satisfied. Bad comments on these are very rare…
  19. 64000 km sounds a bit early for bearings. 🤔 Unless roads are in poor conditions in the neighborhood ?…
  20. IMHO this one may be the warning when you open the door with engine shut down but contact still ON... IMHO, this could be to activate the G-meter... Only possible on Sportline version (+ TSI280?) I think.
  21. Original tank with silicate bag has a big "G13" icon on it. G12 eco should be good!
  22. Have ever made a VCDS scan before any change ? 'cause you should find the original coding in your VCDS scan report. Indeed, the header of each control unit states the HW and SW version as well as Control Unit coding.
  23. Done! Feel free to release your file for those who may want to male VCDS changes.
  24. VW has just present the MK4 twin sister Passat Mk9: Sorry that's in German. However, here is what I've caught and may be also in the Superb Mk4. They confirm Passat 9 and Superb 4 will be both built in Bratislava. The sides and especially both front and rear doors are the same on both cars. Note: The Passat will only exist in Estate version. It's Cx value is 0.25 whereas it was 0.3 on Passat Mk8 The total length is 4.92m / width is 1.85. Boot volume is 690l and jumps to 1900l when back seats are folded (they compare it to Mercedes E-Class in Estate version which offers 1830l) The back seats still offer much room for rear passenger legs. The guy is 6'5" tall to give you an idea. Passat has a 12.9" center screen, which can rise to 15" screen in option. Note: The latter one regroups the functions which Škoda has decided to put in the 3 knobs. I don't know whether this is still tue with the 12.9" screen... Passat also has the gear lever moved to the driving wheel, which implies the wipers functions are now regrouped with the left stalk usually only dedicated to lights and directions. It seems most probable that Superb Mk4 will offer the same architecture... It will have the same engines as the Superb Mk4 (Hybrid, Gasoline, Diesel, with same power) all fitted with DSG7 (just as Škoda Mk4). The 'iV version should be 100km autonomy in electric mode. The TDI150 should have a 1400km autonomy. The DCC is 2.0 with dual valves to enable much finer settings between comfort and 'sport' The 'iV' version will be 2200 kg 😱! Regarding prices, the guys reports that he specced the current Passat Mk8 in basic version for € 38k on VW configurator, whereas VW announces the Mk9 will be € 39k in its basic version and will be however quite well equipped. I hope the Superb Mk4 won't have any higher price increase...
  25. I think 'smart buttons' will be mainly a question of getting used to this change. I remmener my first drives with my Mk3 coming straight from a Superb Mk2. At the beginning, I was 'lost' with the 'Columbus', because it was such a jump from one generation to the other compared to RNS510. So many functions ands settings... Thus, it was much safer to do it when car was parked or stopped at a traffic light, because it required too many seconds with eyes off the road to do what I want on the Columbus. But after some hundreds of kilometers I got used to it and it's now very quick to me... Change doesn't necessarily mean 'worse'. First try and then decide whether it's better or not.
