  1. On one hand, I feel fed up with this new marketing trend to sell us things more and more expensive. Without saying the basis prices have already significantly increased. On the other hand, If I really count how many times I've used my Columbus GPS, this 'On demand' options system would have been more interesting for me. (Anyway Columbus was standard spec on my L&K πŸ˜„...). It finally depends on how often you need this 'on demand' options and how long you envision to keep the car to assess the ROI. I assume hope there will still be a way to buy definitely any option.
  2. May be update the firmware? I know some do it. But I don't know how to do it personally.
  3. Glad for you! But I would have been worried if a 27000-mile car did not pass the MOT easily...
  4. @JR RS Soooooo shiny! What kind of stickers did you put on your fuel flap? I assume, they're funny ones...
  5. Fortunately I've found this AQS for €65 to €80 on 2 other French spare parts websites. I'll nevertheless have a look to mine before ordering, to be sure I buy the right one. I've just noticed indeed that Hella proposes 2 AQS (2 different Hella P/N) complying with the 5Q0 907643C OEM reference.
  6. I know some spart parts dealers make insane mark-ups, bu I’m still reluctant to buy cheap electric parts on Ali. This may sound silly, but I fear it may cause an electric fire. Many smart phone owners have experienced this with cheap chinese batteries.
  7. Hi, I went to my local dealer yesterday to get the 'normal' price: €170... Ouch! Just for a plain sensor, it hurts! 😳
  8. Ok, IΒ΄ll try that. Thanks
  9. I've tried many products, but never really got rid of those milky spots... Lucky you if WD40 worked!
  10. Which box are talking about ? Do you mean replacing the 32771, I've mentioned above by 14 and that's it? Sorry if I don't catch you.
  11. Well, I fear Midlands is bit far for me, since I live in France ~20-25km from Paris. 😁 Nevertheless, thanks for your proposal! I've been checking all my VCDS codes tonight. The good thing is that it's all set as it should. I was almost sure, but it's better to double check. When I tried to make the VCDS mod I had found on this forum, I had put all settings back to original values once I noticed the mod doesn't work for me. Hence I "only" need to try the cabling again. But first I'll try to light up the right rear fog light on its own (ground with brown cable / +12V on unplugged pin). I'll come back here when I find time to try again. Thanks.
  12. Thank you guys for such quick answers! I've just look for this P/N on 2 french spare parts websites. One says it's no more available and the other one sells it at ~ €140! 😱 Another possibility is to buy one for €30 to €50 + another €30 shipping costs from a dutch websites... I'll ask the price at my local dealer before I decide where to buy it.
  13. Hi, I've just scanned my MY2018 Mk3. I've got a fault code on "08 Auto HVAC" Control Unit: B10AF [009] - Internal System Fault Confirmed. Wiki Ross-tech states this is a common failure on VAG group vehicles which can be solved by replacing this sensor. Does anyone know where this sensor is located? Does it need any calibration once replaced? P/N would be a great help too to order it before I access the old one. This would save me from accessing the sensor location twice TIA for your help.
  14. Hi, I've just tried to apply this mod, but I have missed something in the explanations above. I did not find this 14 / 15 story... Here is what I've looked at: 5F Module > 10 Adaptation Selected "IDE05111-Fee-based traffic Information (TMC)" Found 32771 value. I did not change anything. Can anyone explain step by step what shall be done ? Shall I replace the 32771 value by 65535? TIA for your help!
  15. It is a DIY job if you can code your new battery using VCDS, OBD eleven or any equivalent.
  16. Low voltage battery can lead to numerous side effects indeed. Just check your battery voltage and if close to 12V, it may be time to replace it. My Mk3 is a MY2018 (built in Q4 2017), I'm envisioning to replace the battery before winter...
  17. IΒ΄ll double check everything.
  18. Considering the original post of the β€˜how to’ was made on a car from Romania, I assume LHD / RHD is not an issue. Only difference seems to be hatchback vs. Estate version. πŸ€”
  19. This why I'm doubting... Could there be something different on LHD estate version? LH fog light has a white/grey wire too. I also tried to bridge the RH fog light from this cable but it remained off.. I'll give another try later.
  20. I unsuccessfully tried to wire the 2nd rear fog light. I followed this 'how to' but it doesn't work for me. I don't know what's wrong. Could it be related to my LHD estate version... πŸ€”
  21. Errr... I think I have bad luck. It does work for me. πŸ™„ I have 3 wires on the left (4 slots / 1 empty on the connector) and only 2 wires on the right (4 slots / 2 empty on the connector). Note: I own a LHD Estate Mk3 (built in Q4 2017). Nevertheless, I've noticed that the right rear light set (bolted on the tailgate) has an unconnected male pin, which I assumed to be for the right fog light. I thought it would be as easy as you describe guys, but it ain't. I've made a connection on the Left rear fog light wire. I've checked that the voltage changes at the other end of my wire upon rear fog light activation: that's fine. I've made a temporary connection to check everything is OK before final assembly, but the right rear fog light doesn't turn on... 😀 May be the male pin is a bit rusty. I forgot to check this point... πŸ€” Conclusion: Back to square One... 😬 Has anyone done this on an estate version? Examples above are only for hatchbacks. May be there's a trick I miss?... πŸ€” I'll also check my VCDS coding, because, I had tried (unsuccessfully *) to activate my right rear fog light using VCDS codes for RHD a couple of years ago. I'm quite sure, I' had put everything back to original LHD coding. But a double check doesn't cost much. (*) I now better understand why, since the bulb😁 is not even wired... Well, any help would be much appreciated. ITA
  22. I think that's the answer. These milky spots may also appear on trims surrounding windows...
  23. Headlining must be removed to access roofrails screws. Be sure of what you want. Chrome roofrails often shows milky spots that can’t be removed, whatever the product you use. πŸ˜€πŸ™„ The trend would be more oriented on glossy black ones.
  24. AFAIK, this is only possible for Sportive versions. Not available for other ones. I've tried unsuccessfully on my MY2018 L&K.
