Picked mine up this morning, really impressed with it so far. The start/stop does seem a bit keen, but if I'm only lightly pressing the brake or slightly rolling forward it stays off - so it's manageable. The 1.5 has plenty of grunt, and I think that it sounds pretty good (to my ear anyway, maybe I got too used to the diesel rumble). Finding the speedo a bit hard to read, but I'm used to the Civic which had a massive numerical display.

That could have been one the dealer ordered earlier, and the customer was happy with the spec so just took-over that order

Mine (BW7) arrived at the dealer on Tues, and he said prep takes 24 - 48hrs so it should be ready for collection Fri/Sat. The whole order went... 28th December - Ordered 12th-18th Feb (BW7) - Built 22nd Feb - Arrived at UK port 6th March - Arrived at dealer
  4. Ordered one of these: https://www.rewiresecurity.co.uk/db3-odb-gps-tracking-device-glonass - obviously any thief worth their salt would find and remove it or even block the signal, but it gives some piece of mind still. Also a boot liner, as soon as Titan or BootBuddy make one for the Karoq.
  5. Given that they're varioflex seats, did you try the legroom after sliding the rear seat backwards (admittedly using up boot space)? Edit: Although thinking about it, I think they're at the furthest-back position by default, and you can only move them forward to increase the boot.
  6. No one asked for jokes, Yeti keeps coming up with more

I didn't think it was for QC, just convenient logistics; train to Emden, where all of the other VW group cars also end up, then they all get shipped over here together.
  8. Our greyhound isn't a fan of the Civic boot, she demanded something bigger FYI Boot-Buddy are also offering about £60 off if you can get to their factory (Stourport-on-Severn). Still too far for me, unfortunately.
  9. It might not fold fully-flat, but presumably the front passenger seat can still be folded forward a bit? Maybe someone who already has their Karoq could confirm?
  10. I was looking for a boot liner to keep the interior safe from my dog, and found this: http://www.titancovers.co.uk/skoda-karoq-2017-onwards-custom-boot-liner/ So for maybe 4 hours of sitting in a waiting room you can get a £140 liner for free. Tempted to go myself, but 2 hours each way means it's not really worthwhile. Just thought I'd pass on in case other people are closer!
  11. Sorry, should have said "anything suitable for this weather and the rest of the year" I don't like swapping tyres on and off the same rims, would rather get another set for winter and swap the whole wheel off. Also means 5 fewer months for me to introduce my nice 19" alloys to our local kerbstones.

Yep, I was told "Week 7, week commencing 12 February" for my car. Maybe they meant week commencing 26th of Feb (this week) for yours and just typed the wrong month? I've had good information from the live chat people on the Skoda site just by giving them my order number, I'd trust them over anyone else.
  13. Planning to buy another set of 17" alloys (Skoda or 3rd party maybe) and stick a set of CrossClimate+ on. Can't find anything suitable for this weather on the standard 19"s, so will just swap them out for the winter set next year.
  14. Think I'll probably do the same, since Android Auto lets you use Waze (my GPS app of choice) on the infotainment screen.

Had an update from the dealer, my car (BW7) should be getting to them from Sheerness on Tuesday (delayed because of the weather which closed the port), and should be ready for collection next weekend

Dominos gives better delivery info than my dealer It's pretty shoddy that there isn't just a web system you enter your order number into and it tells you what's happened so far and what the next stage is. The information's there (hence Live Chat people are able to tell me) but they just haven't stuck a consumer-facing interface on it. Audi even gives you updates on where it is in the factory (for example); obviously that's a more premium car, but still.

Out of interest, does it take them that long to prepare the car or is that just when you wanted to pick it up?
  18. But you get infotainment online as standard right? I thought that used a SIM card too?
  19. I guess because Care Connect automatically calls emergency services if you're in a crash, maybe there are additional sensors/hardware for it? Unless it really is just the extra button, in which case I would expect them to add it to all cars really.
  20. I was in the same position with a Karoq Edition. My understanding is it's just the auto high-beam (on when it detects you're in an unlit area, off when there's oncoming traffic, etc.), given that the others are standard as you pointed out. I was a bit annoyed because I wouldn't have ordered the option if I knew that's all it was, and it was too late to remove it when I realised. When did you place your order? If it wasn't that long ago you can contact your dealer and change it.
  21. Looks ace, I really like the contrast between the light/dark interior too!

Used live chat yesterday and my car (BW7) has already arrived at the UK port! Presumably this is where it sits in England for two weeks waiting for a transporter

    Kessy

The security issues will probably be solved with the next generation of key, maybe by including an accelerometer in the key itself so the transponder is only active when the key moves (e.g. when the key is in your pocket, rather than just sitting on the kitchen table).
  24. (although you'll find mixed opinions on running in; anywhere from drive very gently, to drive it like you stole it )

Skoda Live Chat (https://www.skoda.co.uk/about-us/contact-us - pops up in the bottom right); just ask for an update and give them the order number and they'll let you know. Not sure if their info is delayed or real-time though.
