What have you done to your Kodiaq today?
Hi, I had bought an Audi Q3 Mk1 luggage flap. P/N is 8D9862565 (color code is 4PK for a black one). I know this can exist for different Audi models (just ask the dealer to change the first three characters of the P/N). It's really worth asking for a quotation on 3-4 models (A4, A6, Q5, Q7, in addition to Q3?) because prices can vary from simple to triple! I bought mine for my ex Superb Estate Mk3 roughly 7-8 years ago. I think it was around €35.

DAB radio goes silent if rear window heater is activated
The rear window heater has a dual function: radio antenna + heater. This can explain what you see. I would dig as @Cairus proposed.

Columbus update stuck
Hi, I've removed both fuses for 35mn. But no joy, the update is still stuck. The 'progression circle' remains at the same point. I will try for a longer time...

What have you done to your Kodiaq today?
Hi, 60,000km service today: - Engine oil + oil filter change - Air filter replacement - Cabin filter replacement - Replacement of the 3 wipers (all Bosch Aerotwins --> I hope I won't have any squeaks on the tailgate one 🤞😁) Additionally, since it's no longer under warranty, I did the job myself. But I had a few surprises! The TDI200 has some specific points compared to the TD150 and TDI190. 1) The undertray under the engine is not fixed the same way. Indeed, there are 7 M7 Hex-screws holding it in place, 2 of them had damaged threads 😐. Shall I say maintenance operations were all made by Skoda dealers since new 🙄? Hence, I had to use a tap and die to temporarily restore the tightness efficiency. It easily took me 1h because of the poor access. In the end... I bought 4 new bolts 😁! The undertray is noticeably stiffer than on any other VAG cars I've owned before. Does the undertray also act as a stone guard? ... 2) There's now an external pump (coolant pump?) in front of the oil filter, which reduce the access to the filter housing. You have to unscrew a tab to access it. The socket for the oil filter housing is no longer 32mm, but 24mm. I'll make tutorials later for TDI200 owners. Brake fluid change coming soon too. 😉

Start/stop system not kicking in
As far as I can remember, the i ON/OFF just activates or deactivates the messages related the systems status. IMHO, it has low interest, so I don't use it. This explains why I may not remember 100% right... 😉

Parking pilot issues
Hi, Do you have the possibility to make and post a VCDS scan?

Start/stop system not kicking in
Hi, Maybe a rodent attack... Did you check for footprints on the engine cover or any other plastic under your bonnet? This happened to my wife's ex- Audi Q3. 3 harnesses damaged, with 25 cuts... It took a full afternoon to weld everything and set back to normal... S&S did not kick in anymore...

Rust on wheel hubs
Hi, Yes it is quite spread over almost all VAG models. But not an issue if only a 'surface rust'. I fear your dealer won't propose anything about it, because I guess, they'll most probably say it's only normal wear. If you want them nice again, you can buy a Foliatec Brake Calliper Paint Set in metallic grey. Then remove rust with sand paper, degrease hubs and apply paint. Of course, don't forget to mask what doesn't need to /shall not/ be painted (discs' braking surface, callipers, pads...). Some people here have made it, it gives nice results. I personally intend to do it. I've bought the pain set at the end of last Fall, but it was too cold to do it. I then have to wait for milder temps...

EPB servo replacement
Hi, What kind of fault code do you get when performing a scan with your ODB eleven? Actually, we should have started from the beginning... 😉

Brake components Skoda Superb Estate 2.0 4x4 2019 DSG
ifinterface.com will help you finding the OEM reference and corresponding PR codes for any parts. Then you can check if the parts you intend to buy on any website match the OEM reference. 😉

Columbus update stuck
Hi, I intend to remove the fuse within the week-end. But I'm not sure I understand properly. Shall I remove both fuses from the Infotainment (Fuse #10 - 7,5A - Multimedia System Control Unit) + the Emergency call in the overhead panel (Fuse #17 - 7,5A - Control unit in dash panel insert, control unit for emergency call module and communication unit) for 30mn (contact being OFF)? Do I get it right? TIA. 🙂

I've made 3 Haldex oil replacement myself on my ex Superb Mk3 Estate. Only used OEM oil from my local dealer. Sorry, I don't know other oils.

Kodiaq 2017 - Strange 9 errors from nowhere
Thanks for the feedback. My previous car was a 4x4 Superb Estate Mk3. I kept it for ~8.5 years I fortunately had no issue with Haldex. Climate is pretty fair where I live and roads are rarely salted. I used to clean the bottom of the car with HPC after each period of road salting. This may helped avoiding corrosion. I keep on doing this on my current 4x4 Kodiaq Mk1

Kodiaq 2017 - Strange 9 errors from nowhere
Hi, Do you know the reason why the Haldex Control Unit got corroded inside? Has it been submerged while crossing a river or reversing to launch a boat or a jet ski in the water?

EPB servo replacement
Hi, It looks OK, except the piston MUST NOT be winded, but simply pushed back to avoid damages. Have a look to the 'How to' I've make to replace rear pads. It should help you a bit. If necessery, I can have a look to find the tightening torque of the EPB servo motor screws.

Service Schedule for 73 plate Kodiaq L&K 190bhp diesel
Hi, Service plan says : Oil and filter change every 30000 km (if LL oil, every 15000 otherwise) Cabin filter + wipers every 30000 km Fuel and air filters every 90000 km DSG oil replacement every 120000 km (if DSG7, every 60000km if DSG6) Brake fluid replacement every 2 years Haldex oil replacement every 3 years IMHO Haldex oil replacement should rather be related to mileage (every 45000km sounds a correct period) and Haldex pump should be cleaned at the same time, though this is not mentioned at all on Workshop manuals. Brake fluid is time related because there is a risk it may lose its properties if water (humidity indeed) mixes with the brake fluid, which could cause sponge effect on brake pedal if brake fluid temperature exceeds 100°C. No need to explain what could be the consequences. In your case, brake fluid replacement would be a clever decision. Haldex oil replacement could seem a bit early considering your Kodiaq's mileage, but since it's about to be 3 y.o. there could be a warranty issue if not done. It then depends if you have all services done by an official dealer or if you're a DIYer who plans to make most of the service operations once warranty is over.

Rear wiper blade replacement. 2023 Kodiaq VRS.
Hi, I don't find A284H anymore. Aerotwin reference for rear wiper seems to be 3 397 016 895 (for 280mm-long version).

Windscreen wipers.
Hi, I about to change my front wipers. On the website I'm used to order, they propose AP24U (driver side / 600mm-long) and AP21U (passenger side 530mm-long) separately or the A862S front wipers kit (with 2 wipers, 600 and 530mm-long). What do you recommand? (AP26U is not proposed on this website)

Skoda Kodiaq Haldex Service
Just ask them. As my Kodiaq was still under warranty when it reached 45000km, I had it done by my dealer. I clearly asked them to clean the Haldex pump and its filter. I also ask them some pictures, which they did. 😉

Looking fo tips to remove button row under heating & A/C system control buttons. Help!
Hi, I've ordered and received the memory module (actually a ~4" long cable) to plug behind the ON/OFF button of the Stop & Start system. It was delivered without any installation guide, only a plastic tool to ease the removal of trims. I've managed to remove the mat black plastic trim under the button row, and the small piano black trim above the sliding cover for the phonebox. But I'm stuck there. I don't see where I should press to unclip the button row. If you have the solution, please feel free to share! TIA ;)
