  1. Have you a pic of the filter state after 100000km? I'm really curious how it looks like and how clogged it is especially with the 'harsh' conditions you face. ๐Ÿ™‚
  2. Every 100000 km?! ๐Ÿ˜ณ It sounds huge! I clean the strain gauge on the Haldex pump at each Haldex oil replacement every 45000km. Here are pics of the strain gauge upon Haldex oil replacement on my ex Superb estate Mk3: 1st oil replacement after 45000 km: 3rd oil replacement after 45000 km too: I didn't take picture at 2nd oil replacement, but it was similar (after another 45000km too). I know some 4x4 VAG owners do it every 30000km. It can make sense to adjust the mileage of Haldex oil replacement, depending on where you live and the type of roads you have there, and the way you drive...
  3. Well, I'll let you confirm by your local dealer, but the timing belt replacement Skoda recommendation should be at 210000 km (140000 mi?) for your TDI150 without time limit. My wife formerly had an Audi Q3 Mk1 (MY2015) also TDI150, I had it replaced at ~135000km (~83900mi) and 7 years just for my peace of mind, though the timing belt still looked OK.
  4. Hi, I've made this 'How to' for my ex Superb Estate Mk3 TDI190 4x4: I haven't replaced the Haldex oil on my Kodiaq Mk1 yet. But I assume many things may be common. I suggest going to your local dealer and ask for a quotation to the spare parts guy. It will confirm you whether the P/N are the same or not.
  5. Hi, Sorry, I'm a TDI owner since 2004 (with 5 different VAG models in the family). I can't be 100% sure, but I think you could be right. As far as I can remember, spark plugs replacement is due @ 40000 miles or 4 years on TSI engines. This need to be checked. I let other TSI owners answer you. Regarding the 1st dealer, it seems they tried to get max amount of money, when claiming the full value of an extended service from VWFS (the service provider). But not doing all operations listed on the service plan is fooling the customer. If the spark plugs are actually due at 40000, I would strongly insist to have them doing it. Arguing your Kodiaq was 43000 and they don't know if it was already done is bul***it. If they just remove the 4 spark plugs they should easily see whether they have actually 43000 miles or less than 3-4000 miles. Whatever the way you will solve this point, I would blacklist the 1st dealer and make next services by the 2nd one. I couldn't trust a dealer who tries to fool me...
  6. I thnik I can problem is fixed now. It has been raining over the last 7 days here and ceiling is dry. Great!
  7. Hi, I haven't done it on my ex Superb Mk3, but I've made a 'how to' for the front pads of my Kodiaq Mk1 recently. Maybe you can have a look to it. I guess it will be very similar.
  8. Hi, Sorry, I can't answer, but will follow this topic, since I have the same engine (also MY22) but currently only approaching 60000km on the clock...
  9. The best habit about smoking is to never start! When I was proposed my 1st cirgaret at around 11 yeras old, I immediatly tought to my dad's big hands with his thick fingers ๐Ÿ˜ฑ and I just said: No, thanks! I thank him so much! ๐Ÿ˜˜๐Ÿ˜ Good job @CubbyQ!
  10. OK, but it sounds a bit strange to remove fuse of the OCU to address a Columbus problem ๐Ÿค”... Are they on a commun fuse?
  11. OK, I'll try this. OCU: O? Control Unit?
  12. Hi, I have a MY22 Kodiaq and my Columbus is able to make some software updates "on its own". I've accepted an update after a notification. See topic below: Though there was a message saying this update would be performed in background even if I go back to radio, GPS, or whatever and even if I leave the car, it's stuck. The "update" button is greyed and the progression indicator is frozen. I've rebooted the Columbus 2 or 3 times, but nothing changes. But I'haven't tested a SW reset using my VCDS yet. It's now several days it's stuck. Any idea? TIA for your help.
  13. Hi, Pay attention, that an axle set doesn't contain 4 identical brake pads. Inner and outer pads are different.๐Ÿ˜‰
  14. Hi, Did you open the bonnet and have a close look at your harnesses? No sign of rodent attack? I faced similar problem on my wife's ex Audi Q3. Several DTC on non related components. 3 harnesses damaged and 25 bite marks! It took me a full sunday afternoon to weld everything and bring all systems back to normal.
  15. Would it be enough and make sense to do additional notches on the outside with a hacksaw?
  16. Hi, Sorry, I've never used, nor even seen the OBD11 system. ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  17. I looked at it in daylight. The scratch can be seen a little, but since the edges of the scratch are softened, it doesn't catch the light very well, you have to look for it. I could soften it even more, but that would also mean reducing the varnish thickness. I fear going too far, especially since there's a bordywork edge close to it, and I don't like the risk of going all through the varnish layer there. Considering where I started from, the result seems more than acceptable ๐Ÿ™‚.
  18. Silicone done once again, but I paid much more attention when I did it this time. In particular, I used very soft tennis ball (red ones) to press the rubber hose firmly on the bodywork, and then closed the tailgate like this. to avoid any gap. Hope this works! ๐Ÿคž I let this dry over night and see how it is tomorrow. I'll take a pic of this tennis balls method. ;)
  19. Happy that it helped you @D402!
  20. Hi, After a 40mn detailing work, there's no scratch remaining but this very thin one (few mm above the edge, in the light reflect) : I think, this story ends quite well, fortunately.
  21. Hi, I had to top up oil level on last week-end. I'm not 100% sure, but I think I've poored ~350ml over ~4000km. Much more than my ex. Superb Mk3 which needed roughly 0,5l over 15000km.
  22. The today's evening joke: Which leads to this (raw result):... Fortunately, after a quick high pressure cleaning, this is 'only' this: No dent on the bodywork, only supercial scratches on the clear coat layer. I think I could manage to remove them after a decent polishing... If I don't need more, I would say I've been lucky in the end... I'll have a better look tomorrow with natural daylight. Anyway, I have noted down his plate number, just in case. Since I was ending an overtaking maneuver, I was focused on my right blind spot and didn't pay enough attention to this incredible loading. If it were under daylight, I think I would have noticed it... I just don't understand why he didn't load his %$โ‚ฌ&@ยง plasterboard panel INSIDE his van... ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  23. Maybe worth to be posted in "the Superb Mk3 picture thread" ? ๐Ÿ˜‰ Nice, btw!
  24. Errr... Another mystypo?... ๐Ÿ˜
  25. DOT4 is the required references in VAG workshop manuals. You can find DOT4 in any autostore, some wear specific mention "ABS and ESC compliant". Regarding brands, I've used Valeo, Febi, Ferrodo and Brembo several times without problem. As I do it myself, I rather buy 1.5 liter, just to be sure I have enough fluid to do one of the four calipers twice, if needed... And this costs less than โ‚ฌ20. Having it done by a local mechanic is around โ‚ฌ80.
